That's a giant bummer.  I hope that it is feeling better, now?

Seems like carpet is a poor choice.

I hope you're feeling better already!

I have developed a pet peeve for gym floors.

This may have been caused by the floor's padding (some weird jigsaw pieces) sliding out from under me and pulling my right leg out during squats. I'll not mention any more details, just that it would have made for a very funny gym fail gif.

Gym I used to go to had this rubber flooring, and there must have been a hole or something in the floor under one of the mats in the squat rack, just where I'd want to put my foot for squatting. Like, seriously??

There are "bubbles" in my gym floor mat where the bar has clearly been dropped a lot during deadlifts. Like the material got stretched and now it puckers up where two mats come together. Between that and divots it causes problems getting the bar to touch down correctly during deadlifts. So now I end up taking mats and placing them under the plates for deadlifts to avoid ... floor inconsistencies?

The gym I use is about 11 miles away from my apartment.

There is a gym about 2 miles away from my apartment and I don't go there because they have the stupid plates.

Ah ok, it´s what I describe with breaking the bar. You´re doing it standing, I´m doing it while adjusting my grip.

I had to use stupid plates for about a year. Half of the year they were stupid because they had the wrong diameter and the other half they had the right diameter but the wrong shape.

That must be annoying!

No, don't break the bar, some of them are too expensive!

The gym I'm at the flooring is not even, even on the platforms. That's pretty common unfortunately.

I can't handle hex plates because deadlifting with them they jolt. :(
