Brahwey's Meet Prep Part 1

I'm the strongest I've been in awhile and figured I might as well not waste the gains and compete before I start to cut. Plan is to do a USPA meet here in Vegas on April 23rd. This puts me about 12 weeks out so this challenge will be part 1 of 3.

Goals:

  1. Lift Everyday: Continue what I've been doing squatting up to a heavy single and back off sets Mon-Sat. Alternate pressing movements press, incline, bench, and dips daily. Max rep chin-ups Mon-Sat and work up to a max triple deadlift on Sun.
  2. Don't get fat: I'll lift in the 242 class and weigh about 245 right now so I don't have much wiggle room. Track meals and hit macros, roughly P-250, C-200, F-75, Kcal-2,500.

Good luck April 23!  I'm interested in the results of lifting every day and eating 2500.

Yeah I know it looks low for someone my size but I've discovered through a lot of trial and error that 2750 is right about my maintenance. I'm pretty sedentary, job and home life wise. My only activity is my lifting (< 1 hr) and my daily dog walk (30-45 min). If I start dropping weight too fast or my lifting begins to suffer, which will be easy to gauge maxing everyday, I'll up the kcals.

24hr so realistically I can probably get up to around 250-255 and water cut, but I just don't feel like it. I've done it before and 255 Brahwhey is a fat disgusting slob.

Oh, I totally get not wanting to be a fat, disgusting slob, just was surprised that 3lb was a problem. :)

I know I can get from 66kg to 61.8kg for a comp with a 2 hour weigh in without really trying, but I'd rather not have to. ;)

Yeah. There was a USAPL one here last year but the meet director sold his gym and moved. The USPA also holds their national and IPL world meets here in Vegas, making it super convenient for me.

Matty needs to get in on that action.

I'm more concerned about the solid center, which is an issue on about 50% of my sessions unfortunately.
