Jonesy
Yeah Assassining isn't a word but whatever. I am so bad at Topic titles and it's better than Jonesy's 2nd Challenge. Haha. Sort of nervous to post here but here it goes. My name is Tiffany. My friends call me Tiff, Jonesy, Mrs. Bilbo Baggins, or Hobbit. This is my first big adventure outside of the Rebels or the Adventurer guild. Little backstory. I’ve been attempting to get healthy for the last 3 or 4 years. I have not been able to find something that makes me keep with it though and it’s starting to piss me off. I want to find something fitness related that makes me want to be active. I’m fitness shy and get incredibly self conscious when trying new things. I’d really like to be able to do a handstand or some of those fancy push ups and this “most of all we are determined to be the masters of our own bodies†is a huge reason why I gravitated towards the Assassins. Long Term Quest :Over the course of the next 2 years I want to lose 100-150lbs, become more flexibly and learn to do some awesome things with my body. Main Quest:For my second challenge, my main quest is to strengthen my body. I want to focus on doing bodyweight workouts, so hello Assassins! Exercise/Food Quests:1. Go to the gym and do yoga at least 1 time each, each week. This is practically the same quest as last time but I’m adding in yoga as well. I want to start using my gym reimbursement for rewards so I need to keep at this. There is no good reason I should not be doing this!!!Gym : Elliptical + StretchingYoga : Yoga For Beginners - 40 Minute Home Yoga Workout or something else if I find one I like better. Grading : A 4+, B 3, C 2, D 1, F 0Character Points : 25 points (6.25 points each week) 2. Do 2 bodyweight or resistance band workouts each week. TRACKINGI have not done bodyweight workouts in a long time so I feel I will struggle with this in the beginning. Warm Up: 2 songs jog in place, 8 Stretches Your Tight Hips Are Begging For Assassins Workout - In honor of moving over to the Assassins guild! Resistance Band Workout 5 min cool down/stretchingGrading - How many days I did bodyweight workouts during the challenge : A 8+, B 5-7, C 2-4, D 1, F 0Character Points : 30 points (7.5 points each week) 3. Track Food everyday. Either write it down or input into Myfitnesspal.I need to get back into the habit of knowing how much I actually eat. I bought a kitchen scale and I’m going to see if measuring some of my food helps will controlling my intake. Grading - How many days did I track : A 25+, B 18-24, C 13-17, D 10-13, F 0-9Character Points : 35 points Life Quest:1. Knit at least 50+ rowsMy main life goal is to read 4 books a month and that won’t change but I have some additional life quests that I’ve been slacking on. I’ve been working on this scarf for my friend for almost 2 years. I’m so horribly slow and have other things to do that it gets pushed to the back burner. I am committed to finishing this damn scarf within the next few challenges. I won’t be starting ANYTHING creative like knitting or painting until this scarf is done! I’m so close too. If I end up finishing this quests early, yippie!Possible books this challenge : Night Seeker, Blood Rites, Parasitology Series, The Diabolical Miss Hyde , Black Widow, Fifth Grave past the Light, & Written in RedGrading : A 50+ or F 0Character Points : 10 5 Quote GoodReads MyFitnessPal Spoiler Previous Challenges: 2020: 1.20 - 2019: 1.19 l 2.19 2018: 1.18 l 2.18 l 3.18 l 4.18 l 5.18 l 6.18 l 7.18 2017: 1.17 I 2.17 I 3.17 I 4.17 I 5.17 l 6.17 l 7.17 l 8.17 I 9.17 l 10.17 2016: 1.16 l 2.16 l DA v.1 l DA v.2 I DA v.2 Reloaded I DA v.3 I DA v.4 I 8.16 I 9.16 I DA v.5 I 11.16 2012: 1 2013: 2 l 3 l 4 l 5 l 6 l 7 l 8 2014: 9 l 10 l Not Done Yet l Time to Conquer l Conquering HFC for Life! Jonesy
Woohoo! New challenge high!!! RAD, here's to the new Assassins! Oh wow, you're doing character points! Is that for the new thing they added last month? I really need to get on top of that.... I'm so uncoordinated I'd make a horrible assassin but I'm going to give it a try! I decided to throw in the points as a reminder for myself to add them. I'm still having an issue with the points actually adding up correctly but Alek has helped me multiple times after my initial screw up. PS DON'T check and uncheck the quests. I accidentally double clicked on one then clicked on one too many times and it's screwed up my points. 1 Quote GoodReads MyFitnessPal Spoiler Previous Challenges: 2020: 1.20 - 2019: 1.19 l 2.19 2018: 1.18 l 2.18 l 3.18 l 4.18 l 5.18 l 6.18 l 7.18 2017: 1.17 I 2.17 I 3.17 I 4.17 I 5.17 l 6.17 l 7.17 l 8.17 I 9.17 l 10.17 2016: 1.16 l 2.16 l DA v.1 l DA v.2 I DA v.2 Reloaded I DA v.3 I DA v.4 I 8.16 I 9.16 I DA v.5 I 11.16 2012: 1 2013: 2 l 3 l 4 l 5 l 6 l 7 l 8 2014: 9 l 10 l Not Done Yet l Time to Conquer l Conquering HFC for Life! And once I started actually finishing things I was inspired because I actually FINISHED STUFF and it was motivating for me. I hope it goes well for you! DO the thing! To be honest, the assassins sort of scared me for a while. I have no idea why but they always have. I should probably implement that rule for my yarn projects. Back in 2010 I taught myself to knit and started a blanket, WHICH I still have not finished. I just get so bored with knitting 9x7 pieces and it takes me forever. Then I discovered crochet which goes so much faster. I've finished a few scarves and hats since I started but they still take me way to long. Then when I do finish I have to block in and I'm a lazy perfectionist so I'm never fully satisfied with what I've accomplished but too lazy to do anything about it. I'm working on that though. Jonesy
I actually wanted to work on my scarf tonight and I hope I have some time but I might not. I need to stop by the store to get food because I forgot to run to the grocery store this weekend, well I really didn't want to go. Instead I read 4 books (Friday - Sunday), took out everything I have in my bathroom and painted the walls. I still need to put up fixtures and my shower curtain. I'm making, well decorating a frameless mirror to eventually hang up but that won't be started or finished until after I have knitted 50 rows! I also need to read about 280 pages of a book that I forgot about and is due back at the library tomorrow. I also want to go to the gym tonight but that might be unrealistic. 2 Quote GoodReads MyFitnessPal Spoiler Previous Challenges: 2020: 1.20 - 2019: 1.19 l 2.19 2018: 1.18 l 2.18 l 3.18 l 4.18 l 5.18 l 6.18 l 7.18 2017: 1.17 I 2.17 I 3.17 I 4.17 I 5.17 l 6.17 l 7.17 l 8.17 I 9.17 l 10.17 2016: 1.16 l 2.16 l DA v.1 l DA v.2 I DA v.2 Reloaded I DA v.3 I DA v.4 I 8.16 I 9.16 I DA v.5 I 11.16 2012: 1 2013: 2 l 3 l 4 l 5 l 6 l 7 l 8 2014: 9 l 10 l Not Done Yet l Time to Conquer l Conquering HFC for Life! Jonesy
Well today was productive. I read 215 pages and will get it done in time to return the book to the library tomorrow. Went grocery shopping for the week and made lunch for tomorrow. Ended the night watching an episode on Netflix and knitting 3 rows. This is the project I'm working on. Once I'm done I'll knit the ends together to make a super long infinity scarf! That's why it's labelled progressions right?? If this scarf was for me, it would totally be a Sounders scarf because I LOVE THEM! I have the best calendar ever and I got it from the Sounders when they were raising money for breast cancer survivors. Let's just say the calendar has a lot of shirtless soccer players. This scarf is for my best friend though and she is more into the Seahawks. She also loves Seattle so I went with the Seattle skyline as a heartbeat and Seahawks colors. I swear the majority of Seattle sports teams have the same basic colors. Funny thing, the green yarn is made locally and is named Legion of Boom! I thought that was appropriate. Jonesy
So far the night has been somewhat of a bust but I sort of salvaged it. Developed a massive migraine after lunch. Ever sound and bump on the road home made me want to throw up. I did stop by the library to return my books and then I took a nap for 2.5 hours. The migraine has been reduced to a soft headache so that's better.Did my assassin workout and boy am I out of shape. Jonesy
Today was a great day even with a minor headache! Totally forgot it was Wednesday so no reading the diabolical book. I have to finish Dresden for book club. I was able to renew the diabolical book though so I have more time. Today after work I took another nap. I hardly ever take naps and twice in a row now. After my nap I had dinner and logged my food for the 3rd day in a row, Woo-hoo! Knitted 7 rows before I went to the gym. Had a fantastic workout, didn't feel pain or extreme exhaustion. I did 20 mins on the elliptical and stretched for 5 mins. Tomorrow is my biggest loser weigh in at work and I'm feeling really good about it.
