SnowOwl
(Edit: Adjusted goals to be more realistic based on zero week.) Quest 1: Fitness Continuing with C25k (The Rebel Run is coming!) and working towards pull-ups (2 days/week) Mondays and Fridays. Bonus points for yoga sessions! Quest 2: Food I’ve not been doing so well with food lately and need to get back on track. I will prepare healthy dinners daily. I will prep ahead meals at least once a week. I will track food once a week. If calories and protein are low I will adjust eating and meal plan and track again. Quest 3: Making Time I have a lot going on this summer and I need more time in my day. So, I’m going to reduce my online time and speed up my daily housecleaning chores to help open up some time for sewing and house projects. Top speed: I will focus on housecleaning for one hour each day - no distractions or sidetracks, just quickly do a basic clean and move on. Get started right away: I will start my day as soon as I wake up - either with cleaning, gardening, or running. Get off the internet!: Internet use is limited to 30 minutes after lunch (because I’m really tired and unproductive then anyway) and unlimited after dinner if I did some sewing during the day and cleaned up after dinner. Quest 4: Elfhaven I’m trying to incorporate projects from my epic quest list into each challenge. My focus this time will be on finishing my home (Elfhaven). I will work on a high-priority project for 6 hours each week. (loft ladder, a/c, curtains, countertops, battery box, chicken coop, garbage/recycling container) *Since I am vending Saturdays, they will be a day off from all quests. 6 Quote Race: Elf ~ Class: Druid Apprentice ~ Level: 12 Current Challenge 2015-2016 Challenges: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve 2018-2019 Challenges: (first one in progress) Link to comment

SaltyDragon
Just checking in to wish you luck and much success this challenge. Love the pic! I also really like how you've made internet time a "reward" for your productivity during the day. That sounds hard (or maybe very motivating) to me! 2 Quote Level 11 Sea Dragon | Current Challenge: | | Nov '16 | Sept/Oct '16 | Aug/Sep '16 | July/Aug '16 | June/July '16 | May '16 | | Apr '16 | Mar '16 | Feb '16 | Jan '16 | Nov/Dec '15 | Link to comment

SnowOwl
Tuesday Lots of notes and evaluating under spoiler. Spoiler Today I remembered/realized why I got into the habit of getting online first thing in the morning. It’s because I can’t clean while my husband is getting ready for work - he needs in every room in the morning and I just end up bouncing around the house doing nothing. He really needs to get ready for work, so I need to get out of the way. My new plan, weather dependent, is to get outside in the morning. So, if it isn’t a running day, I will head to the garden to weed or water. Another issue that has come to my attention is that it’s a manual labor time of year. I can not run and work on pull-ups and rake and dig and build and plant all on the same day. So, I need to adjust (decrease) my workouts so that I have the physical capability to get things done that need to get done. I was so sore today and I had to spend an hour at the community garden raking and another hour planting. I came home and was not able to get any of my project work done. Tomorrow I had scheduled running, rows, 3 hours of project and garden work, and a challenging yoga class in the evening and then my “rest” day was another big garden work day. Not smart, I’m exhausted and it’s only Tuesday. So, making some changes. Last thought from today - I have energy shifts a lot. I’ll be the energizer bunny for a couple of days and then I crash and am exhausted for a few days. I need to make sure I’m allowing flexibility in my challenge for my shifts while still getting some basics done everyday regardless of moods and energy levels. If I’m energetic I can get extra done and if I’m tired I can rest a bit. I’m glad I started early, so I can make adjustments this week and still get in a full 4 week challenge! Mini: - Quest 1: Fitness New plan to try: running still MWF, but negatives on M only and something a bit less intense on F - rows probably. C25k - rest day (1/3 runs complete) Arms - rest day (1/2 days complete) Yoga - I’m planning on doing this before bed tonight. (1) EDIT: I did it! Quest 2: Food I will prepare healthy dinners daily. Yes - 2/6 I will prep ahead meals at least once a week. No - 0/1 (I did bake bread today!) Quest 3: Making Time Top speed: Yes - 2/6 Get started right away: Yes - 2/6 Get off the internet! Yes - 2/6 (I did go online just before lunch, but it was required for my bulk foods order that was due today. I didn’t venture off the order site and got off the computer as soon as I finished my order.) Quest 4: Elfhaven No - 0/6 I made a serious attempt to go out and finish the new potato bed so I could get those planted tomorrow, but ran into an issue and called it a day. (Turns out to be a helpful snake, but it really, really scared me when it slithered out suddenly - we have rattlesnakes around here and I tend to be the one who finds them.) 7 Quote Race: Elf ~ Class: Druid Apprentice ~ Level: 12 Current Challenge 2015-2016 Challenges: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve 2018-2019 Challenges: (first one in progress) Link to comment
