A Paleo Newbie

Hi there, Xo here. A close friend recently recommended this paleo diet to me and explained the logic behind it (which I have to say is quite convincing). Today is my first day giving it a go! I have a trip coming up in a few months and am hoping to see the weight drop before takeoff. I wanted to know what everyone elses experience is with it. Has it been successful? How did you feel? Any tips or pro recipes? Everything help!

  1. Batch cooking is your friend.
  2. Nom Nom Paleo's Cracklin' Chicken.  Just do it, and use a splatter screen.

 

I went on a modified paleo (read: I had to cut out other crap that I also reacted to).  This was my list of improvements I noticed:

  1. Down 9 pounds
  2. Stomach not as bloated
  3. Digestive system not constantly cranky
  4. Wrists don't hurt
  5. Shoulders hurt much less
  6. Less constant ringing/itching in my ears
  7. More energy
  8. Muscles aren't aching
  9. Not freezing all the time (just part of the time)
  10. Depression/anxiety is lifting
  11. Cravings seem to be almost gone
  12. More energy
  13. Happier

Unfortunately, I didn't stick to it and am back to square 1, starting over again.
