Just remember you are running a Ferrari not a clunker? Regular vs Premium! You got this!

Hah, thank you for the reminder. I should probably start treating my body more like a Ferrari. As a side note, it would help if I had a Ferrari and not a clunker income. ;)

I tracked food yesterday. Looking at my food totals is reminding me why I am no losing weight. And also why alcohol and dieting do not make great bedfellows.

Here is my log from yesterday. Still need to add in a few more ounces of wine.... I'm going to try hard to stay under 2000 cals today.

Was your dinner a baked potato supreme?  That sounds delicious.

Pretty much. ;) I've been trying to save money for so many things (glad i proofread, that was almost - soapy things) that dinners are getting... interesting.

I asked my better half what he wanted on a baked potato and he said "ground beef" and I was like, "that's it?" He replied "and jalapeños". But we also had sour cream, cheese, and avocado in the house. I told him next time we should do a broccoli cheddar with ground turkey potato.

Luckily the garden greens are now ready, so there will definitely be salad with our dinners starting soon. And pea pods are starting to appear on the pea plants. :)

I'm making a pesto this morning, to go on breakfast potatoes, of baby beet greens and basil from the garden.

That all sounds amazing. I should do some baked potatoes, do you think I could pull of some sweet potatoes? I happen to be sitting on some... Also making pesto from some scapes I clipped! Yay!!! Now to not eat it all in one shot... :P

You can pull off anything if you have confidence it won't taste like shit. ;) also for the record I microwaved the dinner "baked" potatoes because I didn't want to heat up the whole house.

I actually think pesto on sweet potatoes would be really good. It sounds weird, but I think the flavor profiles and textures would work.

My plan is to pre-nuke the potato cubes for 5 min, toss them in pesto, and then roast until crispy.

Thank you! I <3 Firefly.

Don't tell the man of the house, but we came pretty close to eating puréed spider. Despite hand picking off the stems of the baby beet greens, rinsing etc, while I was putting the last of the leaves in the blender a sizeable spider tumbled out onto the counter.

Not that there isn't bug parts in most food that we don't know about, but it's a bit different when you see it laid out on your counter. I thought it was dead until I picked it up with a paper towel to throw it away...

Squats went fabulous tonight! I think all these squat variations are helping. Previous PR was 55# 5x5. I decided to do a 'reverse run the rack' tonight.

Back Squats

1x5, 45#

1x5, 50#

1x5, 55#

1x5, 60#

1x5, 65#

1x4, 70#

1x5, 65#

I also did bench, curls, and my circuits. But the highlight was definitely the squats.  Ankle mobility is improving and form is stronger. Except my very first rep was fucking ugly, but I got my shit together real quick.

One thing is that I think I was looking down too far previously and it was making me lean forward too much. I'm looking closer to straight ahead (thanks Alan Thrall and my trainer), I'm a lot more tight like this and the bar stays over midfoot better.

On the downside I'm stalling out on bench somewhere between 65# and 70#. Time to look at intermediate rep schemes for that. But I'll wait to decide until I finish this program because it could be that all the circuits in my current program are burning me out and I need more recovery.

Not to like, Fan Girl out or anything...but seriously one of the best shows ever created.

Ever.

Somebody around here needs to do a Firefly challenge soon!

Meanwhile, I ate half a pizza, cooked from frozen, for lunch. Dinner is going to have to be a strategic pile of protein.

I'm not making excellent food choices. However, I am tracking and I'm not wildly away from my target. I'm not going to worry too much about making the healthier food choices until I get back from camping because we'll be trying to eat up food in the house, not buy fresh food stuffs.

Also, I finally did a little more sewing. Thanks to @Emerald_Dragonfly for encouraging me, and to my SO for harassing reminding me that there are projects I want to get done. The body of the dress is done including many gores. Like this but not. Next is sleeves, hem, and trim. I need to wash the lining fabric for the sleeves before I can work on those. I'm also supposed to be starting a top for the SO. I might start ironing that fabric tonight.

The one I'm working on has sleeves like this (it's the outer dress). Mine is brown and I'm lining the sleeves in mustard colored fabric. I already have dresses in red, that color purple, and sage green.

This text kept ending up in my food logs above so I had to do a separate post.

What a great colour on you! Awesome :)

Thank you!

Unrelated, despite eating my weight in frozen grocery store pizza yesterday I woke up 2.5# less this morning. Obviously this is a fluid fluctuation thing, but it was a nice way to start my Monday!

Nothing to be honest with you. In theory, it *could* be a scarf. It was yarn originally bought for a baby blanket that I never made. and who wants a baby blue scarf? So I just bring the scarf project to events sometimes to keep my hands busy. I'm knitting it as a scarf but I don't know if it will ever be done/given to anyone. The pictures are from February and the next event I'll bring it to is in July. Maybe when it is done I'll unravel it and start all over? haha.

This is majorly why I want to get into archery because I can only spend so many more years just watching other people compete. I need something I can compete in, but with my medical problems, I don't want people hitting me with giant sticks. I'm hopefully buying a bow next week!

This happens way too often around here. Someone mentioned elsewhere that if you follow before you comment it unfollows you? not sure...
