While investigating a ancient vault Myrik happened upon a old codex depicting a way of life, that could lead to Harmony and Victory.  While he doesn't know what this mystic "Force" is he decided to attempt the way of life.

Goal I:

Strength:

Continue my NFA level 4 bodyweight work outs, 3x a week Bonus points for 4x week

Goal II:

Power:

Work on more explosive exercises, Plyometrics will become a staple in my exercises.

Goal III:

Knowledge:

I have an upcoming qualification board for my job that I need to study for.  Study 15 minutes a day 4 days a week.

Goal IV:

Serenity:

I need to start meditating again.  Shooting for 2x a week.

Bonus points:

  • Find a way to mount my 2 other monitors above my main monitor
  • buy and set up LED strip lighting on desk.
  • Pick out swing set for my little ones and submit drawings and request to HOA
  • Submit Workout area design to HOA
  • Finish up last of the boxes that need to be unpacked ( 1 point per 2 boxes)

Wednesday 13 JUL:

Workout:

Assisted One Leg Squat - 10/10/10/10
Straight Arm Support - 30/30/30/30 Seconds
Wall Slides - 16/16/16/16

Bar Hang - 30+ second hang  30/30/15

All completed at the gym at my base.  I am still struggling on my assisted one leg squats on my left side, I have to use my arms more to get back up from the squat position.

Studied for my board while on watch tonight,

Didn't add any Plyometric work to this workout

Will be meditating once I get home, kinda weird to do it with 6 other people in the room with me.

Haven't done any studying the last few days due to a house guest.  will pick it up again next week.

Following for grey jedi awesomeness. Congrats on the level up!

Also, had to google spider-man push-ups. /impressed.

Yeah they can be quite rough.

Got some studying in at work for my pending qualification board.

Following!  I'm about to start body weight level 4 also :). I will probably stay at level 4 for awhile because my grip strength is weak and I'll need to do a lot of leveling up there.  Did you upgrade those squats to lateral jumping squats or was that the base exercise?

The workout called for Lateral jump squats.  The only ones I make changes to are the pushups, because I try and target a few different muscle groups while doing them.

Monday 17JUL:

Workout: (Done at Gym at work)

Body weight Squat - 10/10/10
Dive bomber Push up - 5/5/5
Ring Row - 10/10/10

Hanging Leg Raise - 10/10

Bonus Assassin quest items:
10 24 inch box jumps

25 16 inch box jumps

10 Plyometric pushups(last time I tried these I couldn't even do one without falling flat on my face, that was about 6 weeks ago.)

Knocked out 3 quests and did 3 exercises to help increase my power, that's a win/win in my book.

Plan on getting some studying in this afternoon while on watch by having my qualified co-worker quiz me on board questions.

I'll get 5 minutes of meditating in tonight when I get home.

Are you on a different world? I'm always ready to admit I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that today is Sunday (or else I'm about to get fired!).

Damn copy and paste fail on my part.  It is Sunday....

I could edit it but its to funny so it stays.

Just checking. :) Question on the box jumps - what do you use to practice those? I got to do two of them at class this weekend, and I really liked the feeling of practicing that, but am very leery about just jumping on random things that might earn me a trip to youtube.

I do vertical jumps as high as I can at home, until I make my jump box to practice them, doesn't really mimic the feel of a true box jump.  For my work up to 24 inches I started low, like stair height and worked my way up.  I think I could have done the next size up but didn't want to risk it.  I'll stick to 24 inch as my max for now.  Also sturdy park benches make for great practice because they are long and wide allowing more room for error.

Monday 17JUL:

Workout: Assassin Mini:  MASYAF world challange

5x3 pushups

10x3 alternating lunges (that's 10 for each leg)

00:15x3 plank

20x3 air squats

Was able to do 3 sets before i had to take an extended break, the only thing making me rest is my quads, they where not ready for 10 lunges and 20 squats at a time.  I will power through another set after this post and take a longer break and hopefully finish the 10 sets before bed tonight.

That's what I did! Three sets. The lunges and squats so close together with little rest in-between was the catalyst in extended rest. I'm going to do two more throughout the day sometime.

I managed to power through 5 sets before my legs failed me.  Spent about 3 hours playing black ops 3 afterwards because my legs wouldn't carry me upstairs to shower.

I am super impressed that you've managed to stay so steady in your workout routine after a huge move. Like, seriously, nice job.

On another note - did you see it changed now? Only 4 sets required! Unless you are pushing yourself to do the original - then I get it. :)

I'm pretty happy with the numbers i was able to put up considering I am fighting a cold or some sort of upper respiratory / sinus thing.

Found a old leather bond journal i had never written in, decided to make it my Fitness journal.

Didn't do any Plyometric work this workout do to the head cold thing

Studying I got about 45 minutes of studying yesterday at work, my board is on Thursday.

No new boxes unpack, have had a house guest the last week, poor guy has his car hit last week and earliest they could work on it is Monday.

Did 5 minute meditation at work the yesterday to help get my mind ready for the studying, will try for another 5 minutes tomorrow.

Monday 25 Jun

Didn't do a work out per se but put together my garage work bench and cabinets. Quite the work out from holding the cabinets up to measure and drill not to mention the fact of moving them to there locations. So I don't feel bad with not having done a full work out.

I completed my wonderland challenge for the mini and did 10 pike pushups and 5 squats. Time to unwind and get ready for work tomorrow morning. Board is 2 days away.

Nice! I'm sure getting that set up and set up was quite the workout. Hope you're feeling better from the head cold!

I am feeling much better still have some congestion but not bad.  Trying to figure out when to do my workout today, I have this thing about working out in a gym that is full of people.  Might go in the next 2 hours to get it done, before lunch so I can enjoy a nice big Prime Rib.
