I had to take a bit of a break.  See a lot of stuff was going on with work has I have whined about before and as some of you may know, I have been hit with major fatigue and continuous low-level nausea due to the success of the cloning project!  The experiment was a success!!  Which presented itself with its' own challenges.  Now that I am adjusted I am also ready to go on my own adventure!  I started out from humble roots in my introduction From Lurker to (Newb) Rebel!, did a few side quests and explored some back alleys in BlackTezca's Daily Battle Towards Feline Greatness and have completed one major quest in BlackTezca's 11th Trial: An Artsy Geeky Amazon becomes a Badass Retro Agent of the SSR! only to get lost in a sprawling dungeon during BlackTezca's 12th Trial: An Artsy Geeky Amazon Brings Destruction to the Silver Millennium so it can be Reborn Anew.  That just means it's time to come back stronger than ever.  Especially now that there is another person residing inside me!

Though I have been going through a lot changes, especially physically, my goals have not changed.  I want to get back into the swing of things in order aim for my main quest as well as be a good role model for the future clone!   This challenge is not only to help me come back and respawning back into my usual awesome crazy self that will be responsible for raising someone even more AWESOME than me!  This challenge is to help me onward to my main quest...and we all know which quest that is...

 

My Main Quest to be as POWERFUL and BATTLE READY as Wonder Woman

Now lets' introduce ourselves to the inspiration for this month!  I'm sure some of you have heard of undertale and also heard of the awesome story, characters in the game!  What else is awesome is the FANTASTIC music which you will be hearing a lot of this month!  I may even have the weekly summaries and start and end on an awesome song!  Before we get into that, I did mention some awesome characters so here they are!!

Undyne is on a strict regime of suplexing boulders.

Details: Undyne is a badass.  She is strong, buff, a good fighter and hilarious.  Essentially is the ultimate anime hero.  I'd like to be more like her and while I'm no where near suplexing boulder levels and I'm taking it easier than usually do, I still need to keep up a good habit of working out!  Maybe not as much as previously, but enough to get buff and strong like my awesome Undyne!!

Contingencies: Sickness and travel pretty much.  However considering the flexibility here, I should be able to do something!  Walking, yoga, etc!
Tracking: I'll be tracking the workouts using MyFitnessPal ( username BlackTezca ) and this lovely thread will be updated as well.
Grading: 
A for Working out for at least 30 minutes 3 to 4 days a week ( 25 pt - 2 Sta 2 Str 1 Dex)
B for Working out for at least 30 minutes 2 days a week( 20 pts - 1 Sta 2 Str 1 Dex)
F for all else

Details: Simple quest with a simple goal: get my ass back to Easton.  Been gone out of there for too long.  I'd like to go there at least once a week.  Hopefully more.  Problem is that they have cancelled morning classes...Still should be able to make kickboxing in the afternoons and Muay Thai sometime!

Contingencies: Sickness, vacation and any nausea from clone habitat building.  Should be all right though!  We'll see!
Tracking: I'll be tracking the workouts using MyFitnessPal ( username BlackTezca ) and this lovely thread will be updated as well.
Grading: 
A for Kickboxing/Muay Thai once a week! ( 10 pt - 1 Dex)

Details: Hey you know what I have not been doing as well?  Tracking.  I have not been tracking my food intake.  At all.  Lets' get back into the habit.  Seriously.  I'm not gonna be too hard on what I eat, but I know if I track it'll also help me make healthier decisions since I have been admittedly giving no fucks with food.

Contingencies: Phone does like my myfitnesspal anymore.  However, I can still track with a tablet and my computer.  As well trust my trust memory!

Details: SLEEP CHALLENGE!  AND WAKE UP CHALLENGE!!!  I need to make sure I get plenty of sleepy ( at least 7 hours) and I also need to get up when my alarm tells me too!

Contingencies: Mostly caring about weekdays and non vacation days here.
Tracking: Fitbit keeps me honest and I shall track here!
Grading: 
A for good sleep and waking up 15 to 17 days of challenge - 20 exp ( 1 Wis 2 Con )
B  for good sleep and waking up 13 to 14 days of challenge 15 exp ( 2 Con )

Mettaton EX is gonna bring back some GLAMOR into my life!

Details: Mettaton is fabulous.  My art is also...well...I guess decent enough!  I need to get back into drawing!  Sketching, model painting, coloring, etc counts here!  Just need to keep up my habit again!

Contingencies: Busy weeks and weekends and vacation need week.  However I have been making time for both model painting and my drawing so this should not be an issue :D.
Tracking: I have an art Tumblr and I also have DeviantArt (WATCH ME FOR ACCOUNTABILITY). I shall use those and this thread to keep track. 
Grading: 
A for at least 30 minutes 4 to 5 days a week - 20 exp ( 2 Wis 1 Cha )
B for at least 30 minutes 2 to 3 days a week - 15 exp ( 1 Wis 1 Cha)

F for all else

 

Now my challenge is all set!  Usually I do measurements but...uhmmm that won't be realistic for long.  However, I will keep taking fitness photos, mostly gauge the return of DEM GAINZ but also to see how the habitat is progressing.  It's a silly thing yeah but hey at least it keeps up the photo measuring habit.

As you can see there is a small progression already!  I won't be shirtless for long but I kinda like the idea of comparing myself challenge to challenge, even during this time.  In any case...

 

The stage is set!  The challenge is ready!  My sleepy goober face is up there!  We are ready to go!!!

LET'S DO THIS!!!  Shall I show mercy...?

Or shall I...FIGHT?!!

Day 01 & 02 Details: 02/04 workout days.  Did upper body yesterday with more yoga and today was lower body!  Hopefully my legs don't hate me tomorrow!

Day 01 & 02 Details: 00/01 kickboxing days.  Nothing yet sadly because of my car deciding not to start and needed more repair work...ugh.  Hoping that it's fixed by tomorrow afternoon so I can do kickboxing Wednesday!  We'll see.

Day 01 & 02 Details: 01/15 good sleep and good morning days.  7 hours and 7 minutes of total sleep with 17 restlessness and I woke up exactly at 7 am, which was my alarm.  Woo!

Day 01 & 02 Details: 01/04 arting days!  Worked on Undyne and Shadowsun again, finishing off flats and adding some shading now!

 

Tomorrows' Plan: Sadly another day that I'm gonna be without a car due to getting my starter fix.  I may be going to work in the afternoon but when it comes to mornings, I plan on getting up again at the first call of my alarm and doing a core and lighter upper body routine.  No kickboxing yet, hoping to get that in Wednesday or perhaps Friday (the latest by Friday).  If this getting too hard I may change that quest, but we'll see!  Hopefully not!  Work has been much easier and less stressful lately, so I'm pretty sure this challenge should be manageable.  We'll see.  Hoping to get my car back so I can run some errands before heading off to my annual Breckenridge trip.

O M G.   It took me three thread reads to "catch up" on this cloning project.    There are so many brainy nerds in these parts, I totally reacted to it as a CLONING project.

Because it's really hard for me to straddle the line between 'just enough' and 'too much', I tend to remain vague and obtuse about my personal life.  Man I wish it was an actual cloning project; the possible fortune fame/infamy I would gain would be amazing!

Small distraction: I love Babymetal.

 

This song is so awesome and I may have been listening it over and over like 10 times.  Not only that but they worked with Rob Zombie, Rob Halford from Judas Priest and are really getting more and more into the metal scene.  My little Metal J-Idols are doing awesome things!  Yay!

 

...Not undertale music yet, but we'll see what else I end up being obsessed with.

Day 03 Details: 04/04 workout days. Did a surprisingly hard yoga routine yesterday.  I wanted to stretch and keep yesterday a rest day but also felt like doing 30 minutes of some kind of exercise, so I did a yoga routine and it was rough in some places.  Pleased with that.  Did a core an upper body workout today.  I am happy to report that while some strength was lost, I am definitely still much, much better than when I started.  Awesome.  I guess some numbers for yah:

Wide Row @ 27 lb per hand @ 2 * 8

Bicep Curl @ 17 lb per hand @ 2 * 8

Tricep Extension @ 17 lb per hand @ 2 * 8 (8 per arm)

Dumbbell Pullover @ 30 total @ 2 * 8

 

 I hope to push back to 20 on my bicep curl and tricep extension soon enough.  Especially if I keep at 2 sets of 8 reps.  We'll see.  Upper body will be easier to do than lower body in a few weeks so I hope to have uber buff shoulders and arms :).

Day 03 Details: 00/01 kickboxing days.  Friday...please let me have Friday...I expect to get shit from Gigi (fair enough), but I really want to get back...especially since I am still paying for those classes.

Tomorrows' Plan: Ahhhh my car has returned to me. Honestly it's about getting to the end of the road for Pearl (my Hyundai Sonata); 10 years old, over 100,000 miles and while I loved it and it treated me well, Hyundai does not last as long as Toyota or as my husbands older Mazda.  I have been wanting an AWD or 4WD higher clearance vehicle for a while too.  Maybe a new car in the near future.  Anywho, I did do a workout today as described and I'll have to do some shopping after work today.  Once that is done and I am home, it'll be time to do some more arting in the evening after relaxing a bit.  Not much planned really.

ANGRY RANT TIME:

So one unfamiliar and unpleasant side effect of growing a clone is acne; due to the influx of hormones; my face has been breaking out and my skin not as clear as before.  I had grown used to this and despite at first being uncomfortable, had been starting to feel better about myself.  In fact yesterday, I felt really good about myself; I was having a good day and just needed to stop by the mall to grab just one thing.  

 

I was stopped twice by lovely Mediterranean women who sell facial skin products.  Ugh...you know I try not to be a vain person; I really don't want to care a whole lot about the details of my appearance and perhaps it was due to being hormonal and all the emotions that brings but...I really felt like crap.  The first time I thought mere coincidence...the second time, where the woman was close enough to see my face really hammered down my happy confidence feelings.  I felt like I had sucker written over my face (insulting to my thriftiness) or I must really have a horrible face.  Blah, it sucked and afterwards I was angry and upset.  I don't want to spend some ungodly amount of money on some dead sea, diamond encrusted, kissed by the gods, blessed by buddha, bunch of bullcrap product that I know I don't bloody need on my face nor will I fucking thank you for making me spend a stupid amount of money on such a product after you point out how much you 'want to help my skin'!  Thanks, really,  I just want to take my shitty skin and go home after grabbing a burger and then take a hot epsom salt bath to feel better again.

 

Which is what I did.

Day 04 Details: 05/04 workout days.  Leg day today and oof!  It was rough and I went pretty heavy on quite of few of these.  Not as heavy as before, but man my legs were shaky and I am not sure if going heavier yet is a good idea.  Here are some numbers:

Long Lunges @ 24 lb per hand @ 2 * 8 (8 per leg)

Curtsy Lunges @ 24 lb per hand @ 2 * 8 (8 per leg)

Straight-leg Deadlifts @ 34 lb per hand @ 3 * 8

Ski Squats @ 32 lb per hand @ 3 * 8

Weight Bridges @ 50 lb total @ 2 * 8

 

During my vacation, I do plan on going to the gym and doing Squats, Straight-leg deadlifts, Overhead Press and Bench Press with some core exercises afterwards.  Should be a decent, easy to follow 30 minute workout for the morning.  Hopefully I can keep up my momentum!

Day 04 Details: 03/04 arting days!  Background done!  Shading started and actually got about a third shaded before bed!  Let's see how much I can knock out tonight!

 

Tomorrows' Plan: My check engine light came on....*sigh*...I feel like my car is giving up on me.  Two weeks ago I had to fix a leak, Tuesday I had to replaced the starter and now my engine light comes on.  I really think my car is surely dying which is really annoying.  I had a the 100,000 maintenance in the Spring, fixed leaks, replaced starter, I am not sure what else it's trying to tell me but that it's giving up on me.  Perhaps it'll be sooner than two years when I finally get a new car...ugh we'll see.

 

Anywho, doing some overdue training today at work which should be 'fun', and then hoping to get actual work done before heading home and getting my haircut (...may ask my hairstylist for skin stuff...or suggestions).  Once I am home, it'll be doing some dishes, cleaning litter box and finishing up my laundry before tomorrow.  Busy day!  Also more art.  I'd like to finish my Underhammer image but we'll see how far I get before bed time!

Mall hawkers are a real nuisance when they aren't kicking you right in the feels. Congrats on not making yourself easy prey. I have every confidence you can manage workouts while on vacation!

Mall hawkers suck.  I'm happy I did not buy anything nor been easy prey, but I still left feeling worse.  Ugh.  At least I feel better and yay!  Vacation work outs!

They were looking for an easy hook and your hormones unhelpfully gave them one. I'm sure they had no intention of their "hook" hurting you by digging into the complicated emotions brought on by pregnancy that darn near every woman goes through in some form or other. You know you're doing the best for yourself and the baby, you should be proud of yourself--after all, you're not a slob, you're hard at work building the best you and the best child around and at some point, screw the unimportant stuff. Also, you aren't nauseated anymore AND it's vacation time (soon?). F. YEAH.

Thanks!  Yeah it was irritating and admittedly made me a bit of a downer, but that is in the past and I am feeling better!  Workout plans should be simple for a vacation so let's hope I just do it!

Day 05 Details: 04/04 arting days!  Yesterday was a little rough going since I was really tired in the evening (doing dishes, laundry, not eating dinner until later...yeah I was pretty wiped when I started art).  However, I got decently far on my shading and stayed awake enough to post a WIP!  Here it is:

A bit of a noir style background and shading is looking pretty good.  Made dim the lighting a little more, up the contrast on the shading and of course, add some backlighting from the city lights.  Hope to finish basic shading tonight along with highlights.  Not sure if I'll finish before the hubs and I need to head down to the Springs with the dogs, but we'll see what I can complete!   I can still art which is most important.

 

Todays' Plan: Randomness!  Saw this contraption as an ad and immediately thought of @starsapart for obvious reasons.  She's one of two people highly recommending yoga and this also reminded me of Aerial.  Which was a lot of fun when I tried it for her birthday a while back!  Anywho!  KICKBOXING TODAY!  That is major plans.  That and surviving another day of work before my vacation.  Simple hopeful plans.  Everything is packed up on my end, so it's just a matter of stretching after kickboxing and then chilling at home for a few hours before heading out.

Ugh and raargh.   Stupid Mall Jerks.   I mean, it's their business to sell so I guess I get it on some level.  But honey vs vinegar with bees.  Blah!    But like the others said, you rode through that rough spot and now you can just push ahead and be your awesome, gorgeous self!

 

Btw, you posted in the loft, but here too, and so I looked at your beautious art again, and ... I just want to say, that you have been an inspiration for me since I started this 'I wanna learn to draw' thing, and I really, truly use YOUR style as one of my points of inspiration in how I am learning and adapting.    I was especially drawn to the shading on this piece and holy crap girl.   I really love your shading.  <3   

 

Good job on all the other stuff too.

Yeah I know that too on a logical level for the first one I debated after I left whether I should've bought her magic face product.  However I really needed to spend money on that ONE thing I had planned on getting so it's kinda like "Well, the skin stuff will change with hormones so her stuff wouldn't help".  The second person though just really made me angry and upset.  So that experience kinda hardened me.  So yeah moving forward!  Objectively, I know I have flaws, we all do, I also know that overall I'm not too shabby still!  So just gotta stay positive.

That's so awesome and I am happy to be such inspiration.  There are ton better artists out there and it's just really nice to know that someone likes my style and shading enough to want to emulate it.  That's awesome and I am happy to help and offer all the tips!  Your art is getting each time I see it so the fact I helped out that means a lot :D!  Keep being awesome!

Day 06 Details: 06/04 workout days.  Kickboxing with some night time stretching complete!

Day 06 Details: 01/01 kickboxing days.  Yesterday! Completed this yesterday and I was EXHAUSTED!  Holy crap I was tired.  Ugh my stomach was hurting too.  Blah...But it was also fun!  Really enjoyed coming back but wary of the stomach..

Day 06 Details: 06/25 of tracking done!   Need to keep this up even during my vacation!  Must keep honest and just keep tracking!  Need more protein too.

 

Sans maybe lazy, but if you're on the wrong path you're gonna have a bad time...

Day 06 Details: 05/15 good sleep and good morning days.  I passed out about 11 yesterday and woke up today at 6:34 am so I could count today but...considering its' Saturday and we're not gonna leave until the afternoon...yeah.  Just had a hard time sleeping I guess.

 

Mettaton EX is gonna bring back some GLAMOR into my life!

Todays' Plan: I think I need a rest day of doing nothing.  We're gonna be heading up to Breckenridge today which would be a bit of a drive and I think relaxing is the way to go.  I shall still track and sleep and all that of course, but no working out today.

Honestly I was expecting that you'd need rest sooner, given that, you know, cloning tech being what it is, we haven't figured out how to rig something 'out of house' so to speak. Since it's an in-house job, you're probably going to need to take some R&R days. Probably have to fine tune your training some so you go hard when you can, and rest well when you can't.

 

Which, you probably know better than me. Just... thinking out loud, is all.

 

Also, don't you just hate it when you want to get some sleep, and your body says no? That's kind of the worst.

 

You're doing great so far! Keep it up!
