Here are all the squirrels I intend to catch in 2016. Some of them are more wily and difficult to capture than others, and there are a few I'm not yet equipped to even attempt (those are for next year). Tree rodents beware, I'm coming!

 

EDUCATIONAL SQUIRRELS

• Transfer to 4-year school (I'm already registered and ready to go)
• Move into dorms (this is scary squirrel)
• Set up an internship for fall
• Get fall textbooks early and work ahead
• Explore on-campus clubs and join a few. In particular, check out:
  • Geology club
  • Biology club
  • Hiking club
  • Writing club
  • Archery club
  • Line-dancing club
• Find somewhere to start total beginner's martial arts lessons

 

FITNESS SQUIRRELS

• Join the gym
• Start couch-to-5k
• Be able to run 1/2 mile without stopping
• Be able to run 1 mile without stopping
• Figure out new diet plan

 

WRITING SQUIRRELS

• Finish and self-publish "Money on the Side" ebook
• Do final round of edits on fantasy novella and self-publish
• Finish last 1/4 of fantasy novel

 

WEBSITE SQUIRRELS

• Schedule weekly blog posts through the end of the year
• Monetize all pages with google ads or amazon affiliate links
• Redo location maps using cartoDB
• Finish the 8 location summaries currently needing doing
• Schedule daily facebook posts ahead a couple months

 

FINANCIAL SQUIRRELS

• Sell my excess stuff on eBay

 

PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT SQUIRRELS

• Join local gem and mineral club
• Look into local Search and Rescue volunteer program
• Resume German lessons on Duolingo
• Read all the unread books currently on shelves
• Renew CPR and First Aid certifications
• Learn to use Lytro camera, or resell it

 

FUN SQUIRRELS

• Take at least 1 road trip before next semester begins
• Go metal detecting on the beach
• Visit Hallelujah Junction crystal collecting spot
• Practice embroidery / beading
