I've been obsessed with this show since it was first aired. If people in my life haven't heard of it, they better empty their bladder and strap in for eight hours of television, because it's gonna be marathon time. I picked this as a theme because it has a lot of really powerful messages, and a lot of really hard ones, too.

Just Your Standard Magic Bean Contract

 

I have to have important paperwork done by February 16th of this month. I intend to do one piece a day of all this week, starting 2/1. Next Monday, 2/8, the forms will be complete and ready to be notarized. I will make copies that afternoon and deliver them, along with all registry and receipt copies. After it's in, we will work on taxes, which will need to be accounted for but can be added onto the forms when complete.

When one of your party members starts out as a dog, well...you do what you have to do. 25 minutes on the treadmill with alternating days.

 

When that same dog gets gold-plated, suddenly, you're hauling a lot of weight. 2 sets of gallon rows, walking lunges, and squats on alternating days.

Wolf has a troubled relationship with food. I feel that, Wolf. I do. While he wants to gorge on shepherdess and warm milk, I want to eat all the carbs and lots of juice, too. I need to eat more natural/keto than I have been. I blame my bad habits on being unemployed and depressed. My troubled relationship with food sometimes means that even if there is food in the house that I like, I resist eating, until I make myself sick. I need to not do that.

 

The aim here is to eat natural/keto 2x a day. If that means I'm back to protein shakes at breakfast and eggs for dinner, that's still a positive.

With Valentine's falling during this challenge, I thought it would be fun to include this. Ifrit has been a near saint during the last few months, supporting me and lifting me up. I'd like for us to either get out of the house or do something planned once a week (even if that means sitting down and catching up on Netflix, so long as it's an active choice.). We're planing on seeing a movie next Friday, to start. After that, I'll try to come up with things ahead of time.

 

His schedule is quite firmly on graves, and mine is up in the air. This goal will be edited to reflect any time available.

Standard Contract: 80% of Form 1 is already done. It was easier than I expected, and minus a few last-day details, it's all filled in and filed away for the date.

Walkies! Forty five minutes of shoveling snow.

Standard Contract! I actually got Beast to agree and have a non contest meeting. So that's tomorrow.

L.E.A.F! Had cheese rollups and avocado for supper. I had made fish for elevensies, and forget it was in the warmer. So I ate chicken rollups.

Nice work. Cheese rollups look delicious on google image search. Did you make them with toast? I think I'll hunt down some low carb version for my party on saturday. I just bought some avocado (and lots of other veggies) today so I'm good to go :D

"So, who's this Elsa?" Wolf scritched in irritation at a temple, before adjusting his grip on the shovel. Virginia crumpled up the thin parchment that had appeared on their doorstep. 

 

"I heard about her from the neighbors. She does this kind of thing a lot. Apparently people don't notice as much when it's a northern country if it suddenly snows, but here, a lot of people blame her. Some sort of a temper tantrum kind of thing."

 

"Well, huff puff, when I'm in a bad mood, I don't go and terrorize the nearby horse paddock!"

 

Virginia looked at him levelly.

 

"I....I chase raccoons?" 

 

She nodded, grimly.

 

Standard Contract: I stayed up until almost 7 this morning, totaling all proof of debts that I have. I just woke up from a five hour nap. So, my day is really, really off. I owe a bit more than expected, but it's nothing I can't knock out in a year.

 

Walkies: Finished moving over all of my craft supplies, which took a bit of lifting. No spoons otherwise.

 

L.E.A.F: I'm on the eat-twice-a-day model right now, so I can't give myself full credit for multiple good meals. I had some fruit when I first got up, and some salami roll-ups with veggies for late lunch.

L.E.A.F. Brunch: sausage, yogurt, bread and butter, pumpkin roll. Supper: packet of salmon, bread and butter. 

 

Standard Contract: No work to be done today.

 

Walkies. Still no. I just don't know why this is so hard for me to begin an active routine. I honestly planned on hitting the treadmill once I woke up, but there was a phone call, and then job research. And then I sort of lost the spark. I need someone to nag me into doing this.

 

However! That phone call seemed to prod the Universe into giving me the job I want, rather than waiting another 3 weeks. My background check went through! So I can start work next week.

 

Ifrit has been in a lot of pain lately, so we're postponing the movie until tomorrow.

Go for a walk, then. It's only 25 minutes, that's not that long. You had a movie night planned tonight (sorry to hear about Ifrit :( ), so go on the treadmill instead. You could even watch a movie while on the treadmill (maybe... I don't know how your tv and treadmill are set up). But do it now. If there's something else you absolutely need to get done right now, do that first and go on the treadmill right after that. For added motivation: I just wrote myself a note to keep nagging you about this. I will check back tomorrow to see how you've been. Now go!

 

Also, it's so good to hear you'll be able to start next week! That's exciting :) I hope you'll have a good start and everything will go the way you hope for.

Walkies! One set of lunges and squats completed. Can't do rows (at least not evenly) b/c my lymph node has flared up in my armpit. 

 

L.E.A.F! Breakfast of eggs and bacon with Ifrit. Lunch was pizza (boo). Will have avocado and sausage for late supper.

 

Standard Contract: Well, so much for the non-contest, it seems. Our court date is on the 16th, and I had asked for paperwork from him four days ago. Neither form takes more than an hour to complete. If they are not in my hand by next Thursday, in order to file the non-contest, he will be forced to go ahead. I will come, hell or high water, and I will tell my new job I have an immovable appointment when they schedule me tomorrow.

 

I tried to be nice. He's getting back the rings, as etiquette dictates. We've evenly split all assets down to forks and knives, even. And all he cares about is missing work, from his SELF EMPLOYED SCHEDULE. 

 

I have a copy of a disclosure I need to provide, non-contest or not. I'll run it over to his place, along with the rings, when I'm on errands tonight.

Kissing Town! Ifrit and I finally went to Hail, Ceasar! It's Cohen, so it was funny, and the plot takes a while to cohere, but it was good, overall.

 

What's more important is that we cooked breakfast together. Beast was never this domestic or egalitarian with me. Ifrit asked last night that I be awake just before he got home, and once he was out of his work clothes, he started on the bacon, while I pre-whipped eggs and stuffed bread in the toaster. It was really quiet and lovely and nice.

Thank you for being my Fairy Nagmother, Brin. I'm sorry, I didn't check this over the weekend. I can watch things easily on my phone whilst on the treadmill, b/c it's got a shelf. And a cupholder! Main limitation is I can't use it when Ifrit's asleep. The hum/thudding is loud and it's right outside his door. 

 

And it was too snowy to go to the park? Because Elsa? (I am making excuses. Blargh.)

 

But! It's a new week and I did lunges and my inner thighs hurt now so you should be happy!

 

I am so nervous about tomorrow it's not even funny. It's just c.b.t. stuff and pamplets and videos but it's been five years since I got a new job and I hope my site assignment likes me aaaah!

Tuesday!

 

Leaf: protein shake for breakfast. Lunch was salmon lox om nom.

 

Standard Contract: send reminder to Beast about forms. Not really expecting an answer. Too stressed to do errands right now. Ifrit might drive me over and back if needed.

 

Wednesday!

 

LEAF: Skipped breakfast (too nervous). Went to Wahoo's for lunch, and they offer a paleo platter, which is two proteins, guacamole, and citrus slaw. It was sooo goooood. Got home late from traffic and from detouring to get gas and had to immediately take Ifrit to the doctor. Ate leftovah pizza.

 

Walkies: Just over for lunch and back, and several laps around the building.

 

Thursday!

 

Leaf: Eggs and bacon at breakfast which were undone by a delicious Nutella crepe. I was out with Ifrit and Rose, and that's my excuse. Had veggie snacks while out at Hookah.

 

Walkies! Four blocks to and from hookah night.
