Mr_Willes
"I'm Coming For Ya, BEAST!" QUEST 1 Maintain deficit: This KCAL range is proving to be a struggle, so i'm gonna keep it here and hopefully find somebody who will do a form of PvP with me for the added accountability. My weight is stabilizing while i think i need to lower it and lose some extra BF. For added accountability i'm gonna do a written report of what i ate the day(s) before. ***** QUEST 2 Keep up protein: Of course i will try to do my best to keep as much muscle as possible. I'm still doing lots of stuff to enhance my body and it needs the right kind of fuel, so protein is gonna be a big part of my diet. ***** QUEST 3 Minimize beer input: I thought about removing this quest since i'm doing quite nice, except, seasons are changing. And well, next two seasons it's gonna be: "'Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la la la la la. Fill the meadcup, drain the barrel," So just to keep grinding-in this habit i'm gonna stick with it at least for the upcoming challenge(s). And this grinding definitely needs work, as weather is turning up and the occasions i would normally indulge on beer are lining up! Though i will have my occasional reward because it's just too damn good! ***** QUEST 4 MIndfully choose a meal: Just to keep as clean as possible i'm forcing myself to think (in advance) about every meal i eat. Easier to keep in line with the KCAL and better to fuel my body with the "best" option available. I'm gonna update it with a plan a (couple of) day(s) ahead, to keep up with the good eating and according KCAL deficit. ***** QUEST 5 Act like a MadCow: Lifting, it's my main thing at this moment, i love doing it, it's good for me, so i'm not planning on not doing it. It's here to stay in the foreseeable future. Maybe i'm gonna put a little more emphasize on doing more number of reps NEXT TO the heavy reps i'm doing now (just add some sort of cooldown sets after every workset, pyramid style workouts. If somebody has some ideas, please shoot! ***** QUEST 6 Find my Inner-Ape: I will be focusing on upperbody-bodyweight-exercises. Probably a lot of chin ups (no pull ups yet because of sore tendon on the outside of my elbow). Pushups and burpees will also be part of the program. (I'm slowly dreaming about doing the 300 workout). Next to this i'm focussing on deadhanging, but i'm gonna throw around the workout a little because it was getting a grind and i wasn't looking forward to it anymore. ***** QUEST 7 Stamina: Running is totally back in the game. After the run i did at work i just feel rejuvenated. If schedule allows i will be aiming for 2 runs a week, next to one workout at the gym. The workout at the gym really shakes up my workouts with stuff i normally don't train. ***** QUEST 8 Accountability: I need all of you beautiful people to keep me in line. I'm growing discipline by the day but it's a slow process. Every extra nudge is very welcome. This is the main reason for the existence of this thread, my sheet and all other aids i use. This quest is about the M in sMart, and the (first) S in kiSs (i've already got the the second S covered ). The Final Chapter 9 Quote ... a little odd in the head ... Link to comment

skinNbones
If you want burpees, do the Juarez Valley ladder. 20 , then 5 steps, 19, then 5 steps ... I've been trying to do it on and off since my prison break challenge and can't really say I've ever managed it. It kills me. I won't be doing burpees though this challenge as they would mess up my recovery time , as I'm following a more prescribed program. Tom: Well... the television said that's the right thing to do. That's 210 Burpees! That's, like, not a few, like, much... even. Maybe better to start at 15. That cuts it down to 120, which is still respectable. You said it, it's so cultural accepted in this region. Like a few days back a posting of a friend of min on FB doing some special beer at the indoor playground, kids fun and parents fun. Another thing, Fathers day is coming up, last year we got to do some fun stuff with the little ones at school. And school had arranged for beer during this. The head-master of the kindergarten was uncapping and making sure every dad had some! Gotta love Belgium, but challenge wise it sometimes can be a (dare i say it, challenge) Thanx for peeking in Agnarr! 1 hour ago, Trewest said: I might take you up on the KCal challenge (I'm seeing you throw down to the Beast and I am left all twitchy ) but you'd have to explain to me your tracking method so I can emulate it. But seriously, comparable isn't one of the words that is actually comparable Tracking would be easy, i have written out my goals on eating in general. But i will make it a little more quantifiable. I suggest you do the same, and we try to make our own weekly goals. Beast with the best score wins Yeah a lot sounds the same, and i practically learned english watching eighties cartoons (all the great stuff Tank is incorporating in his challenges) on sky channel and super channel back in the day. I even never studied for english and always got at least a B. I could always "hear" if the grammar was right. Now with posting a lot on the forums i seem to be struggling more than i did at school. Sometimes i have to lookup words and at times it's hard to express how i feel or think about things. But i don't think it's too bad. These germanic languages all sound the same. German isn't that for example. Especially when you know dutch and english. 1 hour ago, Wild Wolf said: Hell yeah! Pullups are my favorite BW exercise. Back for more, dude! Plus, El-Jay.... Here to support The Belgian Viking Though i only rarely eat chocolate (only dark 70-75%, for it's great flavor, but not much higher than that because it will turn real bitter real fast) i do know that Belgium does offer some of the best chocolate in the world! Funny thing, my wife told me to stop buying her chocolate (got her a huge box of chocolate for valentines day a few years back) because she feels guilty for eating so much (since chocolate isn't the most healthiest option). 10 hours ago, Tanktimus the Encourager said: I don't think about chocolate as much since going paleo... Now i'm not really paleo (not at all even) but i have never had that much of a liking of chocolate. It helps that the only chocolate i like is the really dark ones, and they are rarely served, it's usual that sweet-sweet milky or white chocolate (which isn't really chocolate actually "White chocolate is a chocolate derivative" and is made of cacaobutter as a main ingredient). 4 Quote ... a little odd in the head ... Mr_Willes
WARNING: RANT! I have to release some steam, next week i'm having my annual trip to the Black Forest with my bike. Last year we had a lot of rain and it was cold (around 10 degrees C). This year it started out great. It had been cold for quite some time in April, but starting May things were looking up. Having temperatures of about 20-25 in the next coming days. When the 14 day forecast displayed our first day i saw rain... next days and every day added was more rain, rain, rain, rain rain, rain rain rain! GD! This is the forecast for the place we are staying, i emphasized our stay... So i'm getting really grumpy with this. The hotel we go to is FANTASTIC. It belongs to 2 brothers, where one of them takes the early shifts and one takes the late shifts. The one with the late shifts also rides. Connected to this hotel is a first class butchery, which means the meat you get slabbed on your plate with dinner is huge and delicious. The surroundings are spectacular (because it rains a lot) it's very green, and hilly which makes for fantastic driving with the bikes. That's the reason why this is about the 10th year we are going there. And the last 4 years we have had a lot of rain. So i was hoping this year would be better, but i think i must have done something to set off the weather-gods. Now for the people who don't drive motorbikes. Rain is about the biggest spoiler you can have when you have a semi-aggressive riding style. Roads become slick and dangerous, everything gets cold, it's just no fun. So i'm gonna pack my running shoes, so when we don't go out to ride at least i can work on my stamina a bit. End of RANT! 3 Quote ... a little odd in the head ... Link to comment

Miw_Sher
Also, I used to live in Munich which is another region where beer is just as culturally accepted. It was still a shock when I came here... let's just say there is a major difference in how strong they are. Also, there is much more diversity which means your first reaction when you appreciate beer such as myself is "ZOMG GOTTA TRY THEM ALL!!" The biggest festival of the city is coming up in two weeks and it will be my first time witnessing it. I am not even going to try a beer challenge with that premise... 2 Quote Goblin | Level 7 | STR: 4 | DEX: 2 | STA: 3 | CON: 3.5 | WIS: 8 | CHA: 2.5 Nerdfitness Character, Past challenges: 1 1 2 2 3 4 5 5 6, Current challenge (March 19 - April 15): click Tough Mudder Ireland || Battle for Graduation || My Neverending Story (on hiatus) Link to comment
