I loved the challenge set up by Annyshay so I'm going to piggy back off of that and include some of my heroes!

Team RWBY.

If you haven't seen this show. It's amazing. Please check it out. The art style if very different but the story, characters, and weapons are creative and amazing. It's on Netflix, Crunchyroll, or Rooster Teeth.

I've only started Nerd Fitness 4 days ago. So, the first day I did one circuit of everything. Then today I was able to do the circuit twice. Oh boy am I feeling it. XD

 

 Soon enough I'll be able to do it three times! Haha. And then I'll change the challenge to progressing into a handstand. My arms are so weak -_-

 

So, how do you add gifs? I see long and amazing gifs/pics all over the place yet when I try to add my own it keeps saying the file is too big. *sigh*

Day 2:

 

Ruby Rose: E3 is today. Therefore, it's slightly cutting into my plans. But I want to watch it all so workout was late but there!

Weiss Schnee: Stretched for the splits today. I feel more relaxed in the poses and I'm getting my head closer to my legs with each breath.

Blake Belladona: I read for about an hour this morning, as part of my morning routine now. I'm thoroughly enjoying my read through Game of Thrones.

Yang Xiao Long: I did the Bodyweight Circuit. Twice through. Almost started a third, but my legs were like NO! So, next time! Whip these legs into shape.

 

I would have done Day 1, however recently I thought had gotten over a childhood allergy of vertebrae fish. That is not the case as I discovered throwing up a tasty bass fish the night before. All of Day 1, my stomach and strength was striped. So, I took the day to rest and recover.

Day 3: June 14th 2016

 

Ruby Rose: Did you guys watch E3 yesterday? What are you excited for? I'm a PS4 owner so Horizon Zero Dawn is a game I've been looking forward to for quite some time. Although I still gotta wait until Feb. I was super excited to see new gameplay and little more about the dynamics of the game. EEEEK!!

This chick is literally who I want to be. She's strong, great with archery, has red hair, has the courage to leave her tribe/norms of society, resourceful, and can take on big monstrous beasts. SO much love

Other than that, I was excited about some other things. But I'll leave that for others to discuss (if they even read this. LOL).

Xbox really persuaded me this year. Never have I ever wanted an Xbox, always firmly PS and Sony, but this year with backwards compatibility, the new design (Xbone S which looks a heck of a lot like PS4), and the Play Anywhere system. Once we get the money, my husband and I might have to splurge.

 

Weiss Schnee: Enough fun stuff.

As my day of rest from the bodyweight circuit, I used this time for yoga and flexibility. So I did a 20 minute video from YouTube. It was good. My arms are so weak (always have been). Definitely need to make a future challenge to get them up to speed.

 

Blake Belladona: I read for a little under an hour today. About 40% done with Game of Thrones.

June 15th 2016:

 

Short and sweet: I did everything! 

 

Ruby changed my signature but was disappointed when images weren't allowed. *sigh*

Weiss was proud of my stretching, even if I seem to be going nowhere.

Blake read with me for just under an half hour, but we plan to read a little more after this message.

Yang cheered me on as I was so close to completing the body circuit three times. The squats. THE SQUATS!

 

I digress, it was progress.

Yesterday was good. I did everything, but wasn't able to record. (Pretty busy)

 

But today, oh man! Shin Splints. So I'm taking it easy on the legs and focusing on arms. This will be a set back in trying to to the circuit. If I'm able, I will try the whole body circuit tomorrow. But just walking there is a dull pain. Oh well. A (relatively) easy day doing push ups, inverted rows, and lifting milk jugs.

I DID IT!!!!!!! I did the full Bodyweight Workout Circuit 3x through. WOOT!

So excited that I finally did it! But now I must work on technique and upgrading. For Example: push-ups with knees on the floor => reg. push ups. Squats with my butt sticking out like a Nicki Minaj video => tucked under, keeping my back straight.

 

But I'm just stoked I made it through the 3 times.

And now I am back to square one trying to complete the circuit with better technique. *sigh*

 

I was able to complete one circuit and my arms are screaming!! Lol. Oh weakling arms. Plus, it was like 100° that day (yesterday).

 

Continuing to stretch and do yoga. REALLY feeling the stretches as of late. I'm getting a sense that I'm not only doing the stretches/positions correctly but it feels good. I look forward to my yoga sessions. :o)

Today is when I'm supposed to do the circuit, however due to a class I don't get home until very late (11:30pm ish). Therefore the next day I'm like...

Therefore, I did a body losing/flexible 20 minute session of yoga instead. Woot! Tomorrow, I will continue the circuit with full potential to get 2 rounds with great technique. :o)

I was doing the circuit almost starting from the ground up. Doing one circuit with proper push-ups and calling it a day. Then building to two circuits and so on. It was about two days ago that I realized this wasn't the brightest idea since I did the circuit three times and now I was demoting my workout routine. So that day I did two proper and completed the last circuit with "girl pushups" and told myself I was going to go through it three times no matter how tired I was so I could build endurance.

 

Today, I did it three times with "proper" push ups. I use quotes because my butt likes to sink down and I'm working hard to keep that sucker up and my back straight. I had to take some breaks (2-3 breaths) between or during segments. But all in all I see progress! YAY!

 

ESPECIALLY in my stretching! My face is getting awfully close to my legs in the different stretches and the splits (on my right side at least) are actually feeling good since I'm finally relaxing into the pose instead of trying to push down into the ground.

 

Reading is easy peasy now that it's in my morning wake-up routine. Plus, I LOVE READING. So great to get back into it.

 

And the game playing is overwhelming! My husband just got Overwatch and wow. Is that fun. But I'm also trying to get my rank up in Rocket League and 100% Uncharted 4. So next time I make a 4 week challenge I'm going to be more specific in my game goals. XD

That's why we're here for each other!! Maybe try incline pushups? They're scale-able and somewhere in between knee pushups (is this what you mean by girl pushups? :P ) and normal pushups.

Indeed it was. Ha!

 

Thank you for the suggestion! I did change the routine to have incline pushups (Though it's hard to find a proper surface) and I was able to do the circuit three times through. Yay! But still a couple breathers in-between and sips of water.

 

The biggest thing is that I have definitely seen improvement! Woot! I can go through the circuit, I've been doing proper push-ups (but gotta work on those abs doe), and reg. squats aren't killing my legs the way they used to.

As this challenge comes to an end, I wanted to celebrate my progress!

 

Ruby Rose: Fun

Progress: Yep! Husband got Overwatch and we've been playing that all the time. It's tons of fun and hard to avoid when actual work needs to be done.

To Be Continued: I will have actual gaming goals next challenge. Something I can measure.

 

Weiss Schnee: Agility

Progress: I've stretched everyday with 1-2 days off for true rest. Though I have not touched the ground in my splits, I have become much more comfortable and felt as well as seen me be come more flexible! WOOT! 

To Be Continued: I will actually measure the distance from the ground. Now that I'm in the habit of stretching everyday, I wanna see tangible progress.

 

Blake Belladona: Escape

Progress: When I practically began Game of Thrones this month, I'm about 80% done now! I read around 30min-1hr every day without exception. I throughly love reading and I'm so glad I'm getting back into it. I love escaping to another world.

To Be Continued: I will keep this challenge just the way it is. It's a perfect way to start the day.

 

Yang Xiao Long: Strength

Progress: I did complete the Beginner's Bodyweight Circuit! Woot! I then made the circuit harder by changing some elements (push-ups on my knees to incline push-ups, 30 sec plank to 45 sec plank, reg. squats to assisted one leg squats, etc).

To Be Continued: I want to continue this routine until I can do the circuit without stopping, proper push-ups on the ground, and a 1 min plank each time. 

 

All in all this was my very FIRST 4-week challenge and I believe I did rather well! It's amazing to see such progress. I feel good and love that I'm obtaining my goals, finally!

 

Thanks again to Annyshay for being a type of mentor... or Bending Master? ;o)... Your help/advice/and challenge template was brilliant! Thank you!

 

And I look forward to the next challenge. What theme shall I go for this time? Hmmmmm..............
