Second try to reintroduce 24h IF.

Those two goals worked pretty good last challenge, therefore I'm combining them for this one to solidify the habbit.

QUEST 4 - THROUGH PASSION I GAIN STRENGTH

I'm doing the Armstrong Pull-Up Programm again, this time on Rings (gymnastic ones, not like in the picture ;)). That means 5 consecutive days a week push-ups in the morning and a pull-up workout at night.

Pushing and Pulling is covered by quest 4, but I don't intend to forget my hinge, core and leg work. At least twice a week.

I started kettlebelling (Simple & Sinister) a few months ago. I've just started doing the getups with 35lbs, but I've temporarily stepped back to doing swings with 35lb after hurting my back last month.

W1+W2D1-4

 

So, quick recap on the last 9 days. I was a little preoccupied with my non-fitness life and lost my momentum at the end of last week. Then when I motivated myself enough to get back in the game I got some kind of stomach sickness (sidenote: getting unexpected stomach pain in the middle of the night is not nice, especially if you can't fall asleep again), but I drank lots of fennel tea and stayed close to the toilet. After a day and a half I was feeling pretty normal again. But then I woke up the next day with my right wrist hurting like if I pulled a muscle, although I had'nt done anything (at least not wakingly...). And of course that was one of those days when I had to go to the forest with my dad to get fire wood (and I'm talking about whole trunks which we cut into 1 m long trunk pieces, which were still heavy to lift). Yesterday I only did some garden work and I tried to not use my right hand, which wasn't easy, but it feels better today and I hope that Monday I'll be able to work out with it again. Untill then I shall at least do stuff with my left hand, which needs more training anyway as it is my non-dominant hand.

I played around with S&S since fall and started to actually do it in january. 16kg getups scare me :P I tried them and it just wouldn't work so I scaled back to 12kg. But I hope that I've got enough practice under my belt by the end of this challenge to give the 16kg  a try again.

Hello! :D I'm here to cheer you on. I'm impressed you are working on rings for your pull ups. Those things scare me O_O

 

I did the same programm for bar pull-ups a couple of challenges back and that also worked really good. But at the moment I don't have a bar where I live, so I can't do that. BUT I found a way to hang my rings. Therefore I'm doing ring pull-ups. :D Not so good for my confidence because my reps have significantly dropped (also because I stopped doing pull-ups for a while), though.

Here a fellow Sith Accomplice. Though one of the darker ones, for being expelled (to the rangers). Let's see if we can Kick Ass this challenge, but that's not gonna be a problem, talking to a Sith in a Sith themed Challenge, with a Star Wars mini.

 

 

I've actually followed a few rangers now and then, they're a fascinating bunch. ;) Maybe your bad influence gets me expelled to them for a future challenge or two, too.
