Main Challenge-

Attend every HEMA and SCA practice in preparation for the Pas d'Armes and my belt test on the 30th and 31st of January.

Side Challenges-

Attend one parcours session a week, preferably Saturday mornings.

Drink 1L of water daily

Perform at least two Spartan Workouts a week (not counting the mental workouts).

Use any two FitDecks (choices are Bodily Annihilation Bodyweight [custom deck], Strength Stack 52, Yoga, Pilates, SAQ, and Stretching) at least once a week.

Rewards to be determined once the new character creation and quest mechanics are up.

1L of water isn't much, I probably get closer to 3L a day if I train.

LCLimey- I drink a lot of other things throughout the day (sweet tea, coffee, coconut water, etc). Just trying to get a habit for water going.

Saw that Spartan Race had a year-long training program and impulsively signed up for it without thinking about how I can integrate that into this. Might start it a month late to allow me to do this challenge with minimal difficulties. I'll know for sure tomorrow when the email arrives with the plan.

Still haven't received the aforementioned plan.

Did one of my two Spartan workouts today, toned down a little due to time. 3 min jump rope, 15 burpees, 15 walking lunges, 15 push-ups, 15 sandbag squats, and 1.5 mile run/walk.

Yea, one liter isn't too much if you're active.  But still, if you're looking to up water consumption, 1L of straight up water can be tricky - it's still half what common knowledge says is the ideal daily intake.

 

I'd recommend getting a refillable waterbottle, and throwing it on your desk next to you as you work.  It's amazing how the water can just vanish suddenly...

 

Also, didn't know that we were changing our mechanics around here. Okay. Have to look into that then.

Plan arrived. Broken down by weekly goals, so I can easily work those in in place of the normally scheduled Spartan WOD's.

This week- 1+ mile jog x2 (1 down yesterday), 4 min cumulative FLR plank, 40 cumulative squats for the week.

20 of 40 squats completed, did slow shield work with the SCA to learn how to better move my rotella. Longsword drills tomorrow, plus a FitDeck workout. I have hit my water goal so far.

Final results-

Negative to everything not related to my art, but I did earn my belt. I think I'm just going to track everything on the epic quest, as it's a little easier for me to track everything there.
