Yep! I got to gym today after work! It feels great! I am adding weight slowly 5lbs per week and working on increasing the number of reps. Right now Squat-80lbs; Benchpress-75lbs; Barbell row-75lbs and I am adding a few machines because sometimes the free-weights are crowded

 

Three times for week one :)

Ok, I am looking to keep going with the Monday, Wednesday, Friday workout schedule!

 

Saturday I ate some donuts... I had my car repaired across the street from a famous area doughnut shop. So I fell prey to the lure of the tastiness of specialty doughnuts :(

I felt horrible, my skin reacted, lips were itch, stomach ache.... yucky feelings!

When I am working out I just feel better when eating "clean" ish. :)

I had three little birds outside my window! :triumphant: :triumphant: :triumphant:

 

It is nice to get reminders not to worry! I am still on leave so those birds are especially meaningful. 

 

Gratitude:

I am grateful for sunshine and spring flowers. They always help to make you feel better :)

I am grateful for the three little birds, and the life lesson of learning not to worry. It is difficult at the moment.

I am grateful for a call from a friend with encouraging words.

I got to the gym on Monday, only had 20 minutes. Both cages were being used so I used some machines, overhead press, chest press and the leg press. Happy that I was able to fit it into a busy day.

 

I am grateful for supportive friends.

I am grateful for a healthy body.

I am grateful for a new friend who sent me a new favorite song, "Ma il cielo e sempre pui blu" by Rino Gaetano :)

I am grateful for a positive outlook and a good heart. :love_heart:

All awesome! When the racks are taken up, have you considered the dumbbell variations for those lifts as an alternative?

I am having skin issues again. No cookies, no nuts! so far I think those are the worst offenders! Skin feels really raw and my stomach feels awful and I have bloating. I am hoping with diet changes I can get my skin and body not so inflamed. I think I have a flood of cortisol and my immune system kicks into high gear and it wipes me out!

Blech! Crowded gyms are the worst! So much harder to get things done, but I guess it's a test of patience and perseverance.

 

And being inundated with cortisol is no fun...I had been dealing with that last several months. GI system was not happy at all! Hope it turns around for you soon!

I am off leave and back to work today. Workout plan for after school :)

Worked out and I think I am starting to see the effects of the workouts :)

I kinda looked good at the gym

I just need to keep going...

 

 

I am eating better and my skin is healing. :)

Haha! Just go ahead and say you looked good at the gym ;) So glad it's getting better!
