I've found that when my knee is cranky it helps to rub it with red Tiger Balm and put on one of my old neoprene knee supports. The old ones are stretched out and kind of loose, but will stay in place when I'm not exercising. Normally the heat from Tiger Balm is intense for a few minutes, then dissipates. With the neoprene it keeps going for hours. Have you tried wrapping your ankle or your calf? The extra support might help. It takes a while for a person to adapt to reduced caffeine. Just because you didn't feel it doesn't mean it wasn't having an effect on your system.
