Main Quest: "Finish it, start again..."
New Year, new city, new apartement, new job, new challenge. There are a lot of new things this year.


Mission 1: "Finish up the year"
Goal: (Nearly) Finish "Darebee's "Hero's Journey"
Description: I started this workout sequence in my last challenge, but couldn’t finish it. Didn’t expect to, since it contains 60 workout days and as we know the 6-week challenge has a maximum of 42. Anyway, I managed just 20, and continued a bit over the Holidays. There are still plenty of days to go. 32 to be precise, which I am able to finish if I do a few double workout days. But I won‘t be to hard on me if I don’t, since there is plenty other stuff to do!

Description: My mother in law gave me some money for Christmas, since she didn't know what to give... I got myself a nice sledge hammer  :pride:  and built myself a SHOVELGLOVE! :victorious:
Since it’s the first time I work out with this supercool thing I will have to adapt my workout until it fits me. I start with defending the wall and aim to do that every second day.

Summary week 1:

 

Mission 1: I played 4 more days of the Hero's Journey. Not too bad considering that I had to pack and move to another country :)

Mission 2: Unfortunately I couldn't take my Shovelglove to Stockholm and when I came back to Germany I decided to do move the first training session to next week in the new apartement.

Mission 3:  Haven't tried anything new yet, but looking forward to do something next week in the new city.

Life Quest: - Here I scored 565 points! Yay me!!! :D I was very busy with the move, so that gave me a lot of points. But also the reading part gave me some points

mini #1: not too bad, not too bad. I participated up to the diamond push-ups and I definitively see progress over the last months. Since there were quite some push-up exercises in mission one, my arms constantly felt tired.

Summary week 2:

 

I'm behind with keeping track on my missions. Let's try to remember what's happened:

 

I moved to the new apartement and the moving van came on time. I started to unpack and to make a home. There was and still is lots of stuff to do. So I prioritized that over my training and I wasn't that thorough with tracking everything.

 

Mission1: Just two days of the Hero's Journey. I lost motiviation for those exercises somehow, but I want to see it through

Mission 2: Shovelglove is fun. I just did 3 sessions, but this could be motivating for quite some time, if I just vary the exercises a bit.

Mission 3: I got some more information about the training possibilities near by. I plan to check them out next week and planned the times.

week 3:

 

Not too bad, not too bad. Didn't find anything to do a pull-up on yet, so I skipped the mini. Otherwise here are the numbers:

 

Mission 1: 4 Days of the Hero's Quest. Not according to plan, but I feel quite ok about it.

Mission 2: 4 times Shovelglove. Love it. Still have to spice it up a bit. Routine gets a bit boring, and there is much variety one can achieve.

Mission 3: Had to prioritize other things I had to do. Also it turns out, that my first assignment as consultant will be in another city nearby, meaning that I won't be here most of the weekdays, makes me think that I should do this mission in the next challenge.

Live quest: There is still always something to do. And most of time I made quite some effort to do what needed to be done. 217 good points

I was near to a full fizzle-out on the Hero's Journey, as well. I know how you feel about wanting to finish it.

The problem started when I stumbled on a thread about fitness for field archaeologists, which included a passing reference to Shovelglove...

 

Yep, shovelglove is more fun and doesn't tell you how to progress. Though Hero's journey gives you a lot of variety, some exercises I just don't like. Thanks for checking in by the way. I'm a bit lazy on communication this challenge and it helps if someone shows up and starts the conversation. :)
