lucky fire dragon Posted February 18, 2016 Author Report Share Posted February 18, 2016 Day 15 of Gravity 5 sets of 40 side to side backfists40 raised arm circles40 sec raised arm hold Part 2 Push ups to failure: 10 / 8 / 6 (getting stronger woot woot) So today I was pretty pathetic and useless and would have nearly skipped my workout but that would have been the second day in a row and as the day grew on I didn't want to be that pathetic after all, so as I was starting to cook our supper, it tickled me to fit it in after all and I found: 40 side to side backfists or arm circles can be the perfect occupation while watching onions sauté in the pan. 40 sec raised arm hold was the ideal time frame to roast one side of the (still slightly frozen) salmon before turning it onto the other side,... 5 sets of all those were done right on time to add the cream and let it simmer with closed lid for a while still, therefore my perfect chance to quickly get those push ups in... and voilá food ready by the time workout was done Did I mention how I really like those darebee workouts? That truly is a good blessing. And your daughter enjoying the training! Sounds awesome, and I can relate to at least the drawing part. It must be so exciting to her! PSSST: you know she'll always come home, you raised her right, she is strong and independent, but with loving parents. What an example for me A personal best on Head Stand! Wow wow wow! and so much awesomeness. Your Sundays seem to be the "start with all might and power" day, because it looks like you jump in with both feet and just enjoy the heck out of training!Way to go! She did come home happily and yes, I know that, was just kidding At the same time I love how she gets along away from home, how easily she makes new friends and knows how to enjoy things to do, even if it's work. Best feeling a Mom can have about her kid, I guess, there is no doubt or worry within me that she will make her way into life just fine, whatever it will be. Maybe not so much for my family lol as I only did the bare essentials in work and listened to the audio version during housework, so I was quite absent, but well, now they have me back So during those days I was very lazy. Isn't that so yummy to have in between? I realized I want to plan them in again from time to time, just because. lucky fire dragon Posted March 5, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2016 Thu March 3rd - Day 20 Balance stuff, yay for breather 30 seconds knee press raise30 seconds balance stand (think scale)30 seconds balance stand upright, with arms out to the side, standing on one leg, think tree pose just easier considering I had my worst calf cramps ever from the leg day on Tuesday, despite warming up with sun salutations and plenty of downdogs every morning, I decided to switch the 100 half jacks for warm up with 100 scissor legs while lying down Good choice for calves and abs, that were VERY tangible after that after that 3 min side split stretch and I might be a teensy bit further out with my feet than at the start of the program Had an awesome pole class that night. Even though I felt super tired (and somehow everybody was) I managed the complete warm up, which is often the hardest part and we danced, danced, danced through with hardly a breather as our teacher wants to build some stamina with us for longer choreos to come in the higher levels.Doing a very pretty choreo right now, too and I wish I could show you, but a) not allowed as studio understandably protective on their choreos and not that neat yet, when I do them, haha, but I WILL get there!!It starts with lots of pretty spins, baby spin long leg, plié spin going into back chair long leg,... and once we climb we now are supposed to switch from forward fold seat straight into cross-knee release hangback without too much holding on with hands in between - and ideally back up the same way now that is some core training, oh boy. Will try to video that part tomorrow for non-polers to have any image to go by... let's just say, I found a new challenge Fri March 4th - Day 21 blasted abs againand oh, I was tired and slow that morning... BUT I did my 3 rounds of sun salutations and then tackled it like a good dragon would 3sets of20 sec plank20 sec wide leg plank20 sec one arm plank (10 sec each arm)20 sec raised leg hold20 sec sit-up hold20 sec superman hollow hold the first set was the hardest funny enough, after that it got actually easier. lucky fire dragon Posted March 5, 2016 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2016 Insight: if I do some sun salutations first thing in the morning - that seems doable as I can start slow and wake up while doing them - it makes adding anything else on much easier.if I then do my darebee workout I feel accomplished, awake and fit already and my day starts simply so much better New reward: decided to polish up my dragon scales a bit and got myself a batch of fish oil capsules to take for Omega 3, 6 and 9 plus some silica ones for pretty skin and hair and some potassium to dissolve in water - AND here goes: I am only allowed to boost my body with it all once I have done my morning workout sneaky, right? And so far it worked fabulously! Not yet visibly so much, but for my motivation and sense of healthy pampering Challenge extension: In order to finish my 30 days of Gravity still and because I have one more week at home before having my teacher here to lead a 5 day silent retreat with me translating, which means I will be busy with preparations the first two days and then completely gone for the remainder of the week after this coming one, I decided to not start a new challenge, but prolong this one until March 13th Goals stay the same, pulling through on the darebee workouts, upping my pole training again (I sucked the last two weeks and am so grateful for class once a week at least) and participating in the mini. Only 5 more burpees to go for my Lightsaber Hilt!! I can do this and it might even happen today, yayThen my saber is complete and I can go browse for rivals, mentors, etc... Hey if that was my passion and hubby was prepared to buy that for me, then go for it. You guys are the best <3 For some reason I got no notifications at all for this thread so I only see your replies by chance :/ well, fixed it noe and tomorrow the new challenge will be up, yayyyy Oh and AND: I hinted at hubby (apparently not very subtle) that he should ask my brother in law where he got the gymnastic rings for my nephew from as that would be a really neat bday gift and just two days later my sister tells me: oh by the way M has bought your rings for 13 Euros and will get you the straps once he knows where you are planning to mount them in order to get the right ones. And he thinks that's way too cheap a bday gift, your hubby will have to go find something to add I mean WOW That's how quick it can go, hey! Love, love, love it!!! Now looking for an added wish - no need for encouragement for that one - I looked at the ring 1 program by gmb and wouldn't that be awesome? BUT they say you need to be able to do 5 solid pull ups before starting that program as it assumes that kind of strength hmpf I can't even do one... What do I do? Stubbornly train pull ups every day and hope by May I can do them? Get their Integral Strength program first to get there?
