Greetings,

I'm so thankful to have stumbled across this website. I made the decision about mid-January to get in shape. The decision was in part due to what the doctors labeled a "significant cardiac episode". I wrote about it on my blog (shameless plug), it was scary. So we joined the local YMCA and for about 2 weeks I had no idea what I was doing, just randomly hitting machines and walking on the treadmill. Now, thanks to this site, I have focus and a plan. I've been doing the body weight strength training for 3 weeks and can already tell a difference, definition in my arms and abs, and oohs and aahs from the wife! Looking forward to doing more, learning about how to take care of my body, and being able to be more active with my wife and kids. Keep it up!!
