That's my secret...I'm always late (Schaengel's last minute march madness)

Okay so two week's into march I'll start my thread for this challenge. Since the good thing about being late is having more adrenaline to get things done let's get this going.

I had a lot of time to do while traveling and a lot of new goals and fun plan's popped up in that time. To be well prepared when going for them I will use the remaining march for preparation and realignments.

Goals:

Restore the Batcave

Looks like the Riddler was loose in the Batcave (I have to watch that movie again). The goal is to prepare my room for the challenges to come.

- One scribble place per project

- space for yoga/bodyweight training

- clean and organised desk to make studying possible

Everyone has got a band now...

The dream of making music is still alive and became more fueled in Japan so sub goals are.

- Prepare Guitar and move to more prominent space

- search for good online guitar course

- search for online singing course

- find book on songwriting

Let the Hunger Games beginn

I have to get my eating back in control to be able to hit my weight goal this year.

- Find good source of low-carb recipes

- check out paleo

- buy low carb baking stuff *Plan changed*

- try to understand that micro/makro stuff

Insane in the membrane

- keep meditation going ( ones per day) * Nope *

- two free afternoons per week

All the goals are yes/no goals so I will rate at the end of the month depending on how much goals have been crossed of.

Looks like you have some pretty concrete ideas in place. If you happen to figure out the magic to keeping a clean desk, please let me know. My gets buried almost as fast as I clear it off. :)

Love the music idea. Have you done any sort of band before?

The first day's back were...quite mixed. I started on the room preparation stuff and went to university and got that going, also worked on 3 of my projects.

But also managed to get some social activities in, went to the football game, went to the ice hockey playoffs and meet with my friends.

The downside is that I didn't worked on the music goal at all and have been eating like a total idiot for the last days...somehow getting back to low carb seems to always start with binge eating for me which is of course crap :(... so a mixed start.

Also I thought, that I managed to dodge the jetlag but somehow I'm always tired at 7-8 in the evening, much sooner than normal so I think it got me in the end...

@Jayniana Jones:

If the desk things I planed work I will tell you ;)

With the band stuff, when I was in school I let myself getting pushed out of guitar class because of group pressure and I'm still angry about that (mostly angry about myself!!). The songwriting stuff (and writing in general) is something that I feel comfortable with so I try to use that as a gateway to singing and playing...let's see how that works

I find that now that I am an adult I am getting to do all those things I was too scared to do, or to embarrassed to do, or was talked or pressured out of - I was a bellydancer for a few years, now I'm working on becoming an artist. Now if only I could find a free or cheap summer camp near me for adults!

I am excited for you! Way to go doing something you regretted missing out on and changing that story! :)

It can be really tough not to binge when you plan on starting to eat healthier. Maybe instead of planning to go "cold turkey" you could plan to do just one thing. Like eat one healthy meal or include vegetables in one meal or whatever works for you. And just do that one thing every day. When that feels normal or easy add something else. You won't get results as quickly, but you'll get quicker results than you would if you went "cold turkey" and then fell off the wagon.

It actually looks to me like you've gotten a good start considering you just got back from your trip. Keep it up!

Can you ( as someone who is obvious more used to yoga) tell me which of these poses are for beginners...I tried some that looked manageable and ended quite quickly with a f' NO feeling :/

Wednesday...and nearly everything back to normal.

Slept longer than the last days which is good because if I can keep the timing I had today I'm in my perfect sleep-wake cycle...

Tried to catch up more on the NF threads (finally up to date in starsaparts thread...and now hooked to Miss Fisher Murder Mystery).

Did some studying cause I write a exam on Friday and it's annoying me because this year our schedule is mixed up so the exams are spread over the semester and not collected at the end...

Had a little fight with my brother because I misplaced our car-papers (at least he thinks that I did it and since it's possible I wait and see) and he blocked netflix till I find them (and the annoying part is that at the moment everything around here is clean and tidy so no clue were the stupid things are :( and no more Miss Fisher...but I have to learn anyway so that's somehow okay.

Eating was okay, not really good but better than the last days. I hope at the end of the week I will be used to the diet again.

Did some Batcave stuff while searching for the papers but nothing finished so far...need to get some results in soon or this challenge will not be that nice...

@SnowOwl

Yes being an adult really offers the opportunity to catch up on things missed before. Also I must say that my traveling and some conversations I had there really motivated and helped me to get my priorities and motivations for many things back in order...and chasing your dreams is one of them ;)

Real Thursday >_<

Started the day with yoga and coffee, thanks to the motivation by SnowOwl...somebody has to keep the dark side at bay ;)

After that I went shopping and since I wasn't hungry at the time managed to by nearly carb free and also had a carb free lunch, hooray. Then I had a group meeting for my university project today and that went awesome. Our professor thinks it's the one of the best project ideas in the last 3 years and also the company we're working with is really motivated and committed.

After that went to training, did a circle of:

-burpees

-crunches

-mountain climbers

-lunges

-push ups

-supermann

-plank

-squats

-dips

-and one I'm forgetting

45seconds each 3 circles

Then cooked a low carb dinner with what was left from the last days, ended with chicken in tomato sauce with cheese :D

Now I'm going to relax and do some learning for the exam tomorrow...tomorrow >_< wish me luck >_<

(Also because of university, learning and sport no things of my challenge were done...also missed Spanish course, damn)

Sounds like a great day! I'm sure challenge stuff will come along soon. Once I feel good and productive in one area, I find my motivation in other areas rises too.

I think you will do better looking at the yoga poses on your own as hard and easy are very person specific with this - except for things like that ear pose!

I can not do head to knees, nor most of the poses which require hamstring flexibility. Twists on the other hand I conquer!

Hope you are doing well.

Weekend update:

Everything going quite okay.

Didn't eat to bad and actually managed two nearly perfect low-carb days (didn't eat really good today but can live with that)

Got back in the university flow and managed to implement a lot of reading (NF, food stuff and for my projects) in my daily plans which is awesome.

Managed to prepare my workout place and started doing the 30 days yoga with Adriene.

Got some books/podcasts for the themes songwriting and low carb / paleo so quite on track I would say :D

Monday...it's only monday and motivation isn't awesome yet...I manage to come by but I'm not nearly as productive as I could and should be...also I still fell really tired and wasted at 7 in the evening (which is to early) I get up at around 7 so 10:30/11:00 would be okay...but not 7 :/.

Also the forum update is annoying me big time because it crashes 2 out  of 3 times when I try to post something...so I will just keep reading the next days but wont post to much and hope that they will get the forum back to being okay :/

My motivation isn't doing so well today either. That's why it's better to depend on habits instead of motivation. I'm still working on getting my habits set up and ingrained but I managed to accomplish a good bit of my stuff today on autopilot. You've got a lot going on right now as you get back into the swing of things so being tired and having low motivation is to be expected. If you're tired you may just need a little extra sleep right now. You're probably mentally and physically tired from starting new things. If you can, get some extra sleep and see if that helps.

It seems like my nagging has been heard...at least NF isn't crashing anymore so regular thread updates again. :)

I was a little overwhelmed by the start of the semester ( I have 2 courses, I project that needs preparation, 3 courses I'm taking because I'd like to get the knowledge (Spanish 1& 2 and SAP/ERP) +my work for the student council (only 2 more month as "chairman" yay) and this week a job as "photographer" for one university-department) so it is probably okay that I didn't got anything done in my challenges...

Also the Final Battle started and I'm a little competitive so I spend 20 minutes longer than I planed today pumping out exercises so that the light side was winning again.

We're having some free time because of eastern next week so I will try to catch up on my goals and prepare the next challenge.

It's good to read that you're plugging away despite not feeling super motivated. :) My daughter and I completed 30 day's of yoga with Adrienne and enjoyed it. I like her perspective and encouragement to try new things within poses. Most instructors are pretty emphatic about perfect placement. It's also nice to have something different to do everyday.

Glad you were able to help our side get ahead. I just plugged in my numbers and figure I'll have another round ready on Friday.

Sometimes finding a routine takes a few months to get into place. You also have the challenge of taming the travel bug. ;)

So I'm going to take a quick resume of the last weeks and that is going back to basics!

I don't like the results of my challenge at all and that's probably because it was just set up bad...I got a lot done in the last two weeks but just not in my challenge fields which just didn't feel right. In the next challenge I will go back to basics and will work on habbits and basics more and also will try a new challenge set-up that I think will fit my needs and style more.

But to the positives of this challenge:

- First and most important over the challenge I found amazingly interesting and supportive people in the guild (jayniana jones, AthenaMM and SnowOwl) that I will try to follow along from now on because it motivates and inspires me AWESOME :)

- Second I found and resolved the mystery of me being lazy and feeling wasted for the last week and even though it did end up harmless it could have gone wrong big time and more frustrating was dangerously stupid (mixed up meds that look exactly alike :/)

- Even though I was eating like an a**hole( copyright by starsapart but I just really like that description because it is so on point) on two days, I managed to improve my overall eating by adding more good stuff and eliminating some bad stuff...also I found out that I need to find a quick and tasty recipe for low-carb pizza to succeed in my low-carb lifestyle because pizza is love!!

- I found out that yoga is awesome

- The assassin challenge was awesome and motivated me (okay not on the last day:/) a lot so yay for the guild :D

- Last positive...it's spring!! And even though I'm fighting with my allergies (booh for allergies) already it's still awesome because I'm very responsive for light. So more bright days and sunlight means more energy, better mods and overall more awesome...

I will prepare my new challenge later today and like the last time post it here so that people can follow along (which I appreciate big times :D)

The support is definitely the best part of this forum. It sounds like you've done a good job of finding out what will work for you and that is a big part of the process. Definitely find a good pizza recipe! I'm not sure how low carb you need it to be, but I make a pizza "quesadilla" when I'm really craving pizza. I know there are low carb tortillas, so that might be an option for you. It's definitely easy!
