Achaedia Posted January 4, 2016 Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 Hello everyone I've been an assassin for my last several challenges, but I am here to work on getting a steady diet of iron in my workouts. Main Quest: I'm getting married in July and I would like to fit into my wedding dress. Steady relationship weight and the holidays have not been kind to me and I need to get into some sustainable habits that will allow me to hopefully drop some body fat before the big day. I think 20 lbs is not unreasonable. Quest 1: Go to the gym & lift weights 3x a week. I have some trainer appointments to use up, and then my fiancee and I are doing Stronglifts 5x5 on the other days. The plan is Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday and we've done pretty well the past 2 weeks so far. Quest 2: Track food. I'm aiming to track every day, because I overeat when I'm not keeping track of what I eat. The focus this month is on compliance only, not calories or macros. Quest 3: Find and record at least 10 comforting activities that I can do whenever I feel sad or stressed out. I am the world's worst emotional eater, and I need non-food alternatives to big macs that I will be willing and able to substitute when I feel sad or lonely or anxious. LUYL: I have one class left in my grad school program, and it ends on January 31st. If I can get through it, I will be done with my MS. The first half hour was legs (TRX lunges, squats, side squats, leg extensions, leg curls) and the next half hour was core (crunches, back extensions, wood choppers, mountain climbers).Quest Two: tracked all my food today!LUYL: I finished my Module 2 assignment and turned it in. Achaedia Posted January 6, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2016 Day 2 Update Quest 1: Didn't work out yesterday. I wanted to jog but time was not my friend. By the time I got home, I had to make dinner for my fiancee (she had bible study after work and not a lot of time in between) and then it was dark. I don't mind walking after dark if I have my dog with me, but she's not very good on jogs. So, nope. Quest 2: I did track my food Quest 3: I did a mud mask, and I think that could be relaxing enough for one of my strategies, maybe. I'd have to keep the supplies on hand. LUYL: My Module 2 assignment isn't back yet and since this is my thesis project all of the assignments are built on the previous one. My time management plan relies on this getting done either today or tomorrow, so hopefully that will happen soon. Ugh, today the kids are back after winter break. I like them and they're mostly excited to be back, and only one of them is testing my patience, but I'm already tired and I don't feel particularly excited about any of the lessons. Is it Friday yet? My last challenge I didnt lose any weight at all but lost major inches. I did 5x3x115 lbs and 5x2x135 lbs deadlift with the hex bar, and then alternating arms (row, bench press; 3 sets of amrapx3 with 15 sec rest in between) and cardio (line jumps, side steps; 45 sec x 2 and 30 sec x 2). So, one gym day left!Quest 2: tracked food. It was hard because I ate a lot after work and I went 100 calories over even with my workout, but A reminded me that it's just supposed to be logging, not cutting cals. Quest 3: I sort of got started on this. I'll take a photo and post it when I have more to show. LUYL: Did my week 5 discussion post.
