CM continues

for anyone just tuning in, i'm CM. i get up early to get my lift on and enjoy good food. i'm trying to bring my bodyfat % down by cutting calories and losing some pounds which has proven to be difficult for me as i typically negate weekly progress by letting loose on the weekends. i'm am trying to change that.

 

snapshot of progress over the past couple months:

2/6/16 – 164.4lbs

3/4/16 – 163.3lbs

4/2/16 – 162.4lbs

5/2/16 – 162.0lbs

Quest 1

*calorie goals:

  •  within 9,600 for the first week (6 days, 1600/day). 5/8/16, the first day of the challenge, will not be counted in my weekly total as I will still be in FL – arriving back at 12:30AM on Monday 5/9
  •  within 200 calories of 12,000 for the second week (1700/day),
  • 12,600 for the third week (1800/day), and
  • 11,200 for the fourth week (1600/day).

*cook all breakfasts and at least one lunch or dinner meal at home each weekend. Memorial day weekend will be hard with a music festival that i'm going to so I’m allowing myself to count this as a total throughout challenge goal: 4 lunch/dinner meals and 8 breakfast meals prepped at home on a Saturday or Sunday.

*take measurements and progress photos for challenge end

 

Quest 2

*complete 5 lifting sessions per week

lifting 5x/week, going back to 5/3/1 as I think I’ve pretty much reach the end of my newbie gainz on the big 6 type program. It’ll be good to add back in all the accessories I’ve been “missing”

 

Quest 3

*complete 30 minutes of foam rolling or mobility per week

*complete four yoga sessions throughout the challenge

*complete 3 cardio sessions throughout the challenge. adding an additional cardio session this challenge so I can pretend I’m training for the spartan on june 4th.

oh good! let's hope it works. i've been doing steady state low-ish calories for awhile now (with interspersed high calorie vaca days) and it hasn't given me what i want.

You seem to be in almost the exact same place as @starpuck. We're working on her metabolism.

 

Unfortunately conventional wisdom doesn't do jack for long term success. Sure if you just cut your calories a bunch you lose weight but if you do it too hard or too long (twss) then it can cause problems.

totally agree. i thiiiiink i am probably just bad at sticking to a proper cut which is why i'm losing so slowwww. i would love if my cutting numbers were similar to other female warriors around here! but i don't think i workout enough lol

W0D3 - Tuesday

 

so yesterday with coworkers, every hour on the hour, we did:

1min wall sits – 2

1min planks – 2

45s side planks – 1

1min lunge holds – 1

1min forward fold – 1

 

spent a lot of time packing for the trip last night and making sure my bottle of vodka was wrapped up well enough to survive the trip.

 

cals 1,685

CHO/FAT/PRO = 160/61/135
