Most excellent! I think you should get extra points for doing a near bodyweight bench off yoga blocks. Badass.

The Prizes:

  • Each individual with the highest individual lift scores for their gender will receive a forum title declaring them as the champion of that lift, which must be defended at the next virtual meet in order to be kept.
  • The individuals with the best weightlifting (PTE, explained here) and best powerlifting (highest Wilks) across genders totals a t-shirt from the NF store, once it reopens, in addition to titles.

Does this mean that I'm due a t-shirt from last time (once the store reopens)? :D

Nope. I just added it this time.

So 'across genders' means the best total for each gender?

Also, @SpecialSundae, since February, with all of your back problems, I was expecting you to add maybe a couple of Wilkes points.  Then I checked the Spreadsheets from this competition and the last one:

Athlete   M/F   Squat Bench Press Deadlift
Name Weight Sex Age 1st 2nd 3rd Best Wilks Points Squat Rank 1st 2nd 3rd Best Wilks Points Bench Rank 1st 2nd 3rd Best Wilks Points Deadlift Rank TOTAL Wilks Coefficient Total Wilks Points

SpecialSundae 63 F 32 105.00 110.00 115.00 115.00 123.51 4 75.00 77.50 x 77.50 83.23 5 110.00 117.50 122.50 122.50 131.56 4 315.00 1.07 338.30

SpecialSundae 62 f 32 125.00 130.00 135.00 135.00 146.94 1 70.00 75.00 77.5x 75.00 81.63 1 130.00 140.00 142.5x 140.00 152.38 1 350.00 1.09 380.96

You added 42.66 points!  That's amazing!  I might add 20 from last time, if everything goes right tomorrow.

Slightly unfair comparison, unfortunately. I was seriously sub-maximal on everything other than bench in February.

I'm still really happy with the 16 Wilks PB that it really is.

I don't know if I'll have a chance to do a virtual powerlifting meet before the end of the challenge, but I did get to max out olympic lifts today!

Female, Age 30

Weight: 97.7kg (215#)

Snatch

Attempt 1 44kg (tied my old PR)

Attempt 2 46kg (nailed it! Finally crossed the 100# threshold for snatches!)

Attempt 3 48kg (Good lift yeah!)

C&J

Attempt 1 63kg (tied my old PR)

Attempt 2 65kg (woohoo!)

Attempt 3 67kg (I pressed it out at the end, so I won't count it. Darn!)

Best Snatch 48kg, Best C&J 65kg, TOTAL = 113kg

Huzzah!

I did my Bench only lifts.

weighed in at 217.6lbs

Bench:  305,  320, 340X.  340 would have been a 5lbs PR from Feb, but I just missed it.

I converted the weights into the fake measuring system for the spreadsheet.

Did it!  I feel pretty good!

Squat attempts:

93 kg

97.5 kg

102 kg

(I took video, because double plates!)

Only a tiny bit bummed that this would have been a body weight squat if I hadn't put on 3 kg since the last virtual comp.  Oh well.

Bench attempts:

68 kg

70.3 kg

72.5x - I made a valiant effort, though!

Deadlift:

106.6 kg

108.8x kg - knee level, and then back rounded, so I stopped & lowered - not sure if I should have fought for it or not.

108.8x stupid roundy back.

Thanks for putting this together for us, Gainsdalf!

I'll be doing mine either tomorrow or Sunday. If I'm feeling especially frisky I'll do some Olympic lifts too. As an aside, I've never done a jerk before and only "power" versions. So I expect it to be amazing if it happens.

SwordDarling and I posted our lift. No videos but we spotted each other.

She had a bit of a math error on her first squat, she thought she was lifting 47.5kg and was wondering why it was so difficult at 50 for her next lift. turns out her first was 52.5kg. oops lol

This was fun, we will be back with improvements next time.

Cheers guys

Added my lifts last night.

Went for a conservative 5kg gain on squats to save something for deadlifts (225kg)

Managed a full 10kg improvement on my last bench max out but only matched my previous PR (130kg)

deadlifted 220kg for a first attempt, 230kg for a second. Wanted 240, but knew it wasn't there, so I added just another 5kg for my last attempt and it got stuck 3 inches off the ground. No form breakdown though, so I'm happy about that at least.

Total 585kg, at 135kg, 30kg increase on my previous total. 15 less than I'd hoped for. I'm going to have to add some deadlift back off sets after my 5 singles each Friday just to try and help it along some.
