Time to start bashing out what I want to start next week.

I want to have a chore-chart where I'm expected to get most of my dailies done every day and my weeklies done on most weeks. I want to easily go through "for company" rooms and have them easily company ready.

I want to do art or crafts just about every day, or maybe just play with toys like a little kid if I'm really stuck. (I had forgotten about that Ray Bradbury thing.)

I want to limit screen time.

I think what's doable in four weeks is to limit screen time and make progress on de-chaosing the lower level of the house. And figure out what should be on my chore-chart.

My mom has "Monday clean" which I disrupted a little bit by being there, so I don't know the whole thing. I can't take weekends off, so Monday might be my shutdown day.

Just from this partial-week... Limiting screen-time at my mother's house was easy because when I got bored, there were other things to do. It was her house, so helping to tidy was a definite case of "pull your gloves on and do this." Or there were clean-enough areas to work on fun projects half of the time. (Having a puzzle-area set up was nice. I got a cheap canvas kit mostly-painted. I built one of my dragonfly kits and left it there for her to turn into wall-art.)

Here, I'm not sure what to do first, and retreat into the computer to get away from not having the room to enjoy kits.

I think that I should just focus on reporting what I've done instead of worrying about expectations for this challenge.

Yesterday, I poked at the kitchen and made a pot roast.  I got out the food processor and threw an onion, a bunch of carrots, and a head of cabbage through the slicing dish and piled them on top of a three-pound chuck roast with a can of v8.  I put the leftovers in an oven-safe dish so I can just reheat them for dinner.

 

Today, I want to get the kitchen a bit better and get the cat-bathroom area cleaned up.

Screwing around on the internet instead of trying to find breakfast...  I'm going to get sick if I delay much longer.

I watched one and a half videos from art quest... the first video was about getting paper and a binder... not sure what the binder is about yet.  The second one seems to be about making color charts, I'll go back to that at my discretion.

 

I poked at the living room table and got it looking a bit neater and usable.  I poked at the table in the sunroom and didn't manage to get it usable.  I cycled the dishwasher.  I got a lot of laundry sorted and barely any of it is folded or put away.  I think laundry was down to the socks and miscellany on the floor.  I worked on a coloring page from my Minecraft coloring book and I've either made a terrible mistake by buying it, or a terrible mistake for letting myself be bad at maths.  One catbox is empty, one is completely new litter, one might not need to be dumped but rather scooped.  The garbage is beyond what I'm willing to try taking out to the main can.  I emptied a banker's box from my mom that was half books and half toys.  The toys are in a tote that I should drag upstairs soon.  I made macaroni and cheese with old taco meat in it; I don't think it turned out well.  Tomorrow's dinner is leftovers.

Bad me for not checking in... I think I cycled the dishwasher a few times. 

 

I got some cross-stitch done, worked on the same math page and it gives me a headache, plus coloring makes my hand hurt so I have to take that part slow.  (Muscles are just out of practice since I type everything instead of writing by hand.)

 

I played a lot of Minecraft, so fail at limiting screen time.

Putting math in a coloring book just sounds evil. It's not right.

 

I am starting to think that the math book is trash.  The first page took a week, but I figured out some tricks for evil subtraction.  (I think I started doing new math before it was cool.)  The problem was too many stripes and it had nothing to do with minecraft.  The multiplication and division page I pulled looks like a creeper, but it's all division.  The division strawberry is all multiplication.

 

I have done very little if anything.  I haven't been sleeping well because of a gut pain.  I thought it was a trapped fart, hubby thinks it's a kidney stone.  Other than nearly fainting during a mid-night bathroom run, it's not too bad.

After so much nope and meh, yesterday was weirdly productive.  I managed to get one kitchen counter cleared and scrubbed down.  I also dumped some food from the fridge that should have been dealt with a month ago.  I had bought too much meat at the store, but I got the chicken thighs de-boned and all I need to do is cut them up and get them into two freezer bags.  Today I gotta get a pork shoulder disassembled and into freezer packs for curry.  Then I need to scrub the counter again and get the knives and cutting boards clean.

I actually did get the pork shoulder disassembled and the chicken frozen.  Dinner was cold sandwiches... well mine was warm because it was raw chicken this morning.  Hubby's was a steak from last night.  Cutting boards were clean, one is just cheese which is okay.  One knife needed cleaning, now all three do again.
