Never let her find NF. The tales you tell of her ruthlessness would only encourage her. :panda:

It might be too late!

The new program just came in.  She must be really bored today.

5 days.  Not 6.  Lots of volume.

Make sure she didn't change your weeks to 5 days long (who needs Tuesday and Thursday) with 73 weeks in a year.

Sometime this week, either Thursday or Friday, I will be getting my next program - some kind of hybrid.  I am guessing:

6 days per week - because training life and social life do not mix.

Squats every day except.....

Deadlifts make a comeback!

Snatches and Cleans and Jerks

And screw Bench Press!  (once per week with dumbbell work in between)

Some list of accessories.... (Rows, Push Press, OHP)

We will see how accurate this list is.

Not very.

1. Five-day week, not six.  So.  WRONG!

2. Squats four days per week, not six.  So.  WRONG!

3. Deadlifts are back in the program.  Correct!

4. Snatches, Cleans, and Jerks remain in the program.  Correct!

5. All the pull work remains.  No prediction made.

6. Screw Bench Press!  Correct!

7. Once per week Bench Press.  WRONG!  Zero!

Overall score:  Neutral.

It will take me a few weeks to get to know this program.

We were discussing the new programming today and doing some very light work.

Two Snatch Pulls + Snatch, 5x3x64 pounds

Clean High-Pulls + Clean, 2x5x134 pounds + 3x5x94 pounds - This is also known as:  Cardio.

Front-Squats: 4x5x134 pounds

Score for Today:

2901 Calories

308 Carbs

107 Fat

191 Protein

+1.7 Overall

No idea what to name the program at this time.  It looks like I will be learning....

drei

vier

acht

neun

You're going to building some maß

I just learned how to pronounce that!

Meanwhile, she says no, No, NO, NO!!!! to going up a weight class.

There will be three weeks in August where my parents will be in town and my father will be feeding me.  I will most definitely go up a weight class. :P  :fat:

Sounds like you'll be enlisted into the Bulgarian cut method.  Squat volume, intensity, and frequency will likely not wane.  You would be fed bread and water, but bread has too many carbs.

When the program came in, I misunderstood.  I thought my week off was cancelled and I was starting the new program and I would be doing 10x10 Squats and 3 Sets of 8 Deadlifts and dumbbell work and accessories today.  Just when I thought she loves me, she hates me!

The general template looks like:

3 Days of Olympic:

Snatch Pull and Snatch Work

Clean Pull and Clean work and Jerk

Front Squats and Accessories

2 Days of Power:

10x10 of either Squats or Deadlifts

3x8 of either Deadlifts or Squats

Dumbbell work and Accessories

I still have not named the program.

EDIT:  Does anybody know how to make those German letters or should I just pop on Ada's thread and ask?

Yup.  Looks like I'm moving to Germany.

Bulgaria is warmer this time of year!

I still don't know how to count over three in German!

I knew how to write the symbols but only because if I press the key on the mac longer it gives me the choices.

If you go to Norway by the way you also need to know how to write the æ ø å.

Reading this as a german puts a smile on my face :)

My foreign language is pretty complicated :D

This Challenge sure took a turn.  Most certainly I was not expecting this.  How much German can I learn on this program?  It appears to cycle 10x10 Squats once per week and 10x10 Deadlifts once per week, for six weeks, then three weeks of 5x5 volume.

So I guess it is not really GVT - just a couple of 10x10's per week.

Today was a Rest Day!  I should be spending the rest of it figuring out what all I should be signing up for and doing on Big Island.  Meetup with RB, of course!  I'm debating whether to do this on 10x10 Squat Day or 10x10 DL Day. :tyrannosaurus:

Score for Today:

2767 Calories

317 Carbs

98 Fat

174 Protein

+2.9 Overall

She says:  Just make sure I don't get my carbs from bread alone.

So..... chocolate?

I took a grad course in turbo-machinery... an indeterminate period of time ago.  It's a lot like staying at a Holiday Inn, but more expensive.

Wikipedia to the rescue!

Next up is converting all these English units into something that makes more sense........

....or not.....

It looks like the pump curve has an "ideal" range and then the efficiency goes to hell in a handbasket.  Got it! :)

Yes, based on geometry, you wind up with a graph of efficiency islands - looks topographical.  It's usually based on mass flow and pressure ratio if I remember correctly.  It could be volumetric flow and pressure ratio.  That would probably make more sense as it's driven my geometry.

Meanwhile the geometry is based on a bunch of assumptions and in the end we SWAG it. :D

---------------------------

One more light day for this week.

2 Snatch Pulls + Hip Snatch, 2x3x64, 4x3x84 pounds

Clean High Pull + Clean + 2 Jerks, 1x94, 1x114, 6x134 pounds

Bent-over Rows, 4x10x94 pounds

24 pull-ups, sort of broken up into 8+8+4+3+1 - because I have forgotten how and they were wound into the rows.

No interesting troll lines I can think of.

Score for Today:

2981 Calories

275 Carbs

129 Fat

192 Protein

+2.5 Overall

Veggies?  I finished off the bag of carrots today.  So I will count that! :D

New program?  Probably start on Sunday with Day 5.  Hmm.  That would make Friday and Saturday two more consecutive rest days.
