Sorry to hear about the missed workouts, but you've managed to shift gears a bit and totally stay productive, which is outstanding! You're definitely making the most of your situation. Hope to see you running again soon!

Adulting and yoga despite Plague Protocols is a major victory in my books.

It's great to hear that you're battling through the fatigue and illness.  An easy start to ease back into your running routines would be accessing a few of the intervals from C25K.

One week off isn't enough to really lose any ground. And with two months to go, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just ease yourself back into it – carefully at first – and then as soon as you feel strong enough, catch back up to where you should be with your plan. No panic necessary! :D

Thank you Rurik and SaltyDragon - that has made me feel a bit less discouraged. Going to try a few intervals tomorrow.

You got this!

I agree with what's already been said, so I won't try to top it. I expect that you've not lost as much ground as you think. If you ease back into it, I imagine that you'll find your pace in no time.

Hi all. Delurking to post again now things are a bit better. I found the RW link very useful. As it suggested, I did half a run on Friday and today I did 5 very slow miles. I haven't helped myself by going to a party last night and drinking - not loads but I'm a lightweight these days and it doesn't take much!

Anyway hopefully I can get back to HM training in earnest now :crosses fingers:

Thanks all for your support!

Glad to hear you are getting better. We all need to let our hair down every now and then and alcohol is great for killing flu bugs*

* completely untrue, but a great excuse to drink a whiskey toddy when sick!

A quick round-up of Week 3:

still getting over over the virus I had last week, but ran on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday and went to the gym on Wednesday.

no more domestic rangering of note but have at least managed to get out and tidy up the garden a bit.

awesomely good on not spending money on myself - no clothes, make-up, cosmetics etc purchased, expenditure had been on household stuff (new kettle, yawn), a new mattress (more yawn - literally!) and a deposit on a holiday (yay!).
