Let's do this thing. My main quest is literally just to FINISH THIS DAMN SHOW AND EMERGE UNINJURED. That is it. That is all. I will be working towards this by attending open gyms and private lessons, doing runs of the routine at every opportunity, and trying not to die. This is pretty much the center of my world for the next month BUT I have a couple of supporting backup quests to go along with it, partially because I have a week of travel coming up this week and I won't be able to get in the air. But that's okay - I've got a plan! SUPPORTING QUESTS: don't eat like an asshole, redux (+2 CON) Remember, stars, you don't like assholes. So don't eat like one. At least 22 days of not eating like an asshole, please. 6 days of leeway because vacation. flexibility every damn day (+2 DEX) It's not cool but it's necessary. Even if it's 5 minutes or less of back stretches, it doesn't matter. DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING. life quest: party support (+1 WIS) stillskies has asked me to take the reins of her eating, but I'm kind of lax about this sometimes because it takes A LOT of work to balance two people's macros. But she needs my help and I need to offer it. Video: SUPPORTING QUESTS: don't eat like an asshole, redux: 82% (+1.5 CON) Vacation screwed me but I pulled out a B somehow. Getting better at this not eating like an asshole thing... bit by bit. flexibility every damn day: 79% (+1.5 DEX) Rest days killed me, oops. I always forgot to stretch on rest days and then I just... gave up. I need a better way to make this a habit. life quest: party support: 95% (+1 WIS) Definitely better at this than I was! Getting into the groove of planning stillskies' meals and pre-cooking and packing lunches for both of us. Everybody wins! Overall by FAR not my strongest challenge. HOWEVER, the main point of it - which was my aerial routine - was a success. Therefore time to learn from my mistakes, celebrate my successes, and move on. starsapart Posted April 4, 2016 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2016 Can't figure out if the challenge started today or is starting tomorrow so.... seizing the moment and going with it so I have 4 full weeks. Got the party started today after work with gym PR and many chores. Today's lifts: Squat: 5x5x95 Bench: 3x3x85, 2x2x90, 1x1x95 (PR!) Deadlift: 1x5x135, 2x5x170, 1x3x170 Back extensions: 5x5x20lb medicine ball Forearm stands and stretches No trace of that phantom pain from yesterday, thank god. Squats were tough though. Still, got my little bit of flexiness done, go me! Also, did not eat like an asshole, arguably, though I did hit a surplus. Damn hungry after those improved squats and deadlifts so I think it mostly balances out. Bless stillskies, she went grocery shopping while I sorted and started on laundry. I got it ALL done in one day, also all the dishes, kitchen and bedroom tidying as well, and I cooked stillskies' lunch for tomorrow, so her meal plan is half done. Just need to figure out dinner and then toss together some fruit and a cheese stick for snacks/breakfast. Got a lunch of sorts packed for myself, too - frozen food, on purpose. I have a lunch scheduled with a coworker tomorrow, but she cancels at the last minute kind of frequently. I figure I can toss my lunch in the freezer at work. if she cancels, I'll eat it. If she doesn't cancel, it will keep until Tuesday afternoon. My mornings go much more smoothly when I do this. Of course, most of my days are sweater + dress pants which means not much choosing, but if I'm not careful, I wind up on Thursday with the only thing left to wear being a black pants and a black sweater. This sort of thing: Still feels like jammies. i.e. feels like I'm winning one against the dress code... Did some back stretches this evening, now am doing heating pad because I am QUITE tight recently, urgh. Did not eat like an asshole. Made eggroll in a bowl, in fact! Also made a huge mess of the kitchen, but that has since been rectified. So my kitchen is clean and I have leftovers. What could be better? Tomorrow's meal plan for stillskies is tentatively done, just need to put lunch and snacks together in the morning. For me, no breakfast, yuck. I have my biometric screening at 9:15, so I must fast. Booooooo. Yet another coworker lunch scheduled BUT this one should actually happen because of who scheduled it, so... we'll see if I take a leap of faith or bring a lunch. Biometric screening in 15 minutes so soooooooooooooon, food!!!!!! Late breakfast followed by Indian food (hopefully). I will be good and avoid the samosas unless someone wants to split the order. Second day of pre-picking outfits, already got two compliments this morning. This thing is going well. You know what isn't going well? Getting to bed on time. it seems like writing and getting enough sleep don't coexist in my world.
