Eat Clean: 1/4-1/12. Stay on Keto during work days. Plan out supplies for all meals. Non-work days will not be Keto, but will also not allow for junk food. No cereal, chips, cookies, pop-tarts, can teas, or can coffees.

 

+3 to STA

 

Weave Silk: I am still very, very new to Tai Chi, having only just picked up a step-by-step book, and watching a few videos on the background, history, and mentality of the forms. I'm really excited to try it out because it sounds like it will be good for me. I will begin daily practice, and see how far it takes me.

 

+3 to DEX

 

Make Things: There are a few fairly ambitious projects on my cosplay docket for this year. I intend to finish one complete outfit for this first challenge. Duelist!Utena will require only shorts and a jacket. I will need to purchase shoes and part of her armour.

 

+3 to CHA

 

Self Care: Something that's always been a struggle for me. This can be several different things, and I'm working on a list as I go. Cuppa Tea: brew, prepare, sit quietly until done. Bubba Baff: candles, salts/bubbles/bombs, book/magazine, Paige (if needed). Skin Care: face mask, moisturize, body moisturizer.

 

+1 to CON

Monday: Keto for the win! Hit some hard carb cravings in the evening, so I had a froyo bar. It definitely helped. Worked on shoulder stretches and standing practice for approx 15 minutes.

 

Tuesday: Also Keto win! I called out to work so I didn't even eat until 1200 or something, long after I woke up and finally felt hungry. Vacuumed the entire downstairs (and the stairs) and did laundry. Began tackling my craft room, organizing supplies and eliminating old projects and doing some touch-up work on prior pieces.

 

Read a bit more of my YAZombie book. It's a bit boring and predictable (zombie-ism is a clear analogy for either autism or race, depending on the character).

 

Today: Is a Keto fail. I couldn't sleep until almost 2. I tried to get up at 630. I did not, so there was no time for good breakfast. Le sigh. Will work more on standing practice and stepping tonight.

Sounds like you're already getting busy! I have the same problem with food goals when I don't get enough sleep, either because of a time crunch or because I lose a lot of willpower. I should do a sleep goal sometime, but I never do because I think it would be really hard to actually succeed at one. >.<

Weekend Update! Caught up on sleep a whole bunch. I had hoped to get to the museum, but a friend had a bad day at work, so we hung out with her for a while. It was actually for the best, since Ifrit and I both started feeling not so great. Went out and finally saw the last Hunger Games on Thursday night. Got home around 1. Slept until almost noon, and then began destroying the house. There's now a big pile of walls and debris and wood to move from the basement to the upstairs and out, eventually.

 

Last night was self-care night, because of Ifrit working late, so there was fizzy bath stuff and lots of Youtube.

 

I can always count on keto to kick-start my cycle, even when it's off. Sigh. Also ow. Nothing for the last two days was tai chi practice; it just wasn't on my mind. Starting off on a good foot for keto today, I got up in time for breakfast, so yay. I'll work on standing and stepping tonight, finally.

Eat: Done all meals for today, need to log to check my carb count and maybe have some real chocolate. Found last 2 SF chocolates and tiny jar of agave chocolate. Yay.

 

Silk: I'm too unfocused today to do things 'slowly'. I tried to start on my new dance game, but after fighting with it for half an hour and only doing routines twice, I give up.

 

Make: I did some paper patterning last night, along with continuing to hang/fold/donate/trash my stash. I'm too anxious to attempt any fabric patterning. Pulled out all sets needed for next three pieces. Began to lay out pieces for pinning/cutting.

 

Self Care: I could take another hour-long bath. I guess. I dunno.

 

Read: Nothing on my shelf is really leaping out at me. 

 

So, in summation, I am agitated, unfocused, dying for sugar, anxious, and vaguely mopey. Keto + period + depression = bad day for Ever. :flump:

Aww, I'm sorry to hear you feel so bad. Keto + shark week + depression sounds like a really, really bad combination. Don't worry about not getting much stuff done, I think all the ladies here can relate. Just focus on pampering yourself, doing stuff that makes you feel good and get back at it when you have the energy for it again. Lots of hugs your way! And chocolate ;)
