For me, the most difficult thing is outside stresses invading the time and mental space set aside for taking care of myself. Once something like worries about money or employment get a foot in the door, I find myself in a multi-day torpor of junk food and despair. This year is about reminding myself that even if I lose everything - broke, homeless, kittyless - I'll still have my body and my creativity. In fact, I'm stuck with them, so I better make them something I can live with. I tell you what, though, everyone else's threads have been inspiring! Also getting challenge missions from RALLY a service provided by my health insurance provider UHC that I'm trying to fit in. Also first time meditation via Calm or headspace is challenging as well. I want to be an inspiration to my future kids and future patients. Other than that, I love books, board games, dancing and photography. Right now, my goals are to get stronger and more flexible so that I can progress in my pole dancing classes. Superfun! The most difficult thing for me this challenge is to stop procrastinating. During the first week, I've had lots of time to do stuff (classes hasn't started yet), but end up doing my BBWW during the weekend. Blah. Granted, I'm almost twice Steve's age and had never worked out before in my life. But is still my goal. The hardest part of my challenge this time is the walking lunges. We hates them, my Precious! But they are a necessity, as a wise NF friend pointed out. Balance is one of the things we lose as we age, unless we actively work to build balance, and walking lunges do just that. There really hasn't been a 'hardest' part of my challenge so far, as success in one thing really motivates me to keep going. I'd guess that the "on waking qigong" is the biggest challenge then, since it's the start to the chain. I've been reading NF for a good while - but this is my first challenge. I've just made the A Team reserve slot (woo hoo!) so I need to up my awesomeness.What's everyone finding most difficult about their challenges?The bit I'm finding the hardest is to consciously make myself drink water. Finding a reliable gym buddy would help too, i need to pester Sam to go Wed and Saturday.Sent from my LG-V496 using Tapatalk I'm definitely with you on the whole gym thing, I love the gym when I get there, was great walking out of the gym with that exhausted but awesome feeling yesterday, a feeling I have missed, yet the whole week for some reason I had put off and put off getting in and getting it done, it's funny how the mind works at time, hopefully in time I can just get to the gym without thinking about it and make it routine, I hope these challenges will help with that. Budget wise i should just cancel it as i have items at home to workout to... Working two jobs is the excuse i've been using for not going...which is also technically a legitimate reason. i have to choose by the end of this week as their annual fee comes out first of next month and the membership fee comes out next week. I intend to slowly accrue a weight set, bench, and dip bars in the future, but for now bodyweight is sufficient for me. I downloaded You Are Your Own Gym (app) so I wouldn't be able to use the excuse of needing to go to a gym/not affording one/etc. (I still don't do it, but it's good reasoning, yeah?) The hardest part of any challenge for me is forcing myself to adjust my routine. I come up with all these things I'm going to do, but never rearrange my day to make time for them. c25k? Great! Oh but it's a 40-minute thing, plus I have to shower and change after? Well I have to finish this homework first. And there's not enough time before that appointment to get it all done. I could do it when I wake up, but then I'd have to wake up early and who does that? I do have items at home like two 5 pound dumbbells, a step by Jillian MIchaels, and a exercise ball to use if i ever get a pump to put some more air in it (Golds Gym Stayball that has been just sitting for about a year now). I too am a respawner, and part of the issue was that I wasn't being held accountable for what i was eating, and i never consistently posted to the forums to update my progress. At that time i also took it to heart that not many people were replying to my posts, just viewing them. This time around i am listening to the feedback some of the members like Raincloak and RMDC have given me and am also holding myself accountable for what i eat in my Challenge thread. I need to get this weight down...I want to be under 200 pounds...That's why I'm RESPAWNING...and that's why i'm doing my First ever challenge. Granted because i do too many things and don't specialize in one particular type of workout I'll always be a Rebel, but that is fine with me...We're all Unique, let's show them how it's done... Since this time around I'm focusing mainly on my diet (full paleo) to hopefully clearn my mind better as I take steps towards other goals. Mainly been having difficulty finding a "safe" but "open" place to keep my receipts to help keep track where I'm spending my money. While also working on getting my kitchen clean (having to regenerate new ambition each day), and try to work with making it dirty after each meal. Yeah... logical right ? And let's not even talk about food, There's like 4 boxes of bagel bites, many pizza and other bad stuff only in the freezer. I can't even cook stuff in advance because there isin't any place in the freezer to store it.
