Today's summary:

mfp base 1200 + 305 pedometer - 1892 food = -387 remaining

 

I ate too much. At least most of it was healthy, but, still. Now I feel stupid for eating so much when it didn't make the stress go away, it just made me feel sickly full.

 

Tomorrow will be better.

It will, and these things happen. Forgive yourself and move on, looking at those numbers you're still probably under your maintenance and things could have been much worse. I hope whatever was causing you stress has gone now.

Today will be better.  No repeat of yesterday.  I might even be able to sneak in some gym time if I get past the mom guilt of asking my mom to watch him 3 days instead of 2 days for gym time.

Wednesday summary:

 

Hit the gym.  Added in ST for the first time at the gym, as well as cardio.

1200 mfp base + 578 exercise (including pedometer 10,304 steps so far today) - 1623 food = 155 remaining

 

I'm supposed to join a raid in WoW tonight but I think I'll just read a book and relax. :)

I feel like that's kinda low on calories for the day, but I feel like I ate a lot.

Sometimes uneventful days are nice.  I keep seeing mfp on your posts and not sure what that means.

You know, I have an account with them and one with Lose It! but I would use it for a few days and then forget it existed entirely... I keep seeing you having a lot of sucess with tracking things and it's making me want to download it again or just slap the webpage on my browser bar at home :P

The tracking is a HUGE help for me, I highly recommend it!  And with it on my phone, it's super easy, especially since I tend to rotate the same foods most often, so they stay in my frequently used, lol.  I also attribute a lot of my success to the fact that I track everything BEFORE I eat/drink it. That way I can get a reality check when needed.  Sometimes I just have a super high calorie day, but its tracked. Oftentimes, when I track something and see how unhealthy it is, I change up for a healthier option.

 

Epic plans for weekend and week!  Taking the kiddo up north by sister/brother-in-law for a week of vacation! We leave Saturday morning!  So I won't be on here much next week, and I will try to cheer really loudly for you all so you can hear me. ;)   lol

Well, following some advice I got on the mfp reddit forum, I set mine to a sedentary activity level as the baseline. That's what gives me the 1200, which is the lowest it will go for women. My pedometer syncs up with it, which gives me my extra calories for the day, and I also add in any exercise that I do when I do it.  I found it was giving me too high of a range when I had it set for "active" as well as syncing up with my pedometer.

 

And I'm totally eating some grapes now. I guess my calories were too low for the day cause I'm hungry.

Not sure which pedometer you have, but if you have a fitbit, you can set it to subtract calories as well as add. Then it really doesn't matter what you have the activity set to! I found it very helpful back when I counted calories. :)

July 1st means time for a June summary!

 

I did well with my goals in June (weeks 0 - weeks 3 of challenge).  Honestly, I think I'm keeping the same goals for July, though I am toying with adding a "level up your life" goal as well.  In June, I lost a total of 10.2lbs!  And as of today's weigh in, I met my third minigoal with a little extra! (Minigoal: 212 (60 lbs lost) - today's weight 211.4! (60.6lbs lost!).  For my weekly official weigh in thingy, I lost 2 lbs since last week Friday.

 

I was really hoping to meet this minigoal by today, so I'm really happy that I succeeded!  I'm kinda awed that my next minigoal puts me down into the 100's!  And a little daunted. If I follow the pattern I have been, I should hit it sometime in September.  I'm realizing it's really not an unreasonable goal to try and hit 100 lbs lost by the end of 2016, since that's only 40 more lbs, and I have five months.  It's been taking me 2-2.5 months per 20 lbs. It will be close, but it's not completely impossible!

Congrats on all the weight loss, that one hell of an achievement!

 

I love my Fitbit, I've got a heart rate one which is really good for tracking consistently. I use the Fitbit app for tracking rather than My Fitness Pal, which is really good for calorie tracking. Unfortunately it's rubbish for macro tracking though as you can only get the macro breakdown on the website, not the app.

Thanks, Jarric!   I keep hearing good things about FitBit, at this point I really just need to pick one and order it.

 

Today's summary:

1200 mfp base + 163 gym + 390 pedometer (12,295 steps so far!) - 1388 food = 365 remaining

 

I might end up having a snack later cause I still feel a little hungry.  Drinking water and seeing if that helps. I'm expecting to accrue at least another 1,000 steps because tonight is all the packing for vacation!

I am also in the Fitbit fan club if that helps and I highly recommend it. I have had mine since Christmas 2012 and I have used it every single day since so it's well worth the money. I use MFP to track my food because I hate the format on the Fitbit site and I just let it sync the food over.

Thanks Slayer!  And that's the thing, no one who has a fitbit has said to me "I have one and I hate it so much, it sucks, don't buy it".  I just need to stop waffling over it and order one!  :P

 

This morning is shower, breakfast, load car, and then figure out how to attach the bike rack on the car.  I'm not what one would call remotely handy, so I'm kinda nervous, we'll see how it goes!  Vacation bound!!

So far vacation has been mostly good. Tonight I'm feeling incredibly lonely and pathetic, but, well, that is what tends to happen when I spend time around a couple as openly in love as my sister and her husband are.  I haven't done a good job of keeping my brain distracted since kiddo has gone to bed, so I'm pretty depressed.  On the healthy lifestyles front, I went way over my calories, but below what MFP says would be my maintenance calories, so I guess not too bad.  I got 85 minutes of bike riding today as well as about 6200 steps. Not bad at all.

Today is my most recent ex's birthday.  Today is also the date of the bbq party four years ago during which my ex-husband and my ex-friend made their text/phone based affair physical.  So my head's been a mess all day. Add to it my sister continues to have just a horrible attitude about everything.  She must be an incredibly unhappy person. She constantly complains unless she's on her computer playing games.  We wasted all morning sitting around the house so that she wouldn't feel left out if we went and did stuff.  Then when she came with us to do stuff in the afternoon it was all complain complain complain.  The cap on the day was driving home from fireworks when my son fell asleep in the car and I had to listen to her bitching about the fact he was snoring.  Should I have woken up the exhausted six year old?  I am so beyond stressed and my anxiety is through the roof. I've already decided not to go along with her tomorrow morning - she has a weekly breakfast get together with a friend that she didn't want to cancel with us up here, instead she invited us to join her.  Yeah, that will not go well. She barely tolerates my son, and she wants me to put him in an environment for four hours that he will be bored in.  So he and I will stay here at their house and play games and ride bikes and have fun, and she and my bro-in-law can go do the adult things.

 

Off of my ranting and depression and onto my goals. I got about a half hour of biking today and around 5200 steps. Pretty low, but better than nothing. My calories were at about 2100, so not as high as yesterday, but still high. Not over maintenance level though, so hopefully no gain.  What pushed me over was the (I'm guessing) approximately 500 calories smoothie that my bro-in-law made for dessert. It was super tasty though, so its hard to regret it. And it wasn't made with ice cream, so I don't think it was too bad nutritionally, just super calorie filled. It had a mango, a banana, and 1.5 cups of orange juice.  And ice, but well, no calories there. :P

 

Tomorrow since I'm skipping the going out in the morning I'll have full control over breakfast and possibly lunch.  I already know that dinner is tacos from the local mexican place, but I don't think that should be too bad, because they way they make them isn't full of things like cheese and sour cream.  I'm hoping to get at least 30-60 minutes biking and possibly a nice long walk.
