Meushell - The Orc is Back

Introduction: 

 

Michaela (my character) and I took a quest break. Well, at least I did. LOL. I will have to come up with what she has been up to. Since, I recently got over a cold, I'll incorporate that into her story. Poor gal. Heroes aren't supposed to get sick. :-)

 

Anyway, I've been struggling with weight my whole life. I have restarted a diet more times than I can count. I'm sure many of you can relate to that. I had another official restart a few weeks ago, and while I've had a few…off days…it's been going pretty well. About a month ago, I started a regular routine for my mini trampoline. (I guess it is officially called a rebounder, but I'm not sure why a mini trampoline needs a special name.) I had to take a break when getting the cold, but I have been able to start again.

 

I am a fan of Zombies, Run. I was in the middle of season two, then checked out the race stories and the 5K training app. Being at three different points in the story was getting too strange and confusing, so I just started everything over. I'm restarted the training app on my trampoline, and when that is done I will start over with the original app.

 

Main Quest: The Adventure Continues

Michaela, along with three others, Cron, Arle, and Cyrus, have been sent out on separate paths to discover the truth about dark rumors. Unfortunately, Michaela became ill in her travels. She rested in the city of Three Land Crossings. Now she shall continue her journey.

(Losing weight is my adventure. No XP here. Whatever comes off will come off.)

Quest 1: Becoming a Warrior

Michaela needs to hone her fighting skills.

(Strength training 3 days a week. Unbeknown to Michaela, but she will be attacked at the end of the four weeks.

 

A = 12+ days total. Michaela can defend herself.
B = 10. Michaela barely escapes an attack and needs to recover afterwards.
C = 8. Michaela is injured I need to go into hiding she recovers from injury.
D = 6. Michaela is captured, but she may escape shortly after.
F = 4. Michaela is captured and taken to a dungeon.)

 

Quest 2: Toes are Just so Far Away

Orc's aren't well known for their flexibility, but Michaela should still stretch.

 

(Stretching 12 times throughout the challenge, which averages 3X per week. A max of one stretch session counts per day.

 

A = 12. Everything is great for Michaela.
B = 10. Tightness in her legs.
C = 8. Cramps in her legs...
D = 7. ...and arms...
F = 6. ...and now has trouble sleeping.)

 

Quest 3: Tracking

Michaela must keep use her homing drake to keep in contact with her village.

(I will track my calories 6X per week. Tracking only counts if I stay under my goal.

 

A = 24 total. Michaela keeps informed, and her drake learns the area.
B = 21. Michaela feels homesick.
C = 18. Homesick and her drake takes a while to get where he or she (I still haven't decided the gender yet) is going.
D = 15. Her drake gets mad at her.
F = 12. Her drake gets completely lost and never returns.)

 

Level Life Quest: Health and Hygiene

For health and a great scent, Michaela needs to learn how to keep clean in the wilderness. 

 

(Want to floss every day, but going to allow for some "whoops, forgot" days.

A = 24 total. She smells great!
B = 21. She smells good, but it's nothing special.
C = 18. She's not helping with that "Orcs stink" reputation.
D = 15. People avoid her.
F = 12. Is that...fungus?

 

I found I don't like partial weeks in this challenge, so I wrote the challenges with April 3 to 30 in mind. It is just adding one day. 

 

Most of this challenge is just basically a copy and paste of my previous one. I sort of finished it, but did not update on it. I guess this is sort of a redo.)

 

Real Motivation: To be healthier and stronger. Doing a mud run (well, for me, a mud walk as too much running hurts my hips and knees) next week. I have not trained my upper body enough, and while my goal was to weigh less by the mud walk, I'm still basically where I have been all year. I'm going to enjoy myself, recover, then get started on better training for the next one. I have no idea when the next one will be, but I am assuming there will be one.
