MAIN QUEST: Lose Weight Feel Great!


To hit my goal range of 125-135 and do it in a healthy way!

Goals (diet and fitness related) that will help me achieve Main Quest:

 

I feel like I just haven't made much progress at all the last 15 challenges. I keep losing and gaining the same 10 pounds lately... Not really sure how to fix this, but I just keep trying! Back story: All through high school I struggled to GAIN weight. I weighed 110 pounds all through high school. I am 5'2", so that's a "healthy" weight, but I really was way too thin and didn't have any muscle. Then I started having babies and started gaining weight. My heaviest was 219. I am at 205 now. I have managed over the years to diet myself down to 165 at the lowest, but it was a very unhealthy diet (around 500 calories a day) and I started losing my hair, so I decided I would rather be fat and have hair than to thin with no hair lol 

 

1. #OneDerland - Get under 200 lbs - This is obviously a pass/fail, and I know a lot of people will say "muscle weighs more than fat blah blah blah" but I weigh 205 lbs and I am 5'2", this is ridiculous! I NEED to lose pounds! Edited to add: I guess I need some plan to get me there, huh? I don't like counting calories all the time because I tend to obsess over it and then I just don't eat, which is unhealthy. (I understand that counting calories works for a lot of people, and my NASM training is going to tell me all about it lol but I just get too obsessed) I also tend to do whatever eating plan my current Beachbody program uses, but this means changing my "diet" every 4-8 weeks, which is also not working for me. So, I think I am going to take a Paleo 2.0 approach with occasional calorie counting, just to make sure I am not eating way more than my body needs. I will be eliminating the following:

Gluten - already gone from my diet

Processed junk

Soy

Sugar

I will eat minimal dairy (already stopped drinking milk, but still eat hard cheese and butter)

No stopping for candy bars and sodas!! Gotta get my shit together! 

 

A: 25-28 days
B: 21-24 days
C: 17-20 days
D: 13-16 days
F: <13 days

Pass = 2 CON, 2 CHA

2. #FitGirl - Workout 6 days a week. This will include 22 Minute Hard Corps, Girls on the Run and CIZE on the weekends. 
A: 22-24 days
B: 19-21 days
C: 15-18 days
D: 12-14 days
F: <12 days
Ability to earn 2 STA, 2 STR, 1 DEX points.

3. #10000Steps - yep, back to that one lol I feel like I will make myself work out more if I HAVE to hit 10,000 steps a day! (6 days a week... Sunday is my rest day!)
A: 22-24 days
B: 19-21 days
C: 15-18 days
D: 12-14 days
F: <12 days
Ability to earn 3 STA points

PICK YOUR SIDE QUESTS
Side Quest 1: #Study - Ok, for reals this time... I have access to my course again, so I need to crack down on this. And I need to give myself a deadline. I need to take my test before teacher's academy starts in June (IF I get into the teaching program!), so I need to take my test by the end of May!

Side Quest 2: #DropInReady - I am changing this, because the crafty stuff is probably not going to happen this challenge... too much other stuff going on. So, this is just do dishes every night before bed and put away laundry!

Hope you share your crafty projects, how do you knit a temperature controlled blanket?

 

Yeah, it's really disheartening to try so hard and not lose the weight! But we can do it!! :)

As for the temperature blanket, it will be crocheted, I am just learning to knit, so I don't think I could handle a blanket! But with the temperature blanket, you crochet or knit a row for every day, and the color is determined by the high temperature that day. It's pretty cool! You can use any stitch you want too, and any temperature range and color set!

That craftsy thing looks awesome!  I totally just sat here jamming out to that song, now it will be stuck in my head!  =)

Awesome set of goals.  I will make sure to invite you to more Goal Day challenges on Fitbit.  I should try to do them more often.  I really wish they would come up with some different goals/challenges on there.

What is Girls on the Run? 

I love that song lol We will definitely do more Fitbit challenges! Girls on the Run is a running/self esteem program for girls grades 3-5. It's a 10-12 week program, 2 days a week that ends with running a 5K! It's awesome! :)

I'm actually glad the challenge doesn't officially start until next week lol This week has been so BUSY! X had academic bowl last night, so we had to grab food out and drive 45 minutes to his match. Monday night we went grocery shopping and then came home to cook... we didn't eat until 8 pm... I am ready for the week to get a little slower now lol I had Girls on the Run yesterday after work before academic bowl too... I was sick most of the day so I probably only got in about a mile of running, if even that.

Oh. My. God. I tried knitting tonight and I wanted to pull my effing hair out. I'd get some stitches on my needle and try to do another row and halfway through the row every time I'd either drop a stitch or every damn stitch would come off my needles!!! Lol X said maybe I should stick to crocheting... Said he could hear me cussing from the bathroom!! I'm going to try again tomorrow!!! I WILL beat this!!!

I've never done crochet but I have knitted before, and I've never understood how some people can do it without LOOKING!!! I prefer sewing, I find it far more satisfying :) I do love the blanket idea though... Maybe I can sew a quilt using strips of fabric... hmmmmmmmm

I can crochet without paying too much attention to what I'm doing after the first row, but I've been doing it for several years. I've tried knitting in the past but failed miserably. Decided to give it another go, but man it's hard! Lol I'll keep trying a bit each night until I get the hang of it... But I'm in a knit-a-long, so I need to get at least the basics down this week to complete this week's part of the shawl I'm supposed to be knitting!

Haha I know!!! I don't really know what I did last night except cook dinner (which was success for me since I really wanted to go out and get hot wings instead lol) and watched the last episode of The Following... finally!! Then X asked if we could watch Fight Club since he had never seen it... um duh, of course we can! lol Then we went to bed super early!

So, today I got an email about Selection Day, and found out 1 week before the day that the dress code is business professional... not business casual. I had already bought an outfit that isn't going to work now, so I had to go buy a damn suit. ARG!!! At least is was only $53 at JC Penney, but still... I had already spent money on an outfit! Pisses me off that they waited so long to tell us that. Oh well... 

 

Did my measurements today and took pictures for the Summer Strong challenge for 22 Minute Hard Corps, which I am starting over on Monday! Can't wait to see my results! 

 

I have had waaaaaayyyyy too much sugar this week. I just need to completely cut out candy and other sweets again, which is what I am doing starting NOW! I was going to say starting Monday, but fuck that! I am starting NOW!! No time like the present to get my act together!!

 

I have Fit Club in the morning, then I need to clean my kitchen and living room, and I guess probably the bathrooms too, study, crochet and knit. I have to go get my hair cut, decide if I am getting my nails done for this interview thing and get groceries tomorrow night. Fun times.

Mother effer.... the progress bar not working is driving me insane. I know it shouldn't be, but it is. I just want it to work like it used to and I want to be able to update it... I had to take out all my challenge specific trackers from my signature since it was the end of the challenge, and I couldn't change them to reflect the new challenge, ie. zero them out. Color me frustrated.

Did CIZE at Fit Club today. I think I am moving Fit Club to my basement starting next week. I won't have to move a bunch of tables and chairs out of the way and back, and I won't have to deal with other people's technical difficulties! LOL I have to do a lot of cleaning today. I have already cleaned my entire living room... it was just super cluttered. I need to do the kitchen next. I think after the kitchen I can have the rest of the day to do what I want to do, which will probably be knitting or crocheting. Or both. Oh, I have to print out my resumes and other stuff for Selection Day as well.

Need to finish cleaning today. Want a sure fire way to clean your house? Invite your mother-in-law to dinner! LOL I invited her to dinner tomorrow night, so I HAVE to clean today, after church. Still need to print all my selection day stuff. Have to get it all ready in my bag for Friday. Ugh, I am so stressed about this!! Here is what I bought to wear, since the dress code went from business casual (MY own assumption, since we are trying to be teachers, NOT business-people) to business PROFESSIONAL.

 

(Ignore my scowl! lol... and the pants aren't dirty, the mirror is... which makes me wonder why the mirror is so dirty. I don't think I want to know!)

These are the shoes i bought last night. I cannot wear regular heels... I am too clumsy to walk properly in them! lol So I thought these would work!

So, I am starting tomorrow. I don't really like a Sunday start. Especially since I have things I have to do on Sundays that take up a lot of my day! I ended up with a migraine this afternoon and laid down for "about an hour" which ended up being about 3 hours! UGH!! Got up and made dinner and cleaned up some. Will have to finish cleaning the house after work tomorrow. I am still doing laundry tonight though. 

 

I guess I will post my stupid before photos for the Summer Strong 22 Minute Hard Corps challenge... not happy with these, but then am I ever!?? (And yes, I am wearing boxers... don't judge me with your judgy eyes! LOL They are comfy and my husband bought a big pack of them and hated the way they fit so I took them!!)
