Quest 0 - Hoard of the Dragon Queen

I've been letting work get in the way of my workouts ... I'm frozen! (see how I made that work?)

 

before week 1 I'm going to do at least 2 runs and a kettle bell workout! 

 

Quest 1 - The Rise of Tiamat

Stretching! 

 

Everyday I'm going to do 10 minutes of stretching! 

 

A: 28 Days of stretching! (Wis +3)

B: 20-27 Days of stretching! (Wis +2)
F: <19 Days of stretching!

 

Quest 2 - Princes of the Apocalypse

Movement and mobility!

 

6 days a week I'm going to do some running/jogging.

 

This could be long distance running + sprinting + hill work etc.

 

A: 24 Days! (Dex +2, Con +2)

B: 23-20 Days! (Dex+1 Con +1)
F: <19 Days!


Quest 3 - Out of the Abyss

Tuesday+Thursday Kettlebell beast mode!

 

A: 8 Days of Kettlebells (Str+3, Sta+2)

B: 4-7 Days of Kettlebells (Str+2, Sta +2)

I've been letting myself mope about and not be as social or out going as I should.

Plus my photography has suffered from lack of doing it.

Went for a walk this morning just to get back into doing SOMETHING aside from going to work ... it was lovely!

Did a 5K this morning with a friend who's doing a the Charleston Bridge 10K this weekend - nothing intense as he was just trying to keep his legs loose.

Kettlebells kicked my butt (literally) today .... workout was supposed to be 20sets of 10 goblet squats and 10 swings .... I managed 8 sets as my 50lb KB started to cause my hamstrings and glutes to twitch and that's NOT good. 

 

Guess I should've gone with the 40lb'er.

2018 Goals:

- Weigh 128 by May 31st 2018.

- Camp at one National Park by October 2018 (2016 - Yellowstone, 2017 - Shenandoah)

      I have a life goal to visit/hike/camp as many National Parks as possible. As a retiree, I am going to work at a National Park.

- Pay off Credit Cards by November 30th 2018.

- Save $15,000 by December 31st 2018.

Quest 0 - Hoard of the Dragon Queen

Didn't get in a run on Saturday as my legs were KILLING me after my 80 goblet squats with that 50lb KB ... bad life choice for sure ...

 

I did get a solid walk in so I'm going to go with it!

 

Quest 1 - The Rise of Tiamat

Solid stretching at camp this morning and will be taking time tonight to do some foam rolling too.

Quest 2 - Princes of the Apocalypse

Ran a mile before camp then did 2 miles at camp so a total of 3 miles run today!
Quest 3 - Out of the Abyss

Trying to figure tomorrow's workout - any suggestions? Thinking 2 mile run then 

Quest 4 - Curse of Strahd

I've GOT to get  out of my own and get things done. Am having dinner with an old friend tomorrow, planning to do some photography (either shooting or editing) tonight while the wife is off hanging out with a friend of her's... so yeah good stuff!

Stretching after my workout and before bed!

Quest 2 - Princes of the Apocalypse

A SLOW 2 miles before kettle bells - legs still hurting from last week
Quest 3 - Out of the Abyss

20 swings then farmer carries with my entire set of kettle bells (5-60lbs!)  

Quest 4 - Curse of Strahd

Hung out with my friend Patrick for the first time in 4 months - he let me drive his i3, we talked about life as friends do, and it was good!
