Fresh off the boat here and excited to get started. So here's my level 1 challenge

 

Diet:

Swap out one soda per day with black tea. I've been rearranging things so that tea is always within easy reach at home and the office.

Make at least 7 meals per week at home. Since I'm in the habit of eating out for every meal, that's more or less a 50% reduction.

 

Fitness:

Walk at lest five minutes per day.

Sometimes try a different browser, or just try again later... 

 

I saw your intro on the other board, what style belly dance do you do? For quite a few years I did American Tribal Style. Still have thoughts about going back and getting my teacher certification, but that's on the back burner for now

At this point, I'm sticking to quick and easy. Tonight was French bread pizza because I had about 20 minutes between work and rehearsal. Weekends I've already been making a point to make breakfast and tea, generally waffles and bacon. I'll worry about cooking healthy as I go. Eating out in Vegas is so cheap and fresh food is so expensive (and goes bad quickly when you're cooking for one) that its genuinely economical to eat out every meal in Vegas. So this month is just focusing on getting back in the habit of cooking.

One way to make cooking for one easier is batch cooking, then you also have quick/easy things to reheat in the freezer!

I saw your intro on the other board, what style belly dance do you do? For quite a few years I did American Tribal Style.

 

Si I still don't have a solid answer because its one of those things where someone has taken a few styles and picked out the best points of each. Apparently the basic moves are very similar to ATS but beyond the basic moves its more similar to Tribal Fusion. I also have a couple of long distance friends who dance as well, so at big events we'll probably be swapping moves between everyone.
