I was able to do light cardio this week and am going to attempt at least one lift day, damn it! I'm going in today. I don't care what I lift, I just want to pick something up and put it down again. This is where I am at after basically two weeks of camping/vacation/poor food choices and limited workouts. JUST LIFT SOMETHING TADDEA. You posted that a few days ago, how has it been going since? I got in one workout last week, I am going to go today and I have a my last 1/2 personal training session on Thursdays. Which I'm afraid for because I'm feeling so out of shape! 1 Quote Jǫrð, Delvian Nomad - Level 12 { Battle Log } Link to comment

Oh, it hasn't gotten any better. Hasn't gotten any worse, though, so there's that. But I think I'm letting this challenge go and will start again with goals that fit the sudden uptick in stuff going on in life. Good luck on Thursday's session!! Are you going in there all fired up, or are you going to let the trainer know what's been going down in Taddea-land? 1 Quote "The aim of life is self-development. I was just wondering where you've been No reason the challenge can't be three weeks if that's what it needs to be, or where ever the course takes you. I dunno if it's the season or what, but I've been completetly fried on this challenge... I'm kind of excited to see it end lol. I'll be doing a nice big cheers to seeing it over come this weekend. Here's to it and whatever it is going forward! 2 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

You can update your thread on what you ARE working on and then start a new challenge next time around that works with your current lifestyle. P.S. I'm definitely going to let the trainer know that I feel like a limp noodle. He does know that I was camping for a week and that my shoulder was hurt last week, but I'm not sure that that will stop him from pushing me to my max! 2 Quote Jǫrð, Delvian Nomad - Level 12 { Battle Log } Link to comment

Oh hell yeah! I change up my challenges plenty, just so long as I can stand behind the change - that it's for the better, not a cop-ou... so much of all this is learning while we go. And sometimes, sure, I'll take the F for the month and work on that thing again some other time when it makes more sense. Long term yo! 2 Quote ~Peace Be The Journey~ one - two - three - four - five - six - seven- eight - nine - ten - eleven - twelve - thirteen - fourteen - fifteen - sixteen - seventeen - eighteen - nineteen - twenty - twenty one - twenty two - twenty three - twenty four - twenty five - twenty six - twenty seven - twenty eight - twenty nine - thirty - thirty one - thirty two - thirty three - thirty four - thirty five - thirty six Link to comment

My challenge this month was just to workout and track my food, even that proved to be a struggle! Some months are harder than others... 3 Quote Jǫrð, Delvian Nomad - Level 12 { Battle Log } Link to comment
Alaysia
Thanks, guys! This being only my second challenge, I was kinda feeling a little bit fail-y. I started my new job this week and my new online class for summer session last week. So I've been distracted, to say the least. With my new schedule I can't make it to the gym for my lifting, which saddens me. But I'm going to start body weight stuff at home. Or maybe yoga. I won't have time for much, so I'll pick one to start next week. With the new office job and the online schooling, I'm now at a desk like all the time. (Hence my absence from here for a bit.) So yoga might be smarter, but I feel like I'm watching my muscles (I couldn't actually see them, just the idea of them) wither away. Both job and school end in the beginning of August and then I'll be able to go back to lifting heavy things again. I walk at every break and every lunch hour. I'm pleased with that. I keep bumping into a guy from my work since he walks as well, but always seems to pick the opposite direction. Ah, nothing like that awkward smile/nod thing where you're both doing the same thing but conversation seems odd. Anyway, turns out he lost over a 100lbs. We're the only two who walk. Clearly, we're the cool kids. I also do step-ups on the curbs. Haven't found a place to do wall push-ups, yet. The exterior is all stucco and hard on the hands. I'll figure something out. I can probably do squats, too, once I'm on the backside of the building. Hmm. Some good mornings, too. Quote "The aim of life is self-development. Emerald_Dragonfly
You can do door pulls at home, too. Pushups on stairs work pretty well, although they are more challenging than wall push ups. Plus all the bw squats - and you can goblet squat the heaviest stuff you can find. Not failing, adapting! :-) Which is smart, and nerd-alicious. :-) 1 Quote ~Emerald_Dragonfly Level 13 Warrior Link to comment
Jord
Before I moved last fall I did all my workouts at home without a home gym. The key ingredient was that I purchased a set of adjustable dumbbells from used sports equipment store. The kind of dumbbells with plates that you can switch out. Then you can do all sorts of upper body work plus things like goblet squats, standing calf raises, weighted lunges, and the like. As for at work, if you wear pants when the weather is cooler you can hide ankle weights under there. At my old job there were some ladies who would walk around the office every afternoon with ankle weights on. For outdoor work break/at home exercise ideas I recommend: http://darebee.com/ For at home exercise videos you can watch on youtube I recommend: fitnessblender.com Quote Jǫrð, Delvian Nomad - Level 12 { Battle Log } Link to comment
