Workout 1/6.  Even though I was sore as all get out from Saturday and Sunday working outside I got my Def butt workout in.

 

Account.  1/7. Didn't log Sunday.  Did yesterday but not a great day.  1932 cal and 135 carbs.  I was hungry all day.  The two handfuls of Brachs double dipped chocolate covered peanuts did not help.  Sweet and salty.  

 

Reach. Happy with the 7767 steps yesterday.  It was more than last Monday.  50/300 push ups done.  

 

Rained all afternoon yesterday but should have a break today before rains again Wednesday and Thursday.  Going to get some work done outside today.  I am headed to my parents this weekend ( hubby too) for her 70th birthday party.  I am doing all the food for about 15 people who are coming to the house on Saturday.  Brisket, ribs and chicken in the smoker.  Smoked Mac and cheese, baked beans and then setting out cheese and crackers plus veggie tray to snack on before dinner.  My sister in law doing a cold pasta salad that has broccoli in it so my mother thinks veggies are covered.  I am going to do some brussel sprouts with bacon too so I can have something else for me.  She didn't think we needed snacks either but I insisted mainly because running the smoker all day I will want to nibble and,this is a good option.  That is why I like the control of doing the menu.  I won't deprive anyone of what they request ( baked beans ....yuck). but I can also add what will work for me( more veggies).  

 

Three things to get done today.  Finish herb container garden on deck.  Some seeds planted in big garden.  Start business plan/timeline for Internet business.

Here is a quick question. Anyone remember the name of the female lead ( not the child) and who wrote this story is why the name makes sense.

I briefly mentioned it. I had my own business distributing an energy drink for 3 years. I bought in whole sale then distributed to bars, gas stations and grocery stores in central iowa. I didn't protect myself with a contract so the makers of the product decided to contract with a large beer distributer to do it to get into more places. I have been looking for something else to do at home. I don't need to make a ton of money but the tax write offs help and setting my own hours helps with having the kids in summer/holidays. My degree is in biology, chemistry and physics, but I ended up in retail ( the company you know as Carson Pirie Scott) in management. Did that for 16 years working my way up the ladder. Then backed off to retail management of a small store ( David's Bridal) but went to my own business because retail hours are so difficult with a family. Probably more info than everyone wanted. Looking at doing a website with tutorial videos on cooking and gardening and maybe selling my spice mixes too.

 Can we have the recipe? Or did I miss it?

It is a mix from my grocery store.  One package is 720 calories and is supposed to make 1 crust.  I prefer my crust super thin and I get two crusts from it.  I also don't put pizza sauce on my pizza.  I pre bake the thin crust, a little EVOO, smig of grated parm then toppings.

I was a bad bad girl yesterday.  Didn't log in MFP.  Didn't eat badly but I have no idea what my calories were.  Here was dinner.  Ham steak on the grill and brussel sprouts, yellow squash and tomatoes stir fried in a little bacon grease.  A little rice on the side too.

 Didn't get the 30 minutes of exercise in.  Only did 25 push-ups and only 5880 steps.

 

 I did however get a lot done in the garden.  Planted sweet corn, beets, green beans, part of the snap peas, green onions, and flowers.  The flower seeds I found when I decided to get all my garden stuff together ( thanks Konmari).  They are older seeds so we will see what happens.  Some nasturtiums, sunflowers and four o'clocks.  Also got the rest of the containers brought up on the deck for my herb garden.  Got two Rosemary plants in plus sowed seeds for basil, cilantro, parsley, and marjoram.  It is supposed to rain all day today and some tomorrow.  If I didn't get them in it would have been next week before I do.  This weekend is supposed to be beautiful but we are headed 5 hours south east to my parents for Mom's birthday.

    Today getting general housekeeping done and working on " papers" catagory on Konmari project. Doing some business research and typing up some notes for the revision of the custody agreement for the lawyer.  Also need to finalize the grocery list for Mom's party.  Need to try to work in some extra steps ( today's projects are a lot of sitting projects) and some extra push ups to make up for yesterday.

Workout.  30 minutes of circuit training ( body weights and universal).

 

Account.  1423 calories and 65 carbs.  Hubby's work had a catered in lunch. The caterer brought too much food so he got to bring some home.  Only problem is that the food was not the best choice.  Chicken tenders ( I have 2 one gallon zip locks in freezer.) and BBQ meatballs ( 1 and 1/2 one gallon bags) and buffalo chicken nuggets ( 3qt bags).  I used chicken to cut up in a salad and was pretty good.  They are not overly breaded so they are okay.  Meatballs I rinsed off the BBQ sauce and will use in spaghetti sparingly.  Can't knock free food.  

 

Reach.  Only 5874 steps.  Had to charge Fitbit and was going thru papers yesterday so sit down job.  Did get 75 more push ups so I am at 150/300.

 

It is rainy again here today.  Inside stuff and more KonMari.  I have come up with a lot more catagories than she did and it is working well.  I am also doing some room by room even though not recommended but has worked so far.  Grocery shopping for weekend party today along with gathering all supplies to take to parents for the smoke fest.  Want to get everything in order so I can spend tomorrow morning outside if it's nice.

Phew... Just read through all 9 pages of your thread T2SC... Sounds like you're nailing most of your goals, and the food porn has made me hungry! Just as well its nearly lunch time :)

 

I've been trying to work out ways to make money at home (I already work from home, but my hours are WAAAYYYY down, so need to supplement it, or get a day job :P) and don't seem to be getting very far! Hope you have better luck than me! (I know it's not really luck, its determination and practice, like with most things in life...)

Plenty of time.  It has been unseasonably warm here so I am about 2 weeks ahead of schedule.  Don't you still have snow on the ground? Lol.

Packing up and taking off for parents house today.  This has been a challenging week to say the least.  Diet and exercise have been hit and miss but I will have a nice reset this weekend.  I am doing all the cooking which I love to do and I tend to eat less when I do the cooking.  My parents have been watching what they eat and doing some walking and,have both lost some weight so shouldn't be any issues for me to be too tempted.  I am bring the stuff for making a veg tray for Saturday so I can make early and nibble on that in the afternoon while smoking the meat.  Expect food porn because I am smoking a brisket, baby back ribs, chicken thighs and a few breasts, homemade smoked Mac and cheese, grilling asparagus and making baked beans.  Also having pasta salad.  I don't like baked beans or pasta salad so that is safe and I make the Mac and cheese with gluten free noodles so I can feel a little less guilty.  

  Goal is to get research done on small business while traveling, get walks in today and tomorrow, 30 minutes on my dad's stationary bike tomorrow and a DBW in ( DBW is short for Deftona's Butt Workout).  I will still track my calories the best I can and watch my beer intake while cooking Saturday. ( yeah that's going to happen).  I think I have a good plan in place which is half the battle.  We are coming home Sunday as early as we can to get some outside work done since it is supposed to be nice.

Back from parents and working outside now. I completely spaced on taking the pictures of the wonderful smoked food I made this weekend. We had a great weekend with parents. I did well on the food front but not much exercise. More later but next week is " way of pain " week. I want to really turn it up on exercise. Who is with me?
