Atrytone Unleashes the Power of Persona

Recommended Posts

I love this game (as well as Persona 4) and I thought it might make for an interesting challenge theme. The goal this cycle is really on self-improvement across the board so I’ll be focusing on the attribute portion of the game and grinding. I’ve come up with a number of activities I can do to raise my attribute points throughout the challenge (more may be added with time) and my personal goal is to reach at least the 4th tier of each attribute. I won’t be listing the individual reasons why I chose each activity because it will consume a lot of space but if anyone is interested in clarification I’m happy to share.

As for grinding, the monsters in the game are all associated with a tarot major arcana card. I assigned an exercise or activity to every card of the major arcana and will draw them weekly to determine what activities I will undertake during that week. I will attempt to do an activity or exercise from this deck every other day but I may settle for three times per week. This will shake things up and give me more of a variety overall than what I’m used to.

On April 30th, around 6 am, I’ll take my measurements and photos to compare to last cycles final measurements. If anyone hasn’t played this game already (Persona 3, Persona 3: FES, or Persona 3 Portable) I highly recommend it. It’s really fun.

Haha, or it's going to kill me. :P But yeah. I figured a game was probably an easy set up for a themed challenge and I wanted to try at least one.

What an awesome setup! I'm not familiar with the game but it sounds cool, and I love the variety you have with it. (Totally stealing a couple of those workouts - that's a great site). Following!

Yeah, I was in the mood for options. I couldn't really include Social Links which are the best part of the game imo but this works for me and I'm happy with it. Darebee.com is an awesome site. Thank you for following. :)

At least it's a good way to go out :) This particular format does have a nice flow as far as matching up with the theme you picked; well done on organizing it!

For Week One I will only be drawing two tarot cards as I still have classes and thus easy gym access. As of Week Two though I'll be drawing 3-4 cards weekly. Week One's cards are: The High Priestess and The Hierophant. They will be included in next weeks grind and have been reinserted into the deck. (This means, of course, that I may end up with the same grinds each week. Such is the nature of dungeon crawling though.)

For some reason I had it in my head that the challenge started on Monday. I had to make a quick change to my spread sheets but I think I have everything sorted now.

Following along to watch you kick some butt! Thanks for (gently) kicking mine already.

I thought the challenge started on Monday too! Perhaps we'll be a day ahead in our achievements... Or perhaps we have one more day to laze about with no responsibilities...

Thanks! I appreciate the support. I've started but I'm still in the process of trying to figure out how exactly my challenge is going to go. I expect some hiccups this first week.

Got my meditation done today. The weather wasn't terrible so instead of sitting inside in absolute silence trying to keep my mind clear for 30 minutes I went outside with some music and worked on weeding the garden. (Dad's talking about getting a bunch of tomato plants this year and I'm thinking about getting more herbs myself). It was probably more relaxing and very in-the-moment-esque. I think that definitely counts for my first grind.

Hey, I'm late to the party but I'm here, and I brought bubbly pink Moscato to celebrate. Yay!

I'm not sure exactly. I have parsley, oregano, chives, green onions, thyme, rosemary, and sage currently. I had basil two years back, maybe I'll get that again? I was actually considering mint as well. That, or something citrus-y. There are herbs out there that taste like lemon and I really love citrus flavors. What do you use lavender for/with? I can't say as I've ever cooked with it.

First, let me take a quick moment to, "Pars-ley saaaaaage, rose-ma-ree and thyyyyyyyyyme, rememmmmmmber meeee to onnnne wholives the-ereee, sheeee once waaaas-" sorry. Ahem. <.<

As far as fresh lavender? I don't actually know, myself. My mom recently got dragged into Essential Oil Mania (through Young Living) and they all have plenty of uses that might translate well. Lavender has proven pretty good for earache; I'd have to look at the article again to get the specifics of why it's good. It's also relaxing to breathe it in, so long as it's not too strong.

*while reading about the fresh sort of lavender* okay, apparently it can be made into a tea with chamomile and honey, which actually does sound quite nice, with peppermint it's good for headache, good for sunburn, it can go in soaps.

But if you're looking more for herbs to cook with, dill is nice. Basil and mint are also good. (Especially mint, though)

Fabulous that you have an herb garden, by the way. Those are useful, ranger-y, and just plain cool.

I've had lavender infused teas which were lovely. I agree with the mint pot-warning, left alone it turns to mintpocalypse
