That being the case, assuming everybody else remembered, your punishment will be feeling out of place for the day.

 

In my case, the punishment was somebody waiting for me to leave my office, then leaving a photocopy of a page of the Employee Manual with the rule I violated highlighted.  Hmm.  Interesting.  I never read the Employee Manual.  CBF. :P

To be a little more fair, back in my WoW days......

 

Epic level battle armor just looks a lot more impressive than lower level armor and trash armor.  So one would expect the character to perform better.  Most likely this is correct.  On the other hand you might find out the character is really being played by the player's kid brother or the player got there by getting pulled through by guildies.

 

Meanwhile I have no idea why I prefer to wear designer jeans when Dockers are so much cheaper and I never know when I am going to get them covered in transformer oil (which is so many times worse than gasoline) and black grease and sawdust.

I needed a laugh, thank you. It is so confusing, I don't know who needs to change attire? It's more important for people meeting the clients? No idea. I guess I'm grateful to even be able to wear jeans at all, but it does seem to be the bizarrest caveat, doesn't it?

Not much to say here. It's been a rough week. By the end of Friday I was just Done and went straight to sleep, didn't even eat dinner. Most of my stress was from something I don't care to talk about, but suffice it to say it compounded the pressure to drive across town to pick up the last minute baby shower gift I bought online (I let this sneak up on me completely, my fault...) and get back to work in time to finish a task that needed to be done by end of day. Then it was off to get groceries and in general, by the time I'm home with those, I'm gassed. I did well in the gym both days, scoring a PR on Friday and doing halting deadlifts for the very first time. I have some learning to do there. Given that I skipped a meal on Friday, Saturday didn't suffer too much. 

 

Iced on Saturday in the process of laying around and that's about all. I did buy some straight-up unflavored creatine (as in, just creatine monohydrate at 5g per serving) and some water flavoring at Publix and felt extremely clever. #chooseyourownflavor

 

I hope next week will manage to buck the trend set by this week...I can has routine back plz?

Baby shower happened. Iced. Worked on bokken suburi and kata. Did all the chores. Husband came home really, really late so....bombed curfew by an hour. That was fun. Lost an hour of sleep. (Not paying for it at all as I type this...)

 

I've had a lot more head related pain this week than I like. Three days plus Sunday night. I feel better when I ice, but it's very temporary. Here's hoping this week is better than the last, though in all honesty that isn't asking for much.

On the plus side, I think I've figured what last week was about....Shark Week is here. My hormones are borked. Yay. 

 

Also, raise your hand if you love being given bad files that will never produce the result you want but are 7000+ records long and the money field is buried in hex, so good luck fnding out on your own. The guy who attached the bogus batch to the issue I'm allegedly supposed to test is also out most of this week so some other poor joker is having to help me out. GREAT START TO THE WEEK. YAY.

I am working on a spreadsheet that contains hundreds of automatically generated plots that has been modified in certain places over time by different people. Certain people decided they needed to add a column somewhere and then used the shifted columns to make more charts. This affects about half of the charts but not the others. So now that I have to overhaul the tool, my only option is to shift the data for all the charts over by one column or rewrite a bunch of complex VB code that would handle the issue in the automation portion. I'm gonna find everyone before me that made changes to this tool and give them a stern talking to.

You know you have successfully completed an upper body workout when your lower body is wobbly. I was surprised about the lightheadedness and how taxed I felt, but between the less sleep, the unrelenting increase in weight, and what I figured out later that morning, it's not nearly so surprising now. That and the work Fun were the biggest stressors. I came straight home after work, felt bad about doing so, but dang did that hot chocolate taste good. Did nothing else useful aside from dump some things into the pressure cooker and turn it on.

Not everything...only half of the plots. If I run it normally, then the first half is correct and second plots are off by one column. If I adjust the sheet for the added column, it breaks the first half of plots but fixes the second half. I was a little late getting started in the gym, but it didn't affect me getting to work on time and I still got all my rows in. I was worried about getting more passive aggressive nonsense, but that didn't materialize too seriously. Overall an okay day.
