But although I've always been a Jedi, I have been called a grey one and actually had more than one lapse into the void of the dark side. As any great Jedi Master will tell you, the dark side is part of everyone. And emerging from it again into the light is what makes you a true master of the Force, if you emerge again, that is.....

QUEST 1 : Nutrition/Snacking

This didn't work out last challenge so I need to change it. Since at the moment I can't really control what I eat, I'll concentrate on quantity instead. Also concentrating on little thing

Mission:   No snacking between meals

QUEST 2 : SIMPLE & SINISTER [ II OF XII ]

Continuing the year of Kettlebell. I'm trying to reduce the light days (swinging a16kg) to no more than once a week and start to introduce some one-handed swings on the hard ones this time. Also I usually did two days off per week last time, but I need to reduce that to one day. TGUs ar not going to change for this challenge.

Mission:  100 Swings per day (either two or one-handed) 24 or 16 kg

                   5 Turkish Get-Ups per side per day with a 12kg

QUEST 3 : Nutrition/Tea

The other little thing to improve the intake side of the equation. Drink at least one litre of tea (additionally to what I usually drink).

Mission:  Drink one litre of tea per day

                Maximum Strength Workout (2 exercises out of one of Push/Pull/Hinge/Squat) 2x per week

My fitness level used to be cat, that means lazy. But I'm upgrading to squirrel right now.

When I lost all of my excused, I found all of my results.

 

Generally a good day. Although when I did the assisted pistol squats on my left leg, they didn't really work, so I had to switch to Shrimp Squats for the rest of the workout. Also my right should felt a little funny (like it sometimes does) so I did the TGUs without weight. Posted the Push and Squat Scores for the Mini, like a good Sith (although I prefer dark Jedi).

Physically strong, mentally indestructable.

 

Not a good day... Had a huge fight with my dad. Too many headstrong people in too little space... No workout or tea, but I wasn't very hungry afterwards so the snack quest workout out fine, at least.

You may not always get what you wish for. But you will always get exactly what you train for.

 

Definitely a better day than yesterday. Didn't keep my snacking goal though, because it was Mardi Gras/Pancake Tuesday and you just have to indulge that before lent starts. Collected some Mini Points for my yellow cristal during my strength workout. Normally I prefer green, but green and blue seem a bit inappropriate for my current Sith status. I don't like red, so yellow was the only option (and it is perfectly fitting for a dark jedi, in my eyes), since there was no violet. My swings also suffered a bit this week, at least I got a couple of practice Get-Ups in after I showered.

It's not that I'm so strong, I just refuse to be weak!

 

Afternoon full of timberwork again, so I had stay up lat for my workout. But I had the motivation and energy for it, so the only real downside was, that didn't get to sleep till 2 am.... But on the plus side, I made some progress on the Minis! Earned my Focus Crystal and my Saber Hilt, yay! The power cell is a little harder to reach, but I'll try to do at least one recipe before the week is over.

Dare to be different!

 

I took a full rest day, because I was doing timberwork woodchopping (I looked it up, and although the material is the same, the second one comes closer in meaning, although I did rarely actually "chopp") all day. Including more than a couple of deadlifts to the wood, some of them pretty heavy, so rest day only in terms of not working out, but not in the sense that I lay around and did nothing.... Didn't trink tea because I was out in the woods most of the day, but didn't snack either!

Train like your stronger, fitter, evil twin ist plotting to kill you.

 

Rainy, rainy day.... Cooked a little for the mini. Then I wanted to play The Old Republic and the update took forever. :( Workout was good, the Endurance was actually only planned for 10 minutes, but I pushed on to 15 because I still could, and then again to 20. Downside was, that afterwards I really didn't want to do S&S, but I motivated myself by watching some twice-my-age guys working out (and I mean really work out with pull-ups and weightlifting and not some senior citizen exercise crap) and told myself, if they can do that then I can at least do the swings; and I did!

Ugh, 10 days without an update... sorry guys. Alhough I haven't been AWOL! The Mini challenge kept me very engaged, even when I didn't have the willpower to work on my personal goals. Also I got my internal calender mixed up, somehow I was convinced that this is week 3 and not already week 4... But it's perfect that the next challenge is starting soon, because I have some tweaking to do with my quests.

Also, on this last challenge day, I finally got the last lightsaber part for the Star Wars Mini, the power cell (which was ironically the first you could earn). Now I'm ready for construction and the March Challenge Star Wars Mini!

Last post and challenge wrap-up:

 

Q1+3 went pretty well, only 6 days missed for each. Q2 was pretty standard except for this last week. Q4 was really great in weeks 2 and 3, but also especially the last week wasn not so good. If it hadn't been for the Guild Mini, I wouldn't have done anything. But in a way being lazy for a couple of days hopefully got rid of those knee and shoulder tweaks I had this challenge.
