I once gained 10 lbs over a holiday season working for a bank because of the ridiculous amounts of food and chocolate goodness businesses brought in. Sabotage I tell you!!

As per bodily instructions, this week was geared down to a rest week. Looking back, it's been a while since I took a light week. Go figure. Unless of course Joshua T decides to throw down on the whole rival thing, and then of course I will meet the challenge

 

Yeah, my back is also warning me to not be an idiot and overdo it. So, how about a diet challenge?

 

 

So... starting today no alcohol, no bread/rice/potatoes, as little dairy as possible. Basically as close to Paleo as I ever can get. And I really need to track this shit.

 

 

Maybe 1 point per healthy meal, max 3 points per day? Starting day whenever you like. (Tomorrow, Monday, or tally back from the start of this challenge. Whatever.)

 

I think we've both stated pretty clear standards on what we each consider a healthy meal, so just a self-assessed pass/fail for each meal.

 

That way we can channel our crazy enthusiasm in a non-injurious direction.

Yesterday was a glorious day. OMG so good for the soul.

 

So yesterday the weather was sitting around +1 and sunny, very little wind. SO I sat on the in-laws porch with my husband from noon to around 4:30, just SOAKING up the sun. It felt so good after the cold and miserable winter locked in doors. This whole weeks is supposed to be nice out so I plan on peeling the plastic off the windows and opening things up. And then the spring cleaning will commence. YAY!

So I'm starting new Games in both Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 (it's fun to jump around now that I've finished the series, though with no DLC for PS3 on Inquisition I need a new system to finish that out completely). My god this series is a ton of fun.

 

Potion Making

So my rival and I are going to battle in enthusiastic healthful eating! Day one off to a good start for me. 2 egg omlette with green peppers, onions, mushrooms. And a large coffee with milk in it because I am a WUSS WITH HOT

Also, food prep points for dinner tonight as we have a homemade tortierre to eat. Game meats (venison and I think some pheasant), I'll skip the crust, and we've got peas for some veggie bonus. Going to bring part of it to work tomorrow for lunch too

 

Dual Wield

I am currently too broke to go to the gym I want to attend for training obstacle shit, but the moment I get paid on Friday I am putting aside money to do it. Talked to the hubby about it and he is all for me going, and he suggested that I can go for the 8:45 pm start, go right through to 10 and them come home then to shower and get to bed at a somewhat decent time. YAY!

Also, rest week is over so today I get on the treadmill/stair combo path to making my cardio stronger!

 

Recruiting Companions

On Friday this week I have a hot tub date with some of my friends. Which is exciting but at the same time....trying not to drink here guys LOL. Saturday I attend a baby shower so at least I know there's no alcohol there. Also... I don't feel like being pregnant. Like....ever. I think I would like kids, and would like to have my own kids if possible but....yah I don't want to be pregnant.

No biological clock ticking here yet and I think people are starting to wonder.....

 

Upgrading Gear

So still no definitive choice on what I would use to track heart rate and all that. Bah Humbug. I just don't know tech that well... and frankly I might not need it so screw it. I would rather save the money to do my OCRs and get a new gaming systems.

LOL.

Now I just need to track food in MFP CONSISTENLY. Why do I suck so bad at that????

My birthday is exactly a month after yours! And I had no idea I was so close in age to you! I feel the glow of awesomeness as we rock our 30s.

Your comments about pregnancy crack me up, I'm technically getting a baby for my 31st birthday gift this year (I always like to count the entire year as a gift for my birthday haha). It really depends on the person - I'm apparently pro at making babies without side effects (I never get sick/throw up, etc) but I have others in my family who get horribly sick when pregnant. No rush though for sure! I'm glad I did some things like going to Europe and Japan and such before having kids.

I'm good with kids. I'm actually pretty great with them, from baby right up to adult. My husband is good with kids. I just have no urge to HAVE kids yet. And people are constantly asking me when we'll start having kids. And I'm like 'maybe in a couple of years....' I just... am not sure if that's secret Trewest code for 'never but I can't admit that yet'.

$15, 10, and $20 for specators?  These things must be pretty popular if spectators must pay to watch.  I haven't been to one yet but it looks fun to compete in.  My son has done a couple.

Willies- rainbow run sounds fun. Very tempted to do that as well as some of the others. I figure you know what? I want to make this year about doing things that I get excited about. Can't do a vacation because there is no money and hubby may or may not have a job coming end of April, and if he does have a job then next year we can have a vacation. So OCRs it is lol.

 

Kagetsukai- I think some of my meh feeling about offspring could be because people keep trying to push the idea on me. Like...yeah no that's a bad tactic to take with me. LOL

 

Peelout- I think they charge spectators as a way to cover the cost of renting the locations. The participants pay to run it, and that covers the cost of setting it up, insurance, and paying for repairs/damages to the location. Spectator costs cover the site rental and making sure people get paid for doing this I guess

That's a nice list of OCR's. I just googled Mud Hero and Badass Dash, they both look cool. Badass Dash looks tricky! What evil organisation makes you do push ups in the middle of an OCR!?

So I have allowed myself to have 2 pieces of toast in the mornings, just because I end up so freaking hungry by 10 am if I don't. And I usually workout at 11:30 or 12 so I don't get to eat until after that. We'll see if this back fires or if it helps my energy levels.
