2016! I'm walking to Mordor. All the freaking way.

Even if I end up looking like this.

So to do this, I have to average 4 miles a day. All the days. So the scoring for this part is easy. The amount of miles = how awesome Im doing. I'll half miles if I ride my bike.

Next if I'm going this far....I better be hydrated. So at least 2 liters a day, extra point for 3

hydration.jpg

The last is get stronger, so I'll be doing Pilates 2 times a week and a bodyweight workout at least one day a week.

I've learned that I must schedule it, if I'm going to do it in anyway. So Wednesdays, bodyweight. RAWR.

My Level Up challenge is Meditate 3x a week. This is the challenge that whooped me last time. So now scheduling. Mon, Wed, Friday. 5 mins at least. More points for more time or days.

So that's it. Except for all the torture my fine Doodlies have in store for me.

Torture?  I resemble that remark.

A true warrior does not train tirelessly to fight, or to kill. A true warrior trains endlessly that he may return home alive.

You all inspire me so much and make me feel like if I don't get out there, I'm in trouble (it works for me).

I'm also working on walking to Mordor. My goal for the year is either Rivendell or Lothlorien (2.5 miles/day) :)

I probably should do that goal...but I really want to push myself. I also do love a long hike, so I figure I can make up for some miles on the weekends. Good luck! I'll see you in Rivendell.

"Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!"  - Conan

Day 5:

Walk 1 mile .25 points

Water 2 liters 1 point

Strength: 0

Meditate: 0 unless you count sleeping half the day while feeling like crap.

Day 6:

Walk: 3.6 miles .75 points

Water: 1 liter (oops) .5 points

Strength: Skiied amazing powder for 2 hours...I'm counting it because my quads are killing me today. 1 point

Meditate: 0

8.5 points then add the 10 from before for a total of 18.5 points.

Meh. The miles are killing my points. Sigh. I will give myself a little slack for on crappy sick day. But I'd have to hike 13 miles today to make up the miles I missed. Harumph.  I did ski this weekend and it was amazing. The knee did so much better than last time and that was great. I suppose I just have to make this the starting point and go from here. I'll probably end up at 50% of my goal, so next week I have to get higher than that for miles.

Since you've been sick, I'd say to adjust your goals to accommodate that, rather than feeling like you have to make it up later or that you failed your goals. No sense in beating yourself up about something you can't control! Focus on getting better :)

My body has decided it hates me (dumb stomach has decided it should rebel and make me treat it better). And Bowie died. So I'm taking the day off.

I did hike yesterday, short but it had a huge hill.

So yesterday's numbers and a week's total.

Walk: 1.3 miles .25

H20: 2 liters 1 point

Strength: 0

Meditate: 0

Total points for last week... 19.75

I made 50% of my goal for miles. So this week...at least 51%.

First, I need to make my stomach happier. Hello water.
