Damaramu's Battle Log: Sick And Tired Of Being Fat And Out Of Shape

My battle log is here. I've had a few before with cool little tags like "Get Diesel" and so on. But now I'm just a man that's fed up with being overfed!

 

This being fat and out of shape shit has gotten old. So I'll share my journey with you here.

 

Here are my stats:

Weight: 338 lbs

Height: 6'4"

Waist Measurement: 55.5"

Neck Measurement: 18.5"

Bicep Measurement: 17"

Quad Measurement: 26"

3 kipping pullups

44 single unders

*every 2 minutes do 5 burpees

Rounds: 5 + 6 pullups

 

 

Those burpees were a killer. Picking all 338 pounds up off the ground sucks. My kipping pull-ups are better though. I can get my chin up to the bar!

200m tandem barbell carry #155 (20 burpee penalty for setting barbell down)

Time: 21:49

Burpees: 0!!!

 

 

This was brutal. The guy that I did it with was tall and broad shouldered like me. So we couldn't stand side by side on the bar so we had to carry it like two men carrying a log. The barbell just dug into my shoulder the whole way. Not only was this a good lung burner and strength builder but it helped me build pain tolerance! I did not want to do 20 burpees and I didn't!

Morning Fasted Walk 5.12 miles (1:26:09)

 

 

 

I ran low on time because I was going to a movie with my lady. I considered going all the way around the lake if I had time which is 9 miles. But the 5 miles did a lot to make me sore and chafed so it might not have been the best idea. But it is something I want to work up to.

 

I didn't do anything on Friday because it was my son's birthday and we had a terrible thunderstorm in the morning that I didn't want to walk in and then today is my son's birthday party. But it's a pool party so I'll be getting lots of son and activity.

Another killer day. My legs were smoked from the day before so I stated light on the deadlifts. I was actually supposed to do 5 sets then 3x1 with 405, but my legs were so dead that we called it good at that point.

 

I need to start forcing my fat ass to get out of bed and walk in the morning.

I had the second best time in the class on this workout! That made me feel good. 95 pounds is so light for me though that I was just throwing them up with muscle snatches unbroken.

 

No workout tonight because we have my mid-summer party at work this evening. But it's at a place with laser tag! I always work up a good sweat during laser tag.

Sorry I haven't updated. It was a busy weekend. I tried to stay active all weekend. I went for a 3.5 mile walk on Saturday and then on Sunday I was out swimming all day.

A couple of Crossfit benchmark workouts to start the week. I'm still woefully bad at bodyweight stuff. But back in February I did Cindy and got 8 rounds but that was doing ring rows instead of actual pull-ups (even if they were banded). So I'm proud of my effort. I got a lot of compliments on my DT time so I suppose it was good.

This was a hard count on everything so I did 20 mountain climbers each leg and 20 twists each side.

 

My CF coach thinks my gas tank sucks so he told me I have to do more cardio intensive workouts. He's right because I absolutely struggled with this.
