I've got a fairly sturdy walker (from someone's dead grandma) that I was using for dips/etc.That might work.

Don't know why this made me laugh so much.

Not sure how to do the forearm knee raises at home? Anyone else doing these at home and have ideas? (None of my chairs have arms on them.)

Not sure if you could do it with the correct form, but maybe use the rails in an elevator?  I've done that before, but with my hands holding me up rather than my forearms on them.  Obviously, this requires access to an elevator that is rarely used and/or not caring if people look at you weird. :)

Thanks for all the ideas. Hopefully they will help others too! I live out in the country so no elevators within at least 30 miles, but great idea!

I just went ahead and did them straight-armed on two chair seats and called it close enough, hopefully it counts. My dining chairs have round backs and no arms.

So doing all of these in a row in the span of 30 minutes definitely drove my numbers down................................................

You should have heard me complaining by the time I got to toes to bar.... "Mother ducker, mother ducker, mother ducker."

Hahahaha!! Yeah, people were watching a fairly sub-standard musical (not phantom of the opera or 7 brides for 7 brothers mind you) and I couldn't really go anywhere -thus I was more than usually motivated to keep working out.

so...much....singing...... :hopelessness:

So I did the windsheil dwiper but I feel like it should only be a 0.5 instead of a 1. Because it was ugly and I fell off the bar after wards. Gip slipped and I back flopped onto the mat. It was just ugly all around. But I did technically suceed first.

Also, I need to remember to update these as the week progresses. UNLIKE STARS, mine were done all week long. Not all in one day. Which is just frankly so impressive it's scary.

I need to rewrap my pull up bar with something that is not full of OWW for volume reps and do hanging knee raises + all the other things I didn't bother to do because I knew it would hurt. I wrapped it with the really gritty type of sport wrap back when I had crappier grip and wanted something super grippy, but now it makes it full of OWW. Ugh.

Saturday I retest with better tape RARRR!

Ugh that sounds painful. But, on the upside, everything should seem so much easier now your hands aren't screaming at you during every rep.

This weekend I'll revisit toe touches and try out wipers - my initial effort was more of a "I wonder if I can do these or not?" (okay fine, we'll call it like it was - half-assed). I suppose now it's time to get serious. -Gotta at least strive for starsaparts and Spear Warriors numbers, even tho I will probably instead attempt this and fall on my face with hordes of people to witness my idiocy.

RIGHT?!

It was great at first when my grip was shit and I couldn't really hang there for more than maybe 20 seconds at a time... (got it back around when I started doing aerial and now I hang from all the things all the time sooooo yeah...)

Wednesday, I was at my do-almost-nothing temp office job, babysitting the office on the off chance a client comes by. Plenty of time for this week's challenge!

But where to do them?

I did the floor ones, and I've already established we have nothing to hang from in this office, but what about the forearm ones? After seeing the suggestion of chairs I began scouting the office for appropriate equipment, and noticed the waiting room chairs are super sturdy square-ish wooden things. Will they work?

NOPE. The backs are way too low to get any decent ROM.

I continue the hunt, eyeing everything in this sparsely furnished one-room office for a matched set of 4-5' tall items that might support my weight without tipping.

So I wound up in the "back office" (aka behind the 5' partition wall) using a rolling chair to boost myself up onto the filing cabinet and cubical wall, which aren't quite the same height but close enough. For a bonus challenge, the longest timer on my camera was ten seconds, so that is how long I had to hit the button, carefully position my phone, run over to the filing cabinet, use a rolling chair to boost myself up, and kick the chair out of the way. (Only took me two tries!)

Fitness Challenge - at the office!

For the record, I do not recommend using standard cubicle walls for this purpose. They tip very easily. The filing cabinet was securely braced against a table which was braced against the wall, so that wasn't going to tip, but part of why I needed a chair to get up is that any sideways force would have tipped the cube wall over.

Arm & shoulder strength is definitely the limiting factor here for me. A less awkward setup might help, but likely not by much.

An Unexpected Journey

My wife was asked if she could step in as a replacement to run an archery coaching course this weekend (expenses paid + bonus pay for being last minute ;)) and I thought I might as well tag along. I was planning to sit at the back and fletch some arrows or something but was dispatched this morning to buy lunch.

Shortly after leaving the hall I found myself at the bottom of a large hill and a sign for a public footpath. Got some time, might as well make the most of it... 3 hours later and I'm exploring the hills of the Peak District...

Peak District 1

Making some new friends along the way...

Peak District 2

and I even found a spot to finish off the week's exercises...

Peak District 3

Not a bad day :)

Talk about idyllic scenery, seems like a spiffy way to finish off your week, . I'm especially a fan of your new equine acquaintances -I hope they cheered you on as you completed your final reps.

My weekend attempt at completing the last few exercises has been entertaining as my fever has my legs thinking standing is overrated. I'm a little disappointed not to be able to try these at full capacity but hey, at least I still have arms -I really can't complain. I'm off to go bust out some hanging knee raises....

Amazingly, the bonuses were applied exactly the same way each week - since the system seemed to work.  For anyone curious: points for the number of reps completed in the toughest progression completed (divided by 5 if over 10, divided by 10 if over 20) and 10 points for anyone who managed full reps on the toughest progression of the lot~
