I know people who are here who have their PhD in another field, who are 10 years older than me, who came over with families. If it's what you want, I am confident you can work through the circumstances. At least for me, it has been worth it 100%...and I was scared shitless before I left. It's never too late to fulfill a dream, yeah? My Japanese is still actually pretty awful though, Lol. As for my name, I am not completely sure. It's a name I chose way back when in middle school, and I was looking at Arabic names at the time so I would imagine it is at least related.
