I hope it will help in future moments of struggle to remember that they're also something I can be proud of later, if I rely on my inner strength. I like the four weeks, mostly because I have a fairly short attention span and seemed to lose momentum in the last two weeks. I feel like this is the right amount of time for me to re-evaluate my goals. It's a good way to test out goals, I know I've had some that just didn't click, for whatever reason. Week 2, Day 3 Goal 1: Get Schwifty Five Meditation sessions per week. 2/5 Goal 2: Build a Better Robot 5 lists/2 hour blocks a week. 3/5 Goal 3: Portal Gun Do one creative thing a day. 5x per week. 3/5 Goal 4: Lil Bits 3 meals a day. Moderation and smaller portions. Cutting down on snacks up to 3 a day this week.3/5 Goal 5: The Rick-est Rick Gratitude statements 5x per week. Inspiration 5x per week. Inspiration: 3/5Gratitude: 3/5 I started tracking again, just to keep me more mindful of how much I'm eating and it's going well. I had three meals and one snack yesterday, so that's pretty great. I'm drinking tea after meals, which is my problem time. My brain thinks,"hmmm.. eating was nice, let's keep doing that!" So I give it tea instead . It helps to remember I tend to get nauseous when I eat too much at once too. Seems like 300-500 calories is a meal size my stomach feels comfortable with. ALSO I think I've pinpointed what was causing a lot of my stomach issues; I drink a lot of tea and I was using fake sweetener (I know, I know, this is something I'm looking at for next challenge). I've since cut it out of my tea (though I have some in my coffee in the morning, baby steps) and my stomach has been much better this week! Have practiced guitar, done some singing, a bit of editing, and quite a lot of writing (plus more brainstorming). This novel has changed quite a lot but definitely for the better. My goal is to be 20k into the re-write by the end of the week and I'm currently at ~16k. So do-able. If I don't make that goal, well, I'm still close than I was when the week started Exercise is going strong, I'm going for a walk this morning while it's still nice out, and I'm enjoying the daily activity. Weirdly, I notice that exercise makes me want to eat less, and eat better. So yay for that! It's as if the focus of eating shifts towards fueling your body for working out. It's different from when you don't work out - you don't have the same kind of connection to your body, I guess. I drank aspartame for a decade before it tore my stomach up. I felt a lot better after I stopped drink diet soda. It helped my stomach and I felt better in general. Soda isn't really an issue for me, thankfully. I'll drink natural ginger ale when I'm nauseous sometimes but otherwise eh. Yeah, I echo this about the sweetener, it really bothered me, though it took me a year to figure out what it was <g>.
