One rep per side with alternating sides. As a rule, with unilateral work like this, you're going to want to make sure that you let your non-dominant arm set the pace in terms of weight and reps and such. No sense in exacerbating the imbalances that are already there.

Ah, good, that's what I did. Phew!

I hear, ya. Normal bedtime tonight. I get to work on the main project tomorrow.

Admittedly, though, Black Tiger Sex Machine is a really awesome name for a band. It's right up there with Ten Points from Gryffindor, Dan Allen Drive, and Fermented Hamsters. So, you know, it's all good.

Also, tomato and basil is kind of a hack, really, as far as how good it makes things. I personally think it's unreal.

I felt like I could run forever, like I could smell the wind and feel the grass under my feet, and just run forever.

That is not a lot of sleep.   :(   Hopefully you're doing all right!

You'll be okay. You just gotta make up on that sleep. For serious.

Everything's cool. I had to calm down after trying to update a database for a few hours. I had to get help to update it.

Sleep is on the menu.

Gah. Days where you get a lot done but it is not what you looked for. A lot of mixed feels in that bag.

But such days happen and are necessary. So, good that you got it done!

What Kishi said.

And look at the bright side: even if you didn't do what you wanted, you DID still get a lot done!

  • Lunch: 4 tbsp. of peanut butter, a cup of coffee, 2 eggs, and 2 pork sausage
  • Dinner: two homemade hamburgers (one double patty, and one single), a tomato, and half a cup of Bush's baked beans

Workout:

2 TGU @ 25 lb each side, and 160 side kicks each side

Sleep:

10:56; 6 (~6 hr) - no fitbit data :/

I wasn't wearing the fitbit, but it would usually record the night anyway. This time it didn't. Dunno what happened.

- No coding happened, but I did get my portfolio up and running on the live server. I had to play around with getting pretty permalinks (yoursite.com/cool-article/ vs yoursite.com/p?=123551234; the first looks much better) for a while before I got it working. It is working though!

Still, that's some great productivity!  Getting everything looking good/right is important.

Both sides felt solid. I had to redo a few, and that is due to being off-balance. However, I do believe that my balance is improving every so slowly.

How are you liking the TGUs so far?

I'm really liking them! The only problem that i'm seeing is, my wrists are bruising from having the weight rest on them. I don't really think that there is anything I can do about it. I'm think that i'm holding the kettlebell correctly. I hold it like this guy. It's not a huge deal.

Wrong link, but it doesn't matter.  Your wrists need to strengthen as much as anything else.  The TGU truly is a full-body exercise.  Also remember, it's far better to use lighter weight with excellent form than to bump the weight up too soon and risk injury (I'm thinking mainly of the wrist here).

Whoops it was supposed to be this video. Anyway, I understand what you're saying. I misspoke before. My wrist is fine. My forearm is bruising about an inch or so from my wrist due to the KB resting against it. It's purely superficial, i'm not pulling any Black Knight stuff. Yesterday I used a shin guard on my arm to help with that.

Oh, that's way smart. I pull Black Knight all the time, because I'm terrible toward myself. But that's a smooth idea, using a guard to pad it out. I wish I'd thought of it.

Also, I'd say kick back and relax, but that doesn't sound like it would work, now that you have a habit established. :D

I agree, I don't see why I shouldn't stop. My kicks are only going to get better with practice.

You inspire me to work on code! Even though I don't understand even half of what I don't understand!

Also I deleted the extra post. Unless you meant to fill it with gifs. You can still do that. :)

Do all the code! Also, thank you for deleting the post. There was a weird hiccup with the server as I was about to post.

So lemme tell you what happened...WALL OF TEXT INCOMING!

The graphics library i'm using uses a unit circle that is different than the unit circle that all trigonometric functions use, in order to orient objects on the screen. A normal unit circle is setup with 0° in the positive X direction, 90° in the positive Y direction, 180° in the negative X direction, and 270° in the negative Y direction. Their circle is rotated 90° counter-clockwise, and flipped over the Y axis. This combined with the fact that most computers consider the positive Y to go down the screen makes 0° point in the negative Y direction, 90° in the positive X direction, 180° in the positive Y direction, and 270° in the negative X direction. The fix turned out to be taking the angle from the graphics library multiplying it by -1 and adding 360° to get the angle on the standard unit circle. Since the program window has a flipped y-axis, I had to take the converted angle and plug it into the negative sine function and negative cosine function to get the X and Y, respectively. Then, I could take the X and Y and use it to modify the direction of my object. I haven't got a clue why the maintainers of the graphics library couldn't set up a unit circle correctly. Oh well.

Yay, a wall of text. If you read all that, give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it. :D
