First 2 mile run

This past week I did my first ever combination 2-mile run/walk(mostly run). 5 weeks ago I couldn't do more than 2 short sets of HIIT sprints the length of the alley behind my house. I built up to doing 9 sets of those sprints with my friend, and then the other day we decided it was time we try running the two mile stretch from my house to where we both work. I felt exhausted at the end of it, but this morning the day after I don't feel like I'm about to die like I did in the past when I used to try to run. This is really exciting for me! My scurrent running goal is to achieve 2 miles at a nonstop medium paced jog.

Amazing! I look up to people like you. I'm working on distance running myself, and it's no joke. I can't wait to be able to do what you just did.

 

Are you looking to do a 5k at some point?
