For work, I order a lot of steel - sometimes hundreds of thousands of pounds.  You just picked up an entire semi-truck load of steel.

Some of it was body weight....

Honestly, it would not surprise me to come into a wildross thread and find that he literally was loading a semi-truck with steel one day.

Went to the NTC in Clermont on Friday night, figuring it would be empty.  Fullest I've ever seen the rack area.  2 couples working on Olympic lifts, 4 guys doing a circuit of power cleans and stuff, then me doing this.  I did the pushups this morning at the hotel between meetings.

Total 36,900#...guess there was a reason I was shaking by the end.

Row 4 min 912 m

Jump rope 30 <- did not feel like cardio...

Next week is Boston on Monday/Tuesday, then Christi and I leave for the west coast on Thursday.

And for Father's Day, this happened

The shield is from the Legend of Zelda (I think).

Isaiah 54:17 is my life verse.  "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, but every tongue raised against you in judgement, thou shalt condemn".

The NOTW logo is from the phrase "Not of this World", speaking of my allegiance to Christ and His kingdom.

I had decided to get this tattoo last year when I had the original cancer diagnosis, Christi had tried to kill herself and was in the in patient psych ward and I was fighting thoughts of despair.  The shield and swords are battered cause I've been through a few battles, but I'm still standing.

Christi had selected the artist, but was unable to go.  It was inked by LaRon Givens at Hart and Huntington at Universal Studios in Orlando.  Ron was on season 2 of Inkmasters.  He specializes in 'creatures' but I think he did a great job with the shield.  He originally made it smaller, but was happy at all the room he had to work with.   I have no plans or desires for any more ink.

That is a very battered Hyrulean shield. Still capable of doing what it should do and supporting those around it. Nice. "He who is in you, is greater than he who is in the world".

No workout on Monday as I had an early travel day, then meetings, then business dinner.

Light workout on Tuesday cause my left calf and glute really tightened up.  Glad I have a masage scheduled tomorrow.

Squat 10x45,135,5x225,1x315

Bench 20x45,135,225,5x275

Bit of a laggard update.  Some combination of sitting wrong (maybe during the tattoo) or sleeping wrong caused some tightness in my mid back which lead to the tension in my left leg and glute.  Which is really odd, because it is usually the other side that tighens up.

I've started tracking my food again on MFP.  Really want to work on cutting the white carbs.  Wow....I eat a lot.  Had a trip to Boston on Monday/Tuesday which made for tiredness.  Plus finishing up my presentation for Red Hat Summit (I've designed and will be teaching a 2 hour lab to 50 people).  And then flying to California on Thursday with Christi.  I've worked out 4 times so far this week, but they've been light due to the travel and back issues.

Totals

Tuesday 6/21 11,590#

Wednesday 6/22 16,728#

Thursday 6/23 20,530#

Friday 6/24 16,605#

Tattoo has gone through the peeling and itching phases (mostly) now.  It's starting to look really good.    The ends of the sword handles are a little irritated because they rub my shirt, but other than that, I think it's good.  It might be contributing to the back issues as well, since I'm a side sleeper and have been trying to protect that shoulder.

You continue to amaze, Wildross.

Not sure why...

Saturday.  Right as I got to the gym I got a text from a good friend and coworker.  She is currently pregnant with her first child at age 43 and there are issues with a thin spot in her uterus.  The baby appears to be 100% healthy but the drs are VERY concerned about her health.  She could basically drop dead on the street if it ruptures....so she is checking options...  Sort of distracted me during the workout to say the least.

Total a measly 12,000#

1 armed db Bench 10x50,60,70,80,90
Pullovers 10x50,60,70,80,90

You are a bit of a roll model for me.  :-)

open spoiler for unabashed flattery

I always come away from your threads impressed.  With your lifts (of course), but also your dedication, your time management, your positive attitude, and your ability to travel so much and still excel in the gym.  It's pretty inspirational to me.  I traveled 5 times for work last summer to facilitate conferences and felt like I was in a continual cycle of exhaustion.
