Schaengel
Hello dear Scouts I'll be joining you for this challenge (and maybe some more) since my focus at the moment is on running, running and more running (but of course I'll remain an assassin at heart). I have a marathon coming at the start of October (what the hell pushed me there? Oh yeah my competitive self...) So I hope to learn something here Quest 1: “And I will walk 500miles Part 3" I have a training schedule and a good book ("marathon for dummies") at hand but nonetheless the last runs just felt bad and often fell short of the goals I had for them. Because of that I will focus on running for the next months (and will cut out other activities like bouldering that are fun but don't help achieving my marathon goal). I will work a workout/training goal for every day here so that it's something I fell accountable for. Follow the training plan (meaning between 3-4 runs per week) Do a running fitness routine on non-running days. Stretching/Yoga for runners (Plans will be added tomorrow) Scoring: Every success (success = done what was planed) is one point. I'm away for 5 days so: 23-19points A and a new running shirt, 18-14points B and still on track everything below 14points will be an F Quest 2: Eat okay I let my food choices turn bad again the last challenges so this time it's going back to basic meaning. Eat within my calorie goal so that I can get back to losing weight. Goal is 2300kcal per day. Track food with myfitnesspal and picture in this thread (because I hope that will keep me from the really bad stuff because of embarrassment if I have to post them) Scoring: Every success (success = done what was planed) is one point. Eating within the calories but with bad food is 0,5points: 28-24points A and a new running shirt, 24-19points B and still on track everything below 19points will be an F Quest 3: Keeping the water in check I need to drink enough over the day so I will use my water app and will follow it. Scoring: Every success (success = done what was planed) is one point. I'm away for 5 days so: 28-24points A and a new running shirt, 24-19points B and still on track everything below 19points will be an F SPREADSHEETS ARE LOVE: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A6bqbuLfFobsTmjovJ3SQewodVhRo0SpsRMaMBk5-lI/edit?usp=sharing Quest 4: I'm an adult...somehow Keep on top of my adult live using and keeping evolving and doing new fun stuff with the Okay I'm looking forward to this... 5 Quote My NF-Character: https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/58102 Introduction Or How I started, Challenges: 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; RESPAWN ; 8 ; Member of the League of Epicness, Hellfire Club! ...would like to be a Nac Mac Feggle Link to comment

Schaengel
Day 1 OR at least it's probably going up from here A new challenge...and it starts like the last one ended Did my 60 minute run in the morning with a friend that is considerably slower then me. Normally that would have been okay today because I felt that a slower run would be good to get back into the running mood and also having somebody to talk to while running is nicer then running alone (and the chances of me canceling it are near 0%...), but he had a really bad day today like we had to walk half the time bad so that I'm only counting it as a point for the challenge because it wasn't my fault and since I didn't new the route that we were running going faster and meeting up later just wasn't possible. Rest of the day consisted from me lying on the sofa watching anime till the afternoon...to this point water okay and food still okay... Then I tried to do some adulting... today I planned some project work, some cleaning my room and looking over some contracts/financial stuff. I started with the last point on the list and found out that I missed the cancelation deadline on my phone contract by two weeks. The frustrating part about that is that I had a reminder set for the deadline when I made the contract but wrecked my phone in between and forgot to set the reminder in the new phone...so wohoo stuck for another year with a phone provider that's doing shitty service and also paying around 350€ more than I would have needed too. After that I was frustrated so I ordered pizza and went back to watching anime...so at leat it's probably going up from here... Quest 1: “And I will walk 500miles Part 3" 60 minutes of running really slow done, no stretching/yoga because F that (today) Quest 2: Eat okay Nope because of emotional frustration pizza ( I'm in my calorie goal because of good food choices in the morning and the running but because I used food because of frustration that's not worth a point...) Quest 3: Keeping the water in check Yes, and that also kept the eating fallout at bay a little Quest 4: I'm an adult...somehow Not really, tried and failed...at least I'm setting the deadlines for the project-work I planned to do so if I do some extra the next days it's going to be fine... 3 Quote My NF-Character: https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/58102 Introduction Or How I started, Challenges: 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; RESPAWN ; 8 ; Member of the League of Epicness, Hellfire Club! ...would like to be a Nac Mac Feggle Link to comment

Just remember it was an old mistake and now you are doing better! I hope tomorrow goes great! 2 Quote Race: Elf ~ Class: Druid Apprentice ~ Level: 12 Current Challenge 2015-2016 Challenges: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve 2018-2019 Challenges: (first one in progress) Link to comment

Schaengel
Day 2 & 3 OR where I got swallowed by work Nothing much to say about the last days. A lot of meetings for the university project (but also a lot of awesome feedback...the project is becoming exactly what I hoped for). Since I will be leaving for the Graspop Metal Meeting on Thursday work is priority number one at the moment (at least the stuff I cant delegate which is...a lot because of a little know-how gap between me and my team ). Food was okay tracked everything and took photos of nearly all things... Eating like I feel (so sometimes skipping the breakfast if I don't fell like it) is working quite good. Also the chicken you see in the pictures at the bottom is exactly what I was looking for. Low carb, fast cooking in bulks possible and a taste that I won't get annoyed from fast. Also memo for myself need to look for low carb sauces for that then I'm pretty much set cooking wise Quest 1: “And I will walk 500miles Part 3" 60 minutes of running done on day 2...even though it could have been swimming too Also a basic stretching routine after (we have a little high water at the moment here) No training done on day 3 but preparations for the next weeks rest of the time was swallowed by work Quest 2: Eat okay Yes like mentioned above Quest 3: Keeping the water in check Yes, hooray for the app Quest 4: I'm an adult...somehow Yes but mainly because I don't do much except work at the moment 3 Quote My NF-Character: https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/58102 Introduction Or How I started, Challenges: 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; RESPAWN ; 8 ; Member of the League of Epicness, Hellfire Club! ...would like to be a Nac Mac Feggle Link to comment

Schaengel
Day 4 OR where I already ran out of witty alternativ-titles Day mainly consisted of working on my project, coffee, packing for the festival and running in the evening. Forgot to take food pics but it was chicken with sweet and sour sauce and mayonnaise for lunch and a salat with chicken and pizza bread for dinner. Will skip the run tomorrow because there is still some shopping and packing needed for the festival and also I have a spontaneous "kinda date" later so no running tomorrow but I will do project work when I'm not driving so I get something done in the end. Quest 1: “And I will walk 500miles Part 3" 60 minutes of running done on with 3 x 3minutes fast (trainer said I can go to the limit because it's slow again after that)ended with a average of 6,16min/km that's probably to fast for the marathon distance... Quest 2: Eat okay Yes really good also made smart choices Quest 3: Keeping the water in check Yes, hooray for the app Quest 4: I'm an adult...somehow Yes but didn't finished everything so I will take some with me to the festival so that I can at least tell myself that I could do something 3 Quote My NF-Character: https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/58102 Introduction Or How I started, Challenges: 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; RESPAWN ; 8 ; Member of the League of Epicness, Hellfire Club! ...would like to be a Nac Mac Feggle Link to comment

Schaengel
Days 5 to 11 OR where was I in the night of Wednesday to Tuesday? Yes I'm back from GMM (and the preparation days and the obligatory after-festival coma and pizza monday) To make it short Wednesday to Monday was a big bunch of no's on all the goals... But you know...that's what a festival brings with it Okay so Graspop Metal Meeting...started really really crappy we arrived in a storm...walked 30minutes with a lot of stuff to the camp ground and then our tent f'in broke...motivation reached 0 there. So since the opportunities we had where find a hotel for the day's that would be really expensive or go back home and try to get a new tent on short notice. So we drove 2,5 hours back home and I had to get my little brother back in the mood to try again the next day...also because I have great friends we instantly had two new throwing tents that we could borrow. So next try on the next morning and after some driving and chaotic travel we arrived and started with Grand Maggus and from that point it got better every day. My Highlites were: Black Sabbath, Heaven Shall Burn (East Germany Yeah ) but the winner of the festival were Twisted Sister! MAN It's there last tour ever and they just destroyed the place...It was soo awesome you can't really describe it (but imagine around 60000 people singing We're not gonna take it with Dee Snider for 20minutes because nobody's willing to stop the party...) (Some of my pictures too show that it was awesome after the bad start) So monday was spent in a coma, catching up sleep and that brings us to day 11: Quest 1: “And I will walk 500miles Part 3" 110 minutes of running done 17km...uh my feet hurt Quest 2: Eat okay Yes but no tracking I will have to start that again tomorrow Quest 3: Keeping the water in check Yes, hooray for the app Quest 4: I'm an adult...somehow Yes a lot of work was done...the project is nearing it's end and since I'm a little overachiever that means I have a lot to do...also my capture the flag project is demanding attention...and I will have to catch up on all your threads now...whoa so much to do...better get started 2 Quote My NF-Character: https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/58102 Introduction Or How I started, Challenges: 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; RESPAWN ; 8 ; Member of the League of Epicness, Hellfire Club! ...would like to be a Nac Mac Feggle Link to comment
