2 Snatch Pulls + Snatch: 5x3x94 pounds - Missing the lighter sets felt like a mistake.  Still need to get the junk reps out.

A bunch of hip snatches and hang snatches with just the bar.

Clean High Pull + Clean: 2x5x134 pounds

...followed up with 4 High Pulls + Clean

Front-Squat: 5x134, 3x5x184 pounds

I promised to text somebody ONE picture and the parka picture was *exactly* what I had in mind.  (The response was an outraged, "That's IT??!?  That's all I get??!?")  I did not have the heart to follow through with the prank. :( But it was *so* perfect!

One week ago today......

 

Snorkeling!  Of course, I was on the surface with a paddle board like a no0b but I saw enough.  I even saw a sea turtle!

 

Water adventure, so not too many pictures to show.  Here's one.....

I knew I was getting sunburned this day and I was at peace with it.  Always something.  For a moment I was optimistic because I did not feel like I was glowing in the dark once out of the sun, but nopenopenopenope.

Yup.  Squats:

1x10x45 pound empty bar

1x10x135 pounds

10x10x205 pounds - and this marks bodyweight and 60.3% of my present 1RM.

 

No sympathy from Miss Broki's teammate, Little John.  He totally sold me out.  She showed up in time for Set 9, so finishing them was easier.  The ten sets took approximately 39 minutes.  She says I can cut another 10 minutes out of it.

 

Deadlifts:

1x8x135 pounds

1x8x225 pounds

3x8x315 pounds

 

Then we skipped all that accessory dumbbell and bench work because..... screw bench press?  Hmm.  Hitting 300 Wilks with a 135 pound bench press might be a bit much.  Hmm.  Doable with 185?  That would require about 30 pounds of Squat and 15 pounds of Deadlift.

 

CNF PL Competition coming up!

 

We did a bunch of various Snatch Pulls, instead.  And some hip snatches.  It was really hard for me to get into this work because I was so wiped.

 

Then I went out and ate like an asshole because.... I'm an asshole and I deserve it!  (Big meatloaf sandwich, smashed potatoes on Texas toast and seasonal veggies for the main course.  Fries and Chicken Thighs for "dessert.")

In other news - The AC is fixed.  Stupid simple issue or two.  So I should be good for another year or so.

Repairing?  Nah.  Getting people to come over and fix them.  I'm so mechanical I think a screwdriver is something you drink.

Another thing on the list of Other Quests.......  Tracking the Gold.

 

A few years ago, I had a system set up to track exactly where every copper piece went.  Inflow.  Good trades.  Bad trades.  Dividends.  Purchases.  I lost it in a system "upgrade" and have never rebuilt it.  The past six years are all I really care about.  The first three of those would be the most difficult to trace.

 

Hmm.  Maybe I can get this all set up by the end of this Challenge Cycle!

Gold = Investments.

 

Silver = Budgeting.  Which.  Today is the Friday following the 20th of the month.  This is when I set up and start executing my next month's budget.  I have not really figured out a way to describe a budget and leave the gp to sp to USD conversion up to anybody's guess.  Hmm.  I don't do a complete budget because all I really need is something on a scrap of paper to keep track of the bills that I know are coming in.  I had to set something up when I moved because it was really difficult to keep track of the parade of checks.

 

But I was really talking about Gold when I said this.
